Hi all, need to seek some advise here, my idle temp is about 52+ to 64+ fluctuating, after i changed stock cooler to Deepcool GAMMAXX GTE RGB. stock cooler get me always 60 degree above.
all fan curved set to quite aggresive (45 degree 80% - 68 degree 100%) GPU temp 37 degree (fan 51%, gpu setting default) when not gaming. here is my build: -case MSI GUNGNIR -MOBO MSI B450 Tomahawk Max -CPU Ryzen 5 3600 (no OC) -GPU Sapphire RX590 Nitro+ -RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8, 3200Mhz) -PSU COOLER MASTER MWE GOLD 650 i disconnected top front fan. is the temperature norm? i saw many build idle temp is about 40+... i also ordered a Artic MX4 heat paste, change out soon after receive. [living room, no aircond] Thanks in advance This post has been edited by nevermine: May 7 2020, 03:46 PM |

Do you have multiple monitoring software running? Refer to this discussion. Other than that you can try to reseat your tower cooler, even on stock cooler the idle temp should be around 40-50degall fan curved set to quite aggresive (45 degree 80% - 68 degree 100%) GPU temp 37 degree (fan 51%, gpu setting default) when not gaming. here is my build: -case MSI GUNGNIR -MOBO MSI B450 Tomahawk Max -CPU Ryzen 5 3600 (no OC) -GPU Sapphire RX590 Nitro+ -RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8, 3200Mhz) -PSU COOLER MASTER MWE GOLD 650 i disconnected top front fan. is the temperature norm? i saw many build idle temp is about 40+... i also ordered a Artic MX4 heat paste, change out soon after receive. Hello guys,
im really dumbfounded now. need some advise on air cooling, specifically on my GPU temp. when im running game, (modern warfare), the temp jumps from 50c (idle temp) to 70c and max is 80c while gaming. i thought the cooling is not enough but after i add up another 3x fan, the temp is still like this. im worried that im gonna burn the GPU if im gaming non stop. here is my build:- - Case Lian Li PC-011 - CPU Ryzen 7 2700x - GPU RTX 2080 Twin Fan - RAM HyperX RGB thing (2x8, 3200Mhz) - PSU forgot what Fan configuration 1 - 3 intake at bottom - 3 intake at side - 1 outake at top Fan configuration 2 - 3 intake at bottom - 3 intake at side - 3 outtake at top i changed to fan configuration 2 but the GPU temp is still at 81c. Can please help? im currently using SIV to control the fan speed. another software is Argus Monitor. This post has been edited by aizielectreon: Jun 7 2020, 10:57 PM |

dunno about your ambient but seems about right, you have a 2 fan card only.
nothing will burn liike this. if you feel its running to hot you can set a custom curve for a lower voltage point in afterburner. if you don't like to do the work, you could also limit the cards max temp in afterburner. you will lose some performance though. the way you add fans also less than ideal. the fan on top above the side intake just exhausts the fresh air, no wonder those didn't get you any improvement. the case looks nice but it pretty bad for air cooling This post has been edited by nrw: Jun 24 2020, 10:21 AM |

QUOTE(aizielectreon @ Jun 24 2020, 09:49 AM) 80c is normal? 80~85 °C is normal on heavy 3D gaming or video processing/converting. Most of the games (Total War: Three Kingdoms, Sakuna) I play it goes to 65~68 °C. If I play Cyberpunk 2077 then it will pump up 80~86 °C max. FIFA and NBA usually around 68~74 °C.im scared shitless man..stop playing games when reaches 80c. so what temp should i be worried about? |
