If u take domestic flight, the PPL just after the Xray scan, next to MAS Golden Lounge. If you take international flight, there are signage shown "lounge" and u need to use escalator to reach there.

Hi all,

This is my first time dwelling into this hobby so need some advice. I have 40k kris flyer pts which is only enough to redeem a one way ticket for my selected location.

How do I choose to rdeem the one way ticket and pay for the return ticket? Cos I found out if I redeem one way then buy a separate for return is more expensive than buy return withut redeem.

Not make sense to redeem one way haha.. sure need to back ma..

I cannot find the option to redeem one way and pay for return.. I choose return it say i not enough pts. rclxub.gif

Really depends on where you are going, the returning leg is normally dearer on a paid ticket whilst a redemption ticket would cost you the same points with the exception of YQ.

Eg, it is better to redeem the returning ticket from TPE / HKG than the outbound flight.

Not to forget when you price your ticket you will get online discount with SQ, in other words if u are looking at solely on the award chart, there is still a 15% discount on that. If u have 30+k , I think u should hv a return ticket to Hkg on Y.

Check out the American Express cards ie. the ones not having the Maybank brand. Most people in Malaysia don't even know these exist biggrin.gif

They used to provide 2-5x Membership Rewards per RM spent, not ideal since it's RM3k-6k per 1k miles but they do transfer to Asia Miles (and Etihad/Krisflyer/etc)
*
Unfortunately the Amex card without the Maybank logo is also a casualty from their recent review on how points are awarded. I.e., spending at government bodies will not earn you a single point.

Thanks. I found not worth to be loyal to one airline la. Cos the flight time sometimes not nice need take other company got good timing. So pts collection slower when use few airlines.

u had 40k points on SQ. that would giv u a ticket from KUL- Hkg / Tpe / China with a free stop over at SG on Y. IT should also give u some left over points as well ? U cud also look at premier economy if u want to make full use of your points.

On hindsight, if u were to transfer the points to vouchers instead of KF from MBB CC, you would likely get a few hundred RM worth. I'm sure the tickets in this case gives u a better return on ur spending.

I am ticketing AsiaMiles One-World multi carrier award ticket, damn the Manila CS dun let my route go thru after spending an hour on the phone...

PEN-oHKG-CGO//XIY-oHKG-oKUL-xDOH-AMS//FRA-xHKG-PEN

1st oHKG > 24hrs
2nd oHKG > 8hrs, < 24hrs. China & Hong Kong consider as 1 country as I check from asiamiles.com, so >8hrs should consider as stopover.

They claimed both oHKG are transit, how true is it?

I am calling Hong Kong CS now... grrrr....
