If u take domestic flight, the PPL just after the Xray scan, next to MAS Golden Lounge. If you take international flight, there are signage shown "lounge" and u need to use escalator to reach there.

Hi sifus, i am newbies to FFP, Refer to Enrich Multi-carrier redemption on oneworld member airlines (for award flights on two or more oneworld member airlines);

if i redeem from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur using Mas, Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo using Cathay for round-trip, is it works for redemption? Thank you.
*
My advise is just use your enrich miles to redeem MAS air ticket. If you want to use to redeem CX, you may waste extra 1-2 days for transit.

Examples

MH
KUL to NRT, midnight flight, reach NRT around 730am

CX
KUL to NRT/HND, daytime flight, 9am depart, around 9pm reach Tokyo. This is another midnight flight to Tokyo by CX, but u still need to take code shared CX1724 from KUL to HKG.

Thank you for advise, sifu. Since using direct redemption require more miles eg. 110000 for business class, so i am thinking to redeem through Multi-carrier redemption on oneworld member airlines since only require 70,000 if i above said is workable. How about if I redeem kuching to Kuala lumpur using Mas and kuala lumpur to tokyo using Japan airlines, is it workable for multi-carrier redemption?? Really need the advise. Thank you.
*
I m not the sifu, still a newbie for FFP. For your info, multi carrier redemption on oneworld........70K is one way (J class) only and not return, correct me if I m wrong.

Hahaha! Arrival Lounge is definitely small as hell compares to other CX lounges. But it is good for a quick shower especially after those long haul flights from USA/Europe   thumbsup.gif

For arrival, can F class passenger using the Wing First?

I will reach HKG around 9pm, my next flight is next day morning 9am. Plan to have a shower and kill my time at The Wing First.

I assume you're holding a transit boarding pass for your next day flight @9AM? If yes, then you should be able to enter The Wing as it is in the departure area, whereas Arrival Lounge is in the arrival area after custom & luggage claim.
*
Thank you for your reply. My situation is booth tickets are booked separately due to change of my schedule. The first ticket is F class and second ticket is J class. I read through the T&C of lounge admission criteria, I only can use the "The Arrival" lounge.

CX did reply me that luggage can be directed to my final destination during my check in at Tokyo, so I have the next boarding pass (J class) for next day and I only can go to The Wing or The Pier......without the "F" words biggrin.gif

Most lounges at departure floor close after last flight, which I assume around 00:30?

Upon ur arrival, I dont think the transit gate let u enter because ur flight is next day.

Dun know whether I can use The Wing or The Pier on that night or not when I reach Hong Kong? After the lounge closed, I will go to PPL (which operates 24 hours) to kill time and wait until 530am.

Hi psiloveu, I pay a whole lot of insurance annually but it stinks getting just 1x points from M2C Premier (VI).
I have HSBC VS too but how does the point reward system works for insurance? It is not clear on their website.
Thanks
*
for HSBC VS,

10X reward points on overseas hotel room and dining spend (capped RM2000 per month)
8X reward points at MV and The Gardens Mall (capped RM1500)
5X reward points for airlines, local dining and hotels and 30 plus mall (capped RM1500 together with 8X reward)
1x for other retails

the airmiles exchange is 3000 points for 1000 airmiles (enrich, asia miles and ktisflyer).

Let's say u spend

RM2000 for your oversea hotel stay, u will get 2000*10 = 20,000 reward points, u can convert to about 6000++ miles

For insurance, you pay RM3000 premium, u can convert it to 1000 miles.

Alliance only for Enrich miles.

But you gotta diligently redeem the airmiles early of the month...Otherwise, be prepared to receive SMS that mentions "Your Airmiles Conversion request was not processed as the monthly maximum has reached. T&C apply."

Having said that, if you are a very discipline person that monitor your expenses meticulously then this is definitely your go-to card.
*
Total agree with you, must redeem the airmiles at early of the month. thumbup.gif

Whoa...what sort of card requires monthly redemptions of reward points? Unless it is done automatically, I think this is ridiculous. Almost like a way to scam their customers. What if I wanted to accumulate the points for something else aside from airmiles? Not possible?
*
for HSBC VS, the reward points is really worth for airmiles conversion, and other redemption is just so so. No problem to redeem manually, I do it every 1st day of the month. biggrin.gif

What I meant is why wouldn't they allow me to accumulate the points for a bigger item redemption..like a vaccum cleaner for instance? I find that really strange. Or am I missing something here? rclxub.gif
*
Yes, u can use your reward points to redeem other items such as electronic gadgets, kitchenware, fashion, home and living items etc. without any restriction as long as your credit card account have the points. What I want to share is the reward points earn from VS card is best to convert airmiles. laugh.gif

Yes I get that the airmiles conversion is best option but how does the bank know I want to convert to airmiles? Why can't I do it after 1 year? I just don't get why we are forced to convert at the begining of every month. Makes no sense to me lah
*
When u log into your online banking account, there is a special box for VS airmiles redemption. Example for VS, 3000 reward points for 1000 EM, other card needs 10000++ reward points for 1000 EM etc.

Hi

Regarding the 10x points, doest online hotel booking such as agoda/booking.com etc counts?
*
I booked via booking.com ... I swipe my card when I reach hotel, no issue.
Regarding Agoda booking (I found out they always have last minutes promotion), so I use maybank amex to make payment, so I have no comment.
