ue630x comes in 50, 58 and 65". no 55.

kodi works fine on it but u must do the settings right.

"playback"... kodi (and otther apps) online streams are fine; local tv usb playback is poor - cannot read certain HDD brands, types, formats.

that sony uses same androidtv, i believe, should work the same for all android apps.
*
I think you missed out the 60" too. Glad to hear KODI playback is good.
Don't plan to use media box.

worth it to take 65" ? What is the international model for the UE630X ... could not find much information elsewhere.

Afaik, there is only 58, no 60.

This model is 2.5 years old, international, sold in usa, singapore, etc.

Sharp usa, plant in mexico was sold to hisense, so all new sharp in usa is made by hisense but branded sharp.

Rest of sharp incl japan was recently sold to foxconn of taiwan.

What new models after that, i do not know.

I was told by the Sharp SA when I bought my 65" 2 weekends ago that the 58" have been phased out and replaced by the 60".

It's very hard to find the 58" model anymore

good to know.

is this UNIFI supplied router or your own?

next change, get an ASUS - 50 ft wifi also no problem. tongue.gif

Archer C1200 is indeed TM Unifi supplied router, quite problematic i heard from the unifi threads...
No major issues using it right now so i guess i'll keep using it

Recently i added sd card and formatted as internal storage, planning to move some of the apps into it particularly download manager (ADM)

The only thing i'm not able to set up is that dem Astro app, installed old version it can run & login but then it require the app to be updated to newest version in order to view the channels... sigh...
My wife still cant ditch those shitty Astro channels eventhough I enlightened her with the power of streaming
Me: behold! kodi/showbox/mobdro/etc... flex.gif
Wife: nah... i rike astro still... doh.gif

60" was not available even a year ago.
likely came in later to replace 58".
i think that sharp plant in mexico makes tv only for usa and canada market.

Yea I was surprised to see 60" had to do a double take to see if there was a printing error.

Can't imagine 65" is the normal size now for below rm6k. Those 75-80 also getting more affordable, soon we won't need to consider projectors anymore for home theatre.

standard 4k tv's incl hdr are getting very affordable, even large ones.

it is only those with latest tech that price at a hefty premium.

there is dolby vision, oled, uled, quantum dot (philips and hisense/sharp usa just jumped in), 8k...

when the premium disappears for these, they will come up with some zled, quasardot, 16k... to get u to pay more! laugh.gif

i too was reluctant to change at first.
after changing, it is obvious everything is improved esp wifi - stability, max speed, coverage.
normal usage, rm2xx to get 10-15% performance improvement all round is well worth it.
been 2 years now.

There will be a Home Expo in Mid Valley end of this month.
Maybe you can wait and go to the show if there will be any promo for the TV.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago for Rm5.5k at an expo in MV and it came with FOC 3 years extended warranty

What kind of issue do you have? I'm using it on my tv but using usb aftermarket remote with air mouse, easier to control/navigate because hypptv apk is meant/optimized for touch screen actually, not so friendly with mouse/keyboard...

I'm using Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as well, however in hyppTV app the keyboard and mouse seems not really function, and the TV remote can't select properly

Just got the 50UE630X for Rm2500, pq certainly great after some setting tweaks but the sound seems to be a bit underwhelming to my ears... been using LG previously the sound certainly much better...

Date & time keep resetting to default after shutting off, need to change every time meh?
connection to internet through wifi and already set to update automatically...

Bought this for the love of android tongue.gif

Mind sharing where you bought it? I'm planning to buy one as well...thanks

Bought at HK Home Simpang Kuala, Kedah, this shop usually offers the best bang for the buck for home appliances from my surveys among few shops... thumbup.gif
