Just got the 50UE630X for Rm2500, pq certainly great after some setting tweaks but the sound seems to be a bit underwhelming to my ears... been using LG previously the sound certainly much better...

QUOTE(Ivan_T @ Aug 29 2017, 04:09 PM) How bad is the sound compared to LG? I must say LG sound is really good, vol above 20 is too loud. It sounds a bit soft and lack of bass... Using tv equalizer setting also not much improvement...Do you mean the TV unable to sync to the Wifi network time each time after reboot? yes, i know cannot expect much from tv speaker but guess i'm used to LG sound mantra... need to invest in sound bar next time/date failed to sync after reboot eventhough connected to wifi/internet & set to auto update anything i missed here? |

Done factory reset, check router setting, etc. but the date/time doesn't auto update still...
I have android box as well but it auto update no problem, setting in the box and tv is mainly the same... I noticed that this happen only when i switch off the power from the wall socket, if I just switch off through tv remote and leave the wall socket on, date/time is ok... Is this some bug with android v6.0.1 maybe? Do you guys with v5.1 has this problem if you switch off your wall socket? |

Most probably it dooesn't use/have CMOS battery because my android box when first ON the date/time also back to default but then it auto update/sync properly when internet/wifi connected...
But my tv refuse to sync the time/date even with internet/wifi is ok... A good slap to the tv's head might correct it maybe? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Aug 30 2017, 02:02 PM) standby power is just a fraction of a watt. I usually cut the power totally because few other equipments also connected to the extension plug with hope to save some electricity.total power cut off have no advantage but potentially can cause the opsys to be problematic. i would think power cut off cause the tv functions incl the androidtv to take more time to start up. the time/date function is delayed too, should come back if u give it more time. i have seen this. Only my internet/router is powered up 24/7 Yes, I noticed the delays as my android box takes around 10~20 secs to sync the correct time right after wifi/internet is connected. But my TV just sits there pretty showing 8.00am and counting with date 1/1/2015 eventhough wifi/internet is connected, after waiting many minutes nothing change... When the time is incorrect, it affects the apps such as youtube, playstore, kodi causing errors... Power ON all the way from now on i suppose |

Just for sharing regarding the date/time issue not auto sync that I encountered, Sharp service team came to test and they conclude that my internet/router is the culprit because they use wifi from their phone everything sync fine...
After some digging in the my Tplink Archer C1200 router settings, I changed the time server option to pool.ntp from nist.gov and use LAN connection instead, walla! it sync correctly each time I turn on the tv from switching on off the wall socket Problem solved, yay! |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 6 2017, 12:48 PM) good to know. Archer C1200 is indeed TM Unifi supplied router, quite problematic i heard from the unifi threads...is this UNIFI supplied router or your own? next change, get an ASUS - 50 ft wifi also no problem. No major issues using it right now so i guess i'll keep using it Recently i added sd card and formatted as internal storage, planning to move some of the apps into it particularly download manager (ADM) The only thing i'm not able to set up is that dem Astro app, installed old version it can run & login but then it require the app to be updated to newest version in order to view the channels... sigh... My wife still cant ditch those shitty Astro channels eventhough I enlightened her with the power of streaming Me: behold! kodi/showbox/mobdro/etc... Wife: nah... i rike astro still... QUOTE(scott-lim @ Sep 9 2017, 02:03 PM) What kind of issue do you have? I'm using it on my tv but using usb aftermarket remote with air mouse, easier to control/navigate because hypptv apk is meant/optimized for touch screen actually, not so friendly with mouse/keyboard... |

QUOTE(PluEitaro @ Sep 10 2017, 01:20 AM) Bought at HK Home Simpang Kuala, Kedah, this shop usually offers the best bang for the buck for home appliances from my surveys among few shops... (Tips : Deal with the man boss not the lady boss because she quite picky, charge me extra if using credit card QUOTE(scott-lim @ Sep 10 2017, 08:54 AM) I'm using Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as well, however in hyppTV app the keyboard and mouse seems not really function, and the TV remote can't select properly Well, I suggest you try aftermarket remote with air mouse like i'm using, bought it cheap only @ RM30~50... |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 19 2017, 12:21 PM) ue630x owners using Astrogo, a tip for you. Wow, thanks for sharing...Astrogo latest version 8.1.68 does NOT work. i tried several versions, and found only one will work at this time - 8.0.4.2. other requirements: .. the default leanback keyboard of the androidtv is NOT compatible with Astrogo. so, u need to go to playstore, install the google INDIC keyboard, activate and set it as default. .. the app in default is in portrait, need to install from playstore one of those "orientation" apps to rotate 90 deg, make it landscape. .. remote controls will not work, need mouse to click-hold-drag to navigate. You really are determined in finding solutions, me on the otherhand > cursing &%$@! to astro already |
