Yup prices of 65 inch tv does drop a lot compare to 2 years back. I guess now the entry is around 55 inch. guess next year the entry will be 65 inch and the prices will drop more. so imho is after buying the TV, stop looking and make the best of the current TV set you had buy. (it will last a good couple or years for me for this tv set)

this ue630x is already 2 years old.

i am a little surprised it is still selling.

other brands launch 2-3 new models every year!

and yes, make yr choice, use it to the full.

for me, this tv has been very good - picture quality (most impt) and the androidtv inside.

Very true.. Just three years ago, paid almost 6K for a 55" 1080p TV... If spending the same amount today, will definitely get a decent 65" 4K TV with real HDR.. What to do, the price of being an early adopter. biggrin.gif

I very much prefer OLEDs too and as you rightly pointed out, still too expensive to dip my toes in. No more early adopting for this guy. Playing the waiting game.

ok, i think u installed hyppewhere on iphone with the appstore.
apple ios apps are NOT the same as android apps.

google androids have playstore.
google androidtv have a playstore too but is restricted, much less apps than the generic playstore.
this is for control and security of the TV less some malware gets in.

u cannot find hyppewhere, astrogo, iflix in the tv playstore.
u need to first install es file explorer from playstore.
then u find the app (apk) from pc, copy onto thumbdrive, insert it into TV usb slot, install with es file explorer.
https://apkpure.com/hypptv-everywhere-table...m.huawei.pad.tm
this is called sideloading, enables u to install apps that are not found in tv playstore.

yeah, read back the pages, try.
*
Tried that and it works perfectly. Managed to load HyppTV and Showbox into the tv. however I can only access from ES file explorer. Is there any way to bring the program out to the main screen? (Kind of complicated to teach my parent to used)

sideloaded apps will NOT be displayed on the homescreen. only those found in tv playstore and installed will.

rather than go to esf, u can do this... need a few steps, still:

.. go to bottom of homescreen
.. click on settings
.. click on apps, downloaded apps
.. select app, open.

*** IMPT: check settings, android version.
if u get a prompt to "system update", i advice NOT to, just ignore.
becos there have been cases android5->android6 upgrade is not stable, tv may hang.
android 5.1 is good, very stable, pose no problems at all.

this sony is HDR. smart but is not androidtv.

will not matter if u do not use sideloaded android apps.

if review, best to do in a SONY thread to keep the focus.

Got my LC65UE630X set recently. Does anyone have  back-light bleeding on the panel edges?
*
Yes, you will notice slight bleeding on the bottom right and left for 65". It may not affect your movie viewing but it is definitely there.
