Looking forward for Danny review on his UE630X, I was eyeing for that as well but somehow the 65" seems to have better black compare to 58". I am not sure if it uses different panel. The price gap between 58 and 65 is ~3k.
For FHD, the 60LE90x Quattron is better in term of color and for ASTRO viewing, currently <5k.

When compare among Sharp 65UE630X Sony 65X8500 Toshiba 65L9450 Panasonic 65AX800 and 60CX700, Sharp is the best to my eyes, Sony next followed by Panasonic and last goes to Toshiba.

Happy shopping for those look for new TV....

Congrats on your new tv, usually the extended warranty is by thrid party insurance company... parhaps u want to double check the term and condition. Btw, do u get the freebies from sharp?

Uneven light distribution is usually associated with the quality of the panel, i doubt it is classify as defect, anyway, you may report to sharp service and share the outcome.

I received my TV yesterday. The black level totally awesome. The pic quality superb but if i sit too close like 1m it may appear blur.. When i at 4m, the image very clear.

One funny thing is, the video from youtube seems more lively compare to the astro..

Perhaps anyone can explain. I also downloaded kodi but do know how to use it...maybe need to do some study...

Congrat on your new tv.... btw, did u notice the thin black line on the right side of the panel? Somehow this only happen on 65" and not 58" or smaller.

only 20ft... not very useful then.

will read up and experiment a bit more.

The 5ghz band signal coverage is less compare to 2.4 but transfer speed is much faster, i get around 50-60mbps with 2.4 while 160-170mbps with 5ghz AC mode from speedtest app.

Hi, Does anyone has any idea why kodi reported ue630x is using the mediatek dual core cpu mt5890 soc and not quad core as advertised? When compare between the ue630x and Philips put6800s, the sharp pq is better with more detail in the dark scene and more natural skin colour. However, the cheaper dual core Philips is faster when power up from standby and the USB support NTFS format but only HDMI 1 handle 4k@60hz.

Thanks

can u provide link to the bolded part?
pic quality, startup time... i think they are not android driven but by the prime tv engine of the tv maker.

usb playback - this is driven by the video&audio codecs installed accordingly to their licensing.

the android comes in only when u select the android apps.

Hi, it is not from any link but under kodi app system tab. I believe Android TV need to start system services upon power up. I suspect the quad core advertised is referring to Mali t645 GPU.

The build in media player is rather weak.
Cheers.

It seems the Sony Android TV is also using the same mediatek chipset.

UE630X use silicon image sil9777 for the TV port which support hdcp 2.2 but not HDR.

if u connect the sound bar to TV via optical, there is no concern unless u have souce such as 4k Blu-ray player.

popping noise audio when play video from android built in TV, both online and offline (same clip dloaded from utube).
but no sound problem when playing same clip (both online and offline) via my android box  blink.gif, so i think it's not the tv speaker or media source problem  rclxub.gif

Poping audio noise seems to be a known problem with sharp ue630x, you should report to sharp service.
