Thanks jusbella. Just wondering whether you have problem with the blank screen. I have tried to access the iflix Menu - Account - Edit Profile, but there was nothing shown (the screen is blank). Same for "Devices", is blank screen.

even new adv50 unifi users wont get maximum speed(wifi) if using TM stock router. direct connection thru lan only will help u getting maximum speed. i already change my router to a better one and the result ive got maximum speed with wifi connection.

tried calling up 100 for upgrade to ADV50 from VIP20.. CS told me to visit TMpoint as ADV50 request is usually limited to landed houses only unsure.gif due to concerns high rise users may not get full speed out of the package

No difference. Even my old HG850a BTU is capable of 2.4/1.2 gbps. The only thing that may make a difference is the Ethernet port. The old ones are 100mbit only while the new BTU are gigabit. Then again UniFi is only 50 for now.

ah i see.

yeah doubt gigabite for wan matters for current speed.

as for lan, all my devices is connected to each other via router which has 1gigabit, so not going to matter really smile.gif

i just wondered because i've been experiencing drop connections playing heroes of the storm to the US server. so wondering is this either due to the old btu or maybe other internet users from region affected as well.

same shit happened to me playing hearthstone.

Absolutely zero difference, speed wise. In fact I'd rather steer clear of the newer BTUs for reliability sake as the components in them are actually cheaper made than the original Alcatel BTUs.

My UniFi was installed back in Dec 2011 and the Huawei HG850a BTU is still going strong. In fact when TM came last month to check on my HyppTV problem, they replaced the STB and also offered to replace the BTU but I declined. Don't fix what ain't broke.

A bit of nostalgia, how UniFi was installed back in 2010. Actually same thing today but 2-man team instead of 3. Other than the equipment, not much has changed.

The router usually crashes (auto reboot) when the RAM is all used up and all, normally from too many simultaneous connections especially torrents.

Hahaha i second that, there are teacher who like torrent but maybe 1 or 2 young and new teacher. Torrent and streaming making the ram drains alot.

my one also,it (DIR-615) suddenly crashes when I upload many videos to youtube.Tomorrow technician will come and I will tell them I upload many videos and suddenly crashes and maybe they will changed for me.
BTW,may I request them from change good condition and old hypp tv STB to new STB?haha because my STB no android based and I want android based.
PS:Today I just got 30mbps then I straight away complaint angryly with them and open report to change router(because of upload problem and speed problem-it cannot full speed, just 20-22 mbps!
