got call today after the SKMM report few days back...
same like others, she said 199 inclusive free calls,
if want rm20 discount no more free call, and said I can go to any tm point to get it

Still waiting for the upgrade to take place.. Wonder how long they need just to click a few buttons. TM sales guy didn't give me a reference number so I can check with them via 100, he just mentioned "ok u will receive an sms when it is upgraded, then u restart your modems"

Anyone here upgraded via phone? how long does it take? biggrin.gif

so guys,i went to apply for upgrade yesterday from vip 5 to new 30mbps rm 179 promo at tmpoint,lady say by 5pm my line will be upgraded but today havent upgrade,so i called them,1st one says my order got canceled but if id like i can reapply and she redirect me to sales department(put me on hold for 30 minutes),after redirect they tell me that 179 promo is only for new users.i hung up and called once more,and asked if rm 179 promo was available to existing vip 5 users and they said yes,asked for some information and say will contact me within 24h.

You can check on your OCC account there's a reference there I think. At least there's one for me but I went to tmpoint laugh.gif

Everything is moving to the cloud. As cloud computing becomes more pervasive, upload speeds will become more important.

It makes more business sense for TM to give a lower upload speed now and in the future be able to offer packages with higher upload speeds and charge more for it...

I won't pretend to understand TM's business strategy, or that of the wider Malaysian ISP industry players, in general.

The offerings as they are are just that. The pricings as they are are just that. There's no point for me to go on an extended 'they should do this, they should do that' rant because it won't solve anything.

Having travelled a fair bit around the world, I've seen broadband that is better and I've seen broadband that is worse. I am not going to keep comparing Malaysian ISPs with those of other countries because a) I'm not living there and b) again, there's no point.

As it stands, I can justify my spending on Unifi, primarily because it's needed for my freelance work.

Life goes on.

Depends , some RM179 no free call , some RM179 with free call , see what TM offer u , in my case , I pretty sure mine with free call , tested it and check bill at OCC account (calling some frens, no charge being shown at bill) .

Yup, online. Here is the link - SKMM

Ultimately, you need to complaint to SKMM for faster response. Basically, my journey took me 4 days - from complaining up till receiving call from TM HQ. Check your PM, sent you the number.

took more than 7 days (including 5 working days) and it has not been upgraded yet, i dont know what is so difficult and everyone is trying to push their responsibilities to one another. tomorow im going back to TM point pandan indah and ask them what is wrong..called 100 everyday and no answer given, worst still they tell me they cant check what is the progress because it is done by tm point so i need to check with tm point pandan indah shocking.gif what sort of bshit is this?

acutally i tested au and japan. both got 30mbps hmm.gif

also the other night i tested 1 us speedtest server managed to get like 25-27 mbps on download.

but some still is like under 15-20 or under hmm.gif

so i'm still testing.


another test is, run many ...linux iso.... rolleyes.gif torrent downloads at once to try maximize download. can check like that as well hmm.gif
