besides, regarding the rm20 discount, can I visit those shopping mall tm shop instead of the tm point? I upgraded mine to 30mpbs at that tm shop(mid valley)..I think they are agent. Or they are directly under TM which can access and submit through the system? That time when I upgraded to 30mbps, they able to upgrade it within 1 hr..Filled up the form to them at 9pm, restart modem at 10pm++ and immediately get 30mpbs, they are very efficient, hence I think they can access into TM system?

Regarding the first part you don't need to wait for a whole month to know, after a day or two the charges will be reflected on your occ.unifi.my thumbup.gif

Just confirm with UNIFI CS regarding my free call bundle with UNIFI 30ADvance. Still free TM to TM land line. Additional 600mins free to any telco line in Malaysia. Not a bad deal...

Yeah. At this point, they might as well just make it official and say that all upgrades from VIP packages will get the Voice Pack addon for free.

As for new subscribers, I would encourage you to spend a bit of extra time 'negotiating' with TMpoint staff and/or supervisors. You just might get some freebies wink.gif.

It feels like they are quite anxious to have everyone migrate off the VIP packages. I will have to try harder when I go convert my parents' and parents-in-law' VIP packages. Current plan is to get them to throw in free Jumbo packages brows.gif

I lodged a complaint with SKMM on 19 Oct. Just received a call from TM HQ pertaining my complaint. I was told the RM199 is actually inclusive of 600 minutes voice call (land & mobile). I told him that I don't even use the phone in my house and I want RM 20.00 discount.

He directed me to any TM Point and get the paperwork done for the discount. According to him, not many of the TM Point branches are aware of this discount. So, he gave me his direct line number, if any case, the officer from the TM Point branch can call him for verification.

I will be going to TM Point (Bukit Raja), hope the officer there is fully aware.

How come thru wired speed test can reach 30mbps but wifi connection speedtest the urge Tm LR-n2000 router can only reach 16-17mbps at max? Need router replacement? Pls help

Because wireless got many channel frequency, as more and more around u got wireless, den all the frequency will be interference each other so speed will be affected as well.

So try get ac router which run at 5ghz to test.

They want to shut down or convert the VIP sym infrastructure, and just go forward with the new Advance assym infra.

There's a reason why they are not accepting new applications for VIP packages.

Tq for the advise. What's the current good reasonable Ac router? Asus model? So if Ac router means 50mbps wifi also no prob ? Pls advise. Tq

Yup, ac router actually can up to 1.3gpbs.

Nah, they are not saving bandwidth if they get people to migrate over to Advance.

They just want to reallocate the infra - servers, switches, etc. It doesn't make sense to maintain too many different sets of infra. If they could, they would have shut down Streamyx long ago, but unlike smaller locales like Singapore and Hong Kong, you can't drag Unifi-grade infra into every backwater location across Malaysia overnight.

question, Unifi 30 + VPN vs Unifi 50. I think its undeniable that they really put capping especially on YouTube & FB.
