Previous version closed because it has exceeded the maximum number of pages, I guess. Just unfortunate that TS didn't manage to create a new one in time to link up with V2.

Some tips on how to change the battery for your Cerato remote

1. Remove the hidden key by pressing the small button at the reverse side of the remote
2. Use a small flat edge screw driver and twist to pry open, with care not to scratch or damage any part.
3. Replace the 3V CR2032 battery with a new one.
4. Put both parts of the cover and press them together, make sure the buttons are in alignment. Done.

No major face-lift with stark contrast for Cerato K3 at present. If any changes, probably they are just subtle changes on the trims, which are less noticable. In this modern age, for any impending face-lift of models to be brought in to Malaysia, you would get to see it on the internet first.

The thing is many people tend to compare Cerato K3 with Forte. Cerato K3 was brought in to Malaysia relatively early in reference to its domestic Korean launch, hence it seemed as though a facelift is very much overdue. Forte on the other hand was introduced quite late in Malaysia, hence it got facelifted from 4 Speed to 6 speed within a short span of time. In fact, Forte got replaced completely by Cerato K3 in Malaysia in just within 3.5 years, which is super fast for any all-new model introduction.

Hi,

Same! Hopefully the promotion will be much better beginning next year. Anyway I am still considering between cerato and honda city V spec. Very concern with cerato maintenance cost and spareparts cost in the long term (at least 9 years) although there are 5 years warranty. Fuel cost too.. hmmm...

Reporting a 6months old Kx. Car starts to have minor rattling sound, guess i spoke too soon that i have no rattling issue. But at the moment the sound is very minor and mostly from start of fresh when shift to D gear and the timing between brake release till acc pedal where your car starts to move a little. Once car moving in 5km or so the rattling stops.

So it's a small window of 3-4 secs minor sound. Could not tell which part exactly as it's somewhere around inside the HU. Very hard to determine unless dismantle the HU to check. Actually is some what still acceptable is i care less, but i can say due to Cerato can be quite quiet on stops and idle, so many of us will find the sound happen NOT pleasing to a quiet car.

If you have the rattling sound, one more possibility is the CD/DVD in the HU, i experience louder rattling in idle to moving from 0-5km, then i realise my CD in the HU. Ejecting it reduces the rattle sound a lot.

Kia Chief Designer - Peter Schreyer is due to retire in 2 years time.

Hyundai Motor will hire Volkswagen Group veteran Luc Donckerwolke to succeed Peter Schreyer as head of design for the Hyundai and Kia brands, a report said.
Hyundai declined to comment on the report but Automotive News Europe sources confirmed that the Belgian designer quit as styling chief at VW Group's Bentley brand earlier this month to take up the "offer of a lifetime" at Hyundai.
Like Schreyer, Donckerwolke, 49, worked as a designer for Audi during his 23-year career with VW and was also head of design at the group's Lamborghini and Seat brands.
During his time at Volkswagen, Donckerwolke was responsible for the designs of the Audi R8 Le Mans, as well as the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Gallardo.
Donckerwolke will move to Korea and after a transition period will take over the top design job when Schreyer, who turns 63 next month, retires in two years, the report said.
Schreyer, known as the creative brain behind the Audi TT, was promoted in 2013 to oversee both Kia and Hyundai's designs. He was tasked with giving the Hyundai brand a fresh, familywide look, as he did at Kia after being hired as the brand's top designer from VW Group in 2006
Schreyer said at the time that he would give the sibling brands more distinct identities in what he called a "dramatic evolution."
A Hyundai spokesman told Automotive News Europe: "We do not comment on speculation concerning potential appointments."

shocking.gif Wow, this is fresh, i never did thought of it as the sunglass holder is above us. Didn't think the vibration could move up till there tongue.gif

(Vibrates = sound of something knocking something = somewhere loose / something could be move to avoid the hence rattling sound)

It's totally normal, going over 100km does have wind noise or so, unless our car is highly sound accoustic, tyre roar is also normal as reported due to 17" inch type and rough surface on malaysia roads. But i do think our engine is quiet, u should hear out peugeot 208 sound. loud out of the factory.

Ya, agree that the engine is quiet.
Wind noise still bearable, but the tyre/road noise is really annoying, maybe I shoudn't compare it to my previous car, fiesta and 308.
Overall I like this car.

Hi, 1.6kx owner here. I was wondering if I'm able to buy the K3 version taillamp only, I kinda felt that the car looks a lot more sportier with the K3 taillamp cool2.gif

As for the car, I don't feel under powered or the car having any noise from interior/exterior(wind sound)
maybe its cause I change my car from Myvi to Cerato tongue.gif . Cerato a great car.

The specs differ from one market to another. Cerato of other foreign market may have an extra function on that panel, which is not available in our market. Down Hill Brake Control (DBC) is one common feature where the on/off button is located on that panel , example in cars like the Kia Sportage.

Kia cars ranked Top 3 in 2015 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study!

We are thrilled to announce that Kia Motors ranked second among 33 automotive brands in J.D. Power’s 2015 Initial Quality Study (IQS). Only Porsche, a premium brand, outranked Kia, meaning that Kia is now ranked #1 among mass market brands.

Now in its 29th year, the annual J.D. Power IQS measures the quality of vehicles based on the number of problems reported by vehicle owners within the first 90 days. This is by far the finest performance Kia has achieved in this study to date. Honored were the Kia Soul and Sorento, which received the highest scores in the compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and midsize SUV segments, while the Rio, Optima, Cadenza, Sportage and Sedona (Grand Carnival) ranked among the top three in their respective categories.

“We believe the J.D. Power report leaves no doubt that Kia builds world-class vehicles, and the results are especially gratifying as the IQS study truly reflects the voice of our customers,” said Michael Sprague, Chief Operating Officer and EVP, Kia Motors America. “Kia’s rise is one of the industry’s greatest success stories and is driven by the hard work of thousands of team members around the world, as well as our long-term strategy to concentrate on quality, strengthen the brand and elevate the ownership experience.”

See the chart below for the full J.D. Power 2015 IQS rankings.

If your mileage is below 20,000 km, you can claim against warranty. Warranty for battery is 1 year or 20,000 Km whichever occur first.

Does anyone know if the KIA Cerato logo at the front and back can be changed to the 'K' emblem instead of having it as 'KIA' ? Can this be requested when buying a new Cerato?

Hi owners, please share your experience on the battery die off issue. I have seen a lot members here reporting that the battery died off within 1 year. Is it only happen once for the 1st year, or it will cont' to die off every year.
I will be placing booking these few days, but I am concern about this issue. If this is ongoing issue probably i will skip this and go for city V spec.

No, when the key is removed away from the car, the engine will not turn off by itself. However, the car will give a warning "ting-ting" chime to alert the driver than the key is no longer in the car.

This is not an issue with the car, it is more of the battery itself. If the battery is no longer working within 1 year or 20,000 km (whichever occur first), you can claim warranty for it, otherwise you need to get a new one and it should cost about RM300 plus only.

If you replace it with a reasonable good battery and depending on usage, it should last around 2 years or more. Hope this battery issue does not affect your consideration in choosing the right car.

Ya, agree that the engine is quiet.
Wind noise still bearable, but the tyre/road noise is really annoying, maybe I shoudn't compare it to my previous car, fiesta and 308.
Overall I like this car.

I test drived fiesta ecoboost, slightly less tyre roar then cerato and was in dilemma of a powerpack little eng VS spacious n comfort. But end up this car. laugh.gif

Not sure about batt as i own this car for 6 months only. But i do keep a habit to off my auto headlight, puddle lamp, wiper and off all switch (HU radio/aircon/fan) before off my engine, preventing equipments to direct power on when start engine. So far no issue and only onces i left my car 4 days without starting.

Just go for the car that gives you confidence. Be it value/equipment/power. Because if you are confident, later issues you will have less emotions. As not all car will 100% comes no problem, still possibility of manufacture defect.

When talking about car battery, I will think of Century, Bosch and Panasonic. Can you suggest which brand/model work best with Cerato. I will be happy enof if the battery can last for 2 years+-.

Tips and tricks buying a new car (discussion)
1) I wonder when we buy a car with a loan, bank calls for verify releast of loan. Can we only release the load when we have seen the new car and upon receive?

2) After SA presend the new car, can we take the car for a spin nearby and check it out under sunlight instead of showroom light before signing receive?

3)If we have issues on car minor scratches and dent or even we suspect it's not as new as claimed (more than 6-9 months after coming out of plant) can we request to change unit?

4)My SA when to stick the plates up before i receive, maybe in future that could stick after owner satisfied with the car?

Above just for discussion on workable and better procedure. As i found out point 1 & 2 is what i mistake, after release loan, we confirm buy the car already, no turning back, and due to showroom light, some very minor issue is not visible at showroom light.

it happened to the batch that used Watta's battery only. earlier CBU batch comes with Delkor's battery, does not face the same issue.

On the subject of car battery, it is also important to note the specs, namely CCA (or another unit of measurement is EN) and RC:-

Battery specs recommended for Cerato by Naza Kia is as follows
12V 60AH 92RC
550 CCA (SAE) or 440A (EN)

1) Cold cranking amps (CCA): CCA is a rating used in the battery industry to define a battery's ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. Generally speaking, it is easier to start an engine in a warm environment than in a cold environment. The rating refers to the number of amps a 12-volt battery can deliver at 0°F for 30 seconds while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts. The higher the CCA rating, the greater the starting power of the battery.

2) Reserve capacity (RC): RC is a general indicator of how long a new, fully charged battery can continue to operate essential accessories if the vehicle’s alternator fails. It identifies how many minutes the battery can deliver a constant current of 25 amps at 80°F without falling below the minimum voltage, 1.75 volts per cell, needed to keep your vehicle running.

For the same battery size in the market (often called DIN55), you will find varying specs and price. Cheaper does not always mean better!

Basically the brands below are mostly sub par. They have some decent products, but mostly not carried by local distributors. Century in particular has had a drop in quality recently. I've used both Bosch and Panasonic and can say they do not last long, not even on a lowly car like my old Wira.

Fundamentally battery life depends on how the car is taken care of and used. If the car is parked under sun all day, the battery will deteriorate faster. If you drive the car often, then the battery will have a chance to recharge. Most importantly the miles in between engine restarts. Driving frequent short distance trips will not give it a chance to recharge to it's optimum capacity.

I had my ride for about 1.5 years and did a battery check at 30K. It was dying, but not dying as fast as others, mainly I suppose I put in a good 30 km in my typical drive. Nonetheless, once it drops to near 70% of it's rated CCA, it's probably time to look for a replacement. Mine was 411 at the time, and the battery was rated for 550. I can feel cranks are slightly more difficult but no issues starting. Having said that, a decent battery will last a good 2 years.

However, the battery problems on the K3 are mainly also because Naza choose to use a lousy battery from a lousy manufacturer. They have another brand, and it is also one of those in my list of batteries never to buy. I heard the recent batches changed to an AC Delco battery, but I guess SA(s) can confirm that, or if they are still using that lousy Watta battery.

Nontheless, do a battery check every service and plan for a replacement within 1.5 years if you are using the Watta battery. They don't last long. There are plenty of good brands out there like Trane, Varta, Atlas BX etc. And it will cost you less to change outside than at the SC who will milk every hard earned dollar from you.

Just my 2 cents smile.gif

P.S: I went for Atlas BX. Those interested in the contact, do PM me.

This is something that Cerato owner may not realize without looking through the manual

Defogging Logic is to reduce the probability of fogging up the inside of the windshield, the air intake or air conditioning are controlled automatically according to certain conditions when using defroster.

Simply every time when you turn off the A/C, it switches from recirculated air position to outside (fresh) air position, so , one has to select recirculated air position again to prevent outside air from getting in.

So deactivation defogging logic stop it from switching automatically everytime. Please follow the steps as shown in the guide in the picture below, if you have this issue.

Hi. I have a crack on my windscreen thanks to a rock just now, where can i possibly fix it (with insurance) and is it ok if I delay the repair? As in fix it later when my schedule is free?

Sorry to hear of the stone crack.

If you have insured your windscreen of at least 3K, you can have it changed at any Naza Kia authorised SC that process insurance claims such as at Red Cube, Glenmarie, Puchong or Setapak

Otherwise, you can also replace it at other windscreen shops such as Dr Cermin or Dr Windscreen at lesser than RM2500. If you have done any tinting, some shops can even help you to claim for partial compensation for the tint too. Do discuss this with the shop directly.

You may delay the repair if there is no crack line that may potentially spread and cause the whole windscreen to collapse or shatter in pieces. Usually, you tint may still help to hold it in place, if the stone crack is isolated and windscreen appear to be stable.

how long the crack line ?
if not very long , try to look for nearby dr.cermin shop they can apply some glue to protect the cracking become more long . is only temporary solution , if you have cover the windscreen insurance , you can wait till road tax almost expired then only do a claim .

It's not that huge (like 5 cent spider) but it's very annoying lol. i do have windscreen insurance, will take your advice on claiming before the expiry of roadtax. Thanks for your recommendations

Hi guys,
Recently i been experiencing another rattling sound near the passenger door side, the rattling is quite bad as almost everytime i accelerate the sound appears. At times it's loud, and i kept try to check where and which area of the door have loosen components but still fail to locate (handles, buttons, power window) i do notice the side cover near the air bag switch area (passenger area) have a gap but i don' think it's from there.

If it's the internal area of the door, i am in dilemma wether to have it check as affraid sc open the side cover and reassemble it i just scare it might get worst (no confident in malaysia sc work to open side door cover)

Any advice? Or anyone face this problem and might have idea where /how to fix it?
The rattling sound really drives me crazy when driving. rclxub.gif

Can anyone share how does the Auto reset meter works? i tried to set it on auto and i read manual said atleast pump 6L of fuel for it to work. I tried 2 times, 1 time is off engine and pump full tank. The meter does not auto reset. So i thought need to have the engine on to have it work. 2nd time also pump full tank, same nothing happens. I have to manually reset the AVG/L meter.

No problem for the Auto Average Fuel Eco reset for my test drive Cerato, as shown in picture below.

Steps :
1) Set the Average Fuel Eco to auto mode.
2) Turn Off Engine
3) Fill petrol about 8L
4) Start engine, wait for 2-3 seconds before the reading auto reset.

You mean your left site near the speaker there, when going uneven road and high speed you will hear it.

To all existing KIA Cerato owners, please beware that there has been a recent spate of theft cases of Cerato rims and tyres. I have heard from 2 customers who had their rims stolen.

Please take preventive action such as
1) Parking at a secured and brightly lit place with high traffic and not at a secluded spot.
2) Fix anti theft lock nuts as prevention or deterrant.

Consider to insure your rims and tyres (if you think you are at high risk), under accessories cover. In case your rims are stolen, you are able to claim without loosing your NCB. The premium payable is 15% of the sum insured. For instance, if you insure RM5,000, premium payable is RM750 per annum.

Please note the original Cerato rim cost more than 2K per piece, so it is imperative that you take necessary precaution against such losses and inconvenience.

Honestly speaking, if a set of 4 cost RM8k I would not hesitant to get myself a premium Japanese brand outside rather to pay them to SC to bring back another set of 4 of the same design. Not to mention the original RIM is just too heavy.

One question here, if I were to claim/change my front windscreen anywhere other than SC, how would I know it is genuine KIA Cerato front windscreen?

Pricing varies from shop to shop outside and ppl is saying that is because the origin is different. China, local, Korea made are all available at different pricing.

How to know if the windscreen is original KIA Korea made?

Well, what if you only loose 2 instead of 4? If you loose one, you can still use the spare one from the boot, but if you loose 2, you need to buy at least 1 new one, instead of changing all 4, right?

You wouldn't know for sure as windscreen from other sources look exactly the same, with KIA logo etching etc. There is definately no local-made windscreen , as the volume is insufficient to justity local production. That means , the windscreen can either come from China or Korea. For all we know, the one coming from Korea could be outsourced from China too, as we are all aware of, most of the things we use are made in China these days.

There is no specific reason to suspect that one source of windscreen will be more durable than the other. However, the primary concern when changing the front windscreen is how it affects the smoothness of the wipers. If the curvature of the windscreen is somewhat imperfect, your wipers may not be as smooth or will make some disturbing sound. If you face such a problem, you will need to ask the supplier if they are willing to change to a completely new one to solve this issue.

I am not able to answer this question, as I do not know where the outside windscreen shop get their supply from. The only assurance I would advice is that you must check if the shop provide any warranty in case the windcreen is defective i.e like the in the case of the wiper being not smooth. I know most Authorised KIA Sc will give such warranty.

You save me a trip to sc for the rattling noise beside the passenger door. Initially i kept thinking is passenger door as sound from that area. Then i try to stick over from my seat to passenger trying to have a better sound detection, then suddenly the sound like moved to my side of door. I try few times and found the sound like moved from left to right when ever i stick my head to passenger area. So i thought of maybe really might be the sunglass compartment. So i moved my glass abit and the sound dissappear.

How glad i am knowing that it's not my passenger door build quality that creates the rattling sound everytime i step on the gas.

Now only concern is the front dashboard sound. But atleast front dashboard sound is minor and i can still ignore the rattling.

I think Kia SC may give a certain limited time warranty against any cracks after installation due to workmanship. Sometimes, due to uneven pressure which develope as a result of poor installation, there is possibility that the windscreen may crack on its own after leaving the workshop. Best to consult the SC concerned for the specific details. Most outside workshops will not give you this warranty.

The original 17" rim from Korea cost around RM2.5K. May I ask why do you wish to change? Perhaps, you can save some money by using your spare one instead. However if you really need to replace one, I have one previous customer who had changed his entire set of wheels and is offering his original rims for sale. Do PM me if you wish to buy used original rims.

At the same time, I would like to remind all Cerato users to take precaution against rim theft that has been quite a common occurrence of late. Thieves seem to be targeting Cerato rims due to its high value in the parts market.

As for the driver seat, mine is shifting when I turn corners. Sigh. Sent to two SC but could not resolve the issue. Don't even want to change the railings for me. cry.gif

Hey Guys, anyone of u settled the problem of the metal rattling sound from drive side? I cant find the sound source and it only occurs when the roads are uneven. Sent to SC PJ Red cube but they didnt manage to get it. Any idea or any sc / workshop can introduce ? Thanks

sounds like steering button buzzing noise to me. One of the common issue of Cerato.

U try to put your ear to the steering left side button group. Many say is the call GREEN button, u try to press/hold the button when u hear it.

Mine is the Mode button.

There is indication that bank may increase Interest rate for Car Hire-Purchase effective 1st August 2015. Strongly suggest to all who are deciding to buy cars to lock in your loan application this month in order to enjoy the current prevailing rate.

Findings from the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2015 Malaysia Customer Service Index (CSI) Study show a trend – Malaysian vehicles owners are expecting more out of their dealer service experience, but authorised service centres are struggling to keep pace with their rising demands.

The study, now in its 13th year, measures overall service satisfaction among owners who took their vehicle to an authorised service centre for service maintenance and/or repair work during the first 12 to 24 months of ownership. Service satisfaction is rated for mass market brands, so the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus are not included.
The study evaluates new-vehicle owner satisfaction with the service experience by examining dealership performance in five factors (in order of importance): service quality (32%); service initiation (22%); vehicle pick-up (18%); service advisor (15%); and service facility (13%).

Satisfaction among mass market brands averages 749 index points (on a 1,000-point scale) in 2015, which is a five-point decline from 2014. Customers are expecting to receive a higher level of service, overall satisfaction averaging 815 among the 12% of customers who indicate they had a “better-than-expected” service experience, compared with 842 in 2014.

The greatest drop in satisfaction is in service facility, where satisfaction has declined to 773 in 2015 from 785 in 2014. Ease of approach to and convenience of service centres contribute to the decline in satisfaction in the service facility factor. Among the 3% of customers who indicate having a “worse-than-expected” service experience, overall satisfaction is 558, down from 590 in 2014.

“Clearly, customer expectations are on the rise; hence, it is critical for service centres to provide a positive experience throughout, from service initiation, which is gaining importance, to delivering the vehicle back to customers, while remaining focused on delivering service quality,” said Rajaswaran Tharmalingam, Malaysia country head at J.D. Power Asia Pacific.

The study also demonstrates the importance of satisfying customers to improve loyalty and repeat visits. Among mass market brand owners who are highly satisfied with their service experience (815 points up), 42% say they “definitely would” revisit their dealer for post-warranty service, compared with 12% of those who are highly disappointed (698 or lower).

“Service centres must strive to always enhance their service standards, specifically in offering the value-added standards to their customers. This is precisely what delights customers with their service experience,” Rajaswaran added.

Now, how did each brand do? Top of the league is Mazda at 774 points, just one point ahead of Mitsubishi at 773. J.D. Power says that Mazda performs particularly well in the service initiation and service quality factors. Honda completes the podium with 760 points, ahead of fellow Japanese big boys Nissan (758) and Toyota (756). As for national brands, Perodua is above the 749-point mass market average at 753, while Proton is far behind with 726.
The 2015 Malaysia CSI Study is based on responses from 2,812 new owners who purchased their mass market brand vehicle between February 2013 and May 2014 and took their vehicle for service to an authorised service centre between August 2014 and May 2015. The study was fielded between February and May 2015. Agree with what you see?

Just received my RED K3 from Buydirect aka Mr. Loh last week.
Despite having best discount & free gift in town, I am still getting superb service from Mr. Loh.

Really enjoy my ride back to melaka...
my lowest fuel consumption achieved is 7.6L/100km which is not bad.

Century is quite reliable. Ultimately, you need to look at the specs of the battery, it must be one that is specified / recommended for K3 2.0.

Anyone receive call from PJ Red Cube tyre mechanic asking for cash to change chamber?? Sent my car in for service and receive a call, he said if receipt required it will be charge GST but if pay cash directly then no need to charge. Even the receipt given is not issue by KIA but by his own sdn bhd? This sound very fishy and I wonder if anyone come across such before? Is this common in all other KIA service center?

Generally, most SC do not have their own tyre and wheel alignment facility and most, if not all, subcontract the task to nearby tyre shops. Maybe that helps to shed some lights into your question.

A suggestion to save some money. Use the spare tyre that came with your car to replace the spoiled one and then get a second hand one which is still in good condition to be use as spare. thumbup.gif

Hey everyone,

Planning to go to PJ Red Cube for my 20k service next week (currently still 13k only but already 6 months). Want to ask them to fix a few stuffs as the SC at Seri Kembangan is not able to do it.
- creaking sound on dashboard, in between clock and lcd screen. Also some sounds at front passenger side, not sure near front speakers or B pillar.
- driver seat starting to move around.
- sound from the back when going on bumps with back passengers.
- need to pull handbrake to the max, otherwise will have some sounds (not sure if this is normal).

Don't mind being recommended another SC also if they are able to solve these problems.

Is it recommended to do tyre alignment there also, or is better to do at other shops?
If better to do outside, any recommended shops at Seri Kembangan area?
Thanks!

I had two problems with my Kia Cerato, the first one is the battery. I bought the car on end of November 2014 but the battery died on me on early August 2015, so the battery failed in just 8 months. I called customer service on 6pm, they sent someone to help me jump start the car, so thumbs up for their customer service! I brought the car in the next day to PJ Red Cube, they replaced the battery for me, However, when I popped up my bonnet I found that they didn't close the "Positive terminal" cover at the battery compartment, it left me with very bad impression on PJ Red Cube service centre.

The second one is the "creaking" sound on my brake pedal. I had them to check on it, I left the car there while I headed back to work. When I collect the car on lunch time, the person on front desk told me that it's normal, that she compared with another car that was brought in, it had the same sound. I was dumb founded, that's pretty rubbish reasoning to be honest. But my guess is that, they didn't really understand what it meant by "creaking" and thought it as the "air pump" sound.

Anyone can recommend me a better service centre nearby PJ?

By the way, due to this battery incident I bought a RM24 battery analyzer from ACE hardware, it's just device to poke into the charger with several LED indicator, to my surprise, it indicated that my alternator is charging slower than "Normal", I don't exactly know what is classified as slower than "Normal" since it's just a bunch of LED without volt meter, etc. Should I be worry? Anyone has experience with bad alternator with Cerato? Thanks

I can help you with some questions.

- driver seat starting to move around. I wouldn't bet my money on this. I have sent to them twice and the problem is still there. Car is with them now for the third time and I hope they can fix it.
- sound from the back when going on bumps with back passengers. - they can fix this but you'll probably have to leave your car with them for 1 - 2 days. While they were helping me to fix this, they also said that fender were giving out the nyek nyek noise.

A quick update on last Friday incident. I did not pay the tyre mechanic directly, he was waiting for me at the SC when I arrived. I requested to meet the SC Manager but he has already left for the day. I insisted an official invoice and they did that for me. The item stated in the invoice is 2 front camber skru for around RM127. Seriously, over th last 2 days I did not notice much of a different after SC replacing it. Lesson learned, my car is only 14 months old and mileage around 15,000km. It seem like the camber has a terrible short lifespam, even worse than my previous proton. Honestly, I felt cheated because the mechanic attempt to pocket the cash himself, when I realized and try to stop him from doing it which in less than 10mins, I was told is already done. Hence to all the KIA owner, I strongly suggest do not take the offer and get your car seek second opinion outside. Also, when I send in my car for service fuel consumption shows 10.8km/L, when I collect it it turns to 14.8km/L. I wonder if anyone else notice this or not because this show how they "test" and take "good" care of your car while sit in the SC huh. To bump from 10.8km/L to 14.8km/L takes a lot of aggressive driving style huh?

Thanks for sharing your experience . From the perspective of a SC, it is quite a difficult/catchy situation when it comes to advising owners on the need to do the wheel/tyre alignment and balancing. If the tyre set-up is no longer balanced/aligned, the wear will not be even, and may cause one side of the tyres to wear faster than the other, and as such, your tyres need to be replaced much faster than their expected shell life. Very often, the front tires are rotated to the rear tires at every 10,000 km and this is what the SC usually recommend owners to do. Ultimately, the owners can exercise his/her discretion since he/she is paying for it but it is the duty of the SC to advice the owners what is best for his/her car, it is not always a case of the SC trying to profit from the owner, generally speaking of course.

. Also, when I send in my car for service fuel consumption shows 10.8km/L, when I collect it it turns to 14.8km/L. I wonder if anyone else notice this or not because this show how they "test" and take "good" care of your car while sit in the SC huh. To bump from 10.8km/L to 14.8km/L takes a lot of aggressive driving style huh?

totally understand how u feel. i just got back my car for 2nd service and didnt really like they use the car for personal aircon room and juke box. Got shock twice after receive my car, 1st is start engine, the sound of max aircon blower n temp, then the radio is 5times my ori vol when i hand over. They didn't even take liberty to off my aircon when hand to me plus 5x vol? is that necessary? and i have to readjust all mirrors and steering height. Outside workshop they just need adjust seat to drive in workshop, not all settings whereby i am the very particular type in seats and settings, took me 15mins to readjust my satisfactory. i understand workshop is hot, and seat adjust, but atleast off it for me. sc really treat your car for joy with 5x volume. duh.

by the way if anyone wash their own car, don give sc to wash, can see they dont use good soap, not even moderate. plus, if switch tyre, don give sc too, it is more than outside workshop n better make a marking as prove if they forgot to switch, u have proof.

I noticed that too when I got back my car from PJ SC. Avg consumption did increase, but not as much as yours though. Noticed that it was probably about extra 10km, but I guess that's probably when they took it for tyre alignment and balancing. My scratched rim on the front right was still on the front right after I collected. Not sure how they did the balancing. Was expecting it to be on other sides of the car or replaced by the spare tyre. Carpet was also not properly put back in place after washing, look like they were just thrown back into the car. And the best thing was when I collected the car, they told me my car was in front but it was not there. I had to walk all over the SC just to find my car only to find it parked at the back. Overall not really the best experience there sad.gif

It is an OEM product. You won't be able to find the brand as Naza has a contract with the supplier and they enjoy exclusive rights on the sale and marketing of this product for K3 in Malaysia.

@Chester77 @dlwl

Looks like I'm not the only one who suffer such poor experience with this PJ Red Cube Service Centre. After posting that other day, I decided to submit my complaint to KIA and I did that through online here at http://www.nazakia.com.my/support/contact-us/

I received a respond couple of days later and a follow up call back. At least KIA listen to customer feedback and they willing to take action in improving their service. I've been driving the car for more than a year and I'm a satisfy customer despite countless people warn me about Korean car. I'm a happy customer until now and I'm sure the SC deserve a chance to improve their service.

I look forward to my next visit and I hope things would become better this time.

Alignment can be fixed during the first service, remember to highlight this to the SC concerned.

I found this reply in the internet on the subject that you brought up:

A GPS-based speedometer is only accurate on the flat. On a gradient it under-reads, as the surface distance (and therefore speed) is greater than the horizontal distance). Also, it cannot work if it cannot see the satellites (e.g. in a tunnel).

The regulations that car manufacturers must adhere to in order to sell their cars in the major markets do not allow speedometers to under-read, but do allow them to over-read by up to 10%. This is so that if there is a 30mph limit, and the driver assumes the car speedometer is accurate and sticks to an indicated 30mph or less, the driver is not exceeding the limit. It also must work at all times. A GPS-based speedometer cannot meet these regulatory requirements.

Therefore, to err on the side of caution and keep their cars legal, most manufacturers develop speedometers that over-read by about 3% with a tolerance of about ±1% on new tyres (as the tyres wear, or if the pressures are too low, the amount of over-read increases).

Minimum amount to insure is RM2500 to fully cover the front windscreen which happens to be the most costly piece of glass, if you repair at shops like Dr Cermin. If you go back to Naza, need around RM3000. Thanks

Thanks. It is indeed a very expensive piece of glass. to insure up to rm3000 would probably set me back close to +rm400 in premium.

U try to put your ear to the steering left side button group. Many say is the call GREEN button, u try to press/hold the button when u hear it.

Mine is the Mode button.

common area:

-twitter cover
-steering buttons(stuff tissue below the button or pull& hold the button up and see if sound stops.
-center plastic around HU
-inside door (give it a bang)
-seat belt cover/trim beside the seat
-meter top plastic cover

I don't think this is available as an optional part for upgrade. I saw this on the Kia Forte Koup concept a few years ago but haven't seen it again in any production cars, not even on the actual Koup model. The reasons this was not adopted in any of the production cars could probably be due to the high cost or even material durability under extreme temperatures.

Sorry to side track a bit but just to share that those who have the budget for Cerato 2.0 at RM117,680 , you can now also consider to get the newly launched Kia SUV, Sportage 2.0 2WD at only RM118,888 OTR. What are your thoughts ?

Yes, that's correct.

1) Press set (beep once)
2) Press 1 or 2 (beep twice) to store the setting under 1 or 2

The seat position is now set. If the seat position is changed by someone else, just press 1 or 2 to change to your pre-set seating configuration.

It does save the position, but after few days i didnt start the car, it will revert to default mode.
I will just check with the sc for this
*
i can't really tell what is default mode/seating position tongue.gif
but anyway i disabled the "move on exit" now as my rear passenger complained shock by seat moving back
since i not that tall until need the seat to move back that much...i disable it for now...lol

It is called "Seat Easy Access." Yes, for some , it is better to have it switch off, because it becomes difficult to stretch your leg to step on the brake pedal to start the car engine, before the seat could move into the desired position.

Spotted some paint defect on the top, not sure what happened.
Tried to claim from SC last week but rejected, according to them this is not a manufacturer defect.

Anyway, anyone knows where or how can I fix this?

Looks like some acid had eatan away the paint. You will need to respray the roof, look for a good paint workshop.

Do I need to respray the whole roof? Or can I just do some touch ups?

It depends on the skill of the workshop and also the condition of your car paint. If the paint has already turn matte, the new coat of paint for the affected area will look slightly different from the rest of the roof. But then again, the painting is at the top of the roof, which is not very visible. If you have the budget, just repaint the entire roof.

just ignore it and drive saja, not from an obvious place.
Take it easy, not everything are perfect. In the next few more year, you wont care for it anymore. haha.
If I am you, I would just spend penny to buy touch up paint to touch it up, instead of wasting more money for painting job.

those touch-up paint kit sell in store don provide color available for some model...only famous 1...
at least some treatment has to be there before it worsen...otherwise wait til it worse then repaint biggrin.gif

Yeah if repainting I guess is gonna cost quite a lot, and it's just a small spot. But what is already seen by my eyes cannot be unseen. Will always be looking at that spot laugh.gif
I heard of some touch up paint before, but just wondering if there's anyone who does it. Wouldn't mine paying a small fee for someone who knows how to do it. Otherwise have to just give it a try myself blush.gif

Thanks. But why mine show in the LCD is 11.2L/100. Any problem ? Cause I just took my new car last week ...Is it normal ? Or need to wait 1000 km then go service the car then only show the accurate for how many L/KM ?
Mine show 638 km after pump RON 97 full tank.

bro...its a computation result from the computer based on data from sensor, which of course can vary depends on driving condition...
best average is still from taking total mileage traveled, divide by liter of fuel pumped (KM/L), or liter / KM (xx L/100KM) etc
a lot stop-go or congestion definitely higher...so don feel surprise...

Yes, many experience improved FC reading after first service. To get more accurate reading, do as suggested by dinozilla

My Cerato fuel filler cap wire attachment came off. Where the mounting point for the wire? Does anyone know? I cannot locate where it is on the body of the car.

i've been using the car for 20 months and currently at 58k and my tyres are botak already.
hoping to change to tyres that can last longer than i'm currently using. I drive slow and prefer comfort over perfomance.

For hand phone battery charging via USB cable, as far as I know, it only works on some HP brands. Alternatively, you can get the in-car charger cable and connect it onto the power point, instead of USB.

i bought and tried touch up paint, stated for k3, but the result is very diff from the actual paint. it is ok for every minor spot touch up. Not recomment for any spot above 10cent. unless u really don mind the color difference n just want to cover it.

Mine show 638 km after pump RON 97 full tank.

i can say the reading is not accurate, but it gets better. however i been using the car for 10months, ave reading is 7.5-8.5, highway 70percent. But if i use petrol pump over km, it is 9plus L. i bet after 3-4months drive u won't care anymore. lol

Yes, the 3 year service (or 60,000 Km ) is valid for whole Malaysia and is valid by registration before 31st December 2015. There is no full facelift yet as of now , as even Korea / International market have yet to launch any new facelift version of the Cerato.

the problem i guess is the OS is Windows CE
Waze available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone...
WP is the closest you can get but i think will require tweaking to get it works...
or it may not since WP now going .app way, not .exe

I am afraid the answer is no. But trade in any old Kia owned by your relative is allowed provided that you can show proof of the relationship ie marriage certificate, birth certificate etc. For more info, feel free to PM to me

Previously I did make complaint thru their Nazakia website by filling up the contact us form. They reply me by email and subsequently by call after few hours later. They even keep on follow-up with me until my issue settled but this happened 4 years ago & I'm not sure how their service standard now.

yup, i will send to sc for boot issue, but funny for the starting eng sound as i did not have this issue previously, no bearing sound, althought after the 2sec, the sound is not heard again until next start of eng. hmmm.
plus head unit fan sound also getting louder, funny i did not notice it until recently, all minor sound start to act like dashboard (mostly due to eng vibrate that makes the car vibrate and loose wire or,something start to sound), these issue is almost unsolveable as kia won't garantee it solve after taking off the whole dashboard to check.
i miss my silent cerato. lol.
now, only the eng sound i feel cencern others just have to live with it.,

Every car is subject to wear and tear and overtime, some sound becomes quite inevitable. That's why buying a brand new car, compared to a used car (with mileage exceeding certain numbers), despite the cheaper price has its sets of advantages. Just my 2 cents.

yup, agree. that is why dashboard minor sound i ignore and some here n there rattling (due to mantle prob?) but engine i abit concern since not even 1year, a responsible user should take care as it involve life. minor sound in morning start in dashboard or seat can still ignore as not life n dead, lol

Kia Cerato Facelift
With the current unfavorable currency exchange rate the price of this new model is unexpectedly going to more expensive than the current model.

Anyone can suggest if we can change the radio to full 2 Din unit? Can't find a compatible bracket. Thought of changing to Pioneer AVH-X8650BT.

TIA for your advices! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Just to share the anticipated increase in KIA prices for various models effective 1st Jan 2016. Price increase is quite consistent with that announced by other makes as well.

I honestly doubt RM will return to its previous exchange rate anytime soon but if it does, I am sure market forces will ensure all car distributors to price their cars as competitive as possible to gain market share. Exception would be in the case of the model is too hot and has a 6 months waiting period.

It is a licenced GPS software. You will need to make payment to update the map. Have you tried to download the latest map into your micro sim card using a card reader?

Just got my car from Edwin aka @motorman. Excellent SA service, hard working, fast and good attention to details. Highly recommended.

He helped me a lot through the process and also managed to find a good trade in for my previous car.

Also, if you drop by, be prepared to have a good chat with him! He doesn't just talk about car and try to sell you wheels. smile.gif

It is best to follow the recommended tyre pressure by manufacturer. Over or under inflation may actually result in higher wear and tear of your tyres.

The speakers are only inside your car, of course. Seems like the only solution is to lower your bluetooth volume, so that someone outside doesn't listen to your phone conversation when your car is stationary. Doubt any other sound proofing solutions will help.

Don't know exactly why. Could be due to production/design limitation or supply issue. Black (unpainted) is a neutral color anyway, so at least, it doesn't look out of place.

*
r u speedster?
r u a regular kaki genting?
if no 1.6 not really a big issue for u...
i did once with it to genting wit my wife after 1k service...
lower half of it still ok, part after gohtong jaya which is more steep take a bit more effort especially the super steep turn before fong lye...
so i believe a full car adults would be tougher for 1.6 (if you don wan press hard)
but how often u wan go up anyway...
if u r regular goer and highway kaki....i think 2.0 may b to ur like....
for city and slow driver....1.6 still sufficient quite...
but i do believe the best combo is 1.6 turbo or 1.6 hybrid for a 1.6 Kia/Hyundai....or a 1.8....unfortunately we don have this here...

is the 1.6 enough for cerato/elantra....my experience is it is a yes...
enough for normal go-er....
power/weight is on the low side vs that same price range, but u get a c-seg...

the reason y i end up not go for 2.0 is...
1) wife not fancy for leather seat...n i don really feel the joy of have 1 too...
2) sunroof....really can't find a good time when i will really use it much...
3) seat aircond...only if i like leather...
4) 2.0...the only dilemma that hold me that time....but deciding factor was (a) 1.6 enough for city use, (b)discount for 2.0 back then not good enough to bring the gap closer to 1.6 that will bring me for the jump...

as long as u r not always in a jam type and u have the pocket depth...i would recommend u go for 2.0...(don forget road tax 379)

if you step harder... its always enough to go up genting haha.... depends on your fc in the end when u reached the top... however... for city drive and constant jam... 1.6 will be better.... as ur car engine wont consume as much a 2.0 during traffic... if u go often on highway drive... go for 2.0... for me... 2.0 nth special to look at... except the sunroof and the air ventilated seat.... the rest 1.6 k3 having the same spec.. why pay more now as u can save the money to pay more petrol in the future... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Yes. Go to speednavi website and key in the username and password. Chassis number for K3 normally started with PNAKSxxxxxGxxxxxx. Your username and password for the speednavi naivigation are the the last 7 digits starting from G as highlighted in red.  If you still fail to log in do get in touch with Naza accessories dept.

Update for previous map update question. I personally went to the shop at 222 to update the map and lucky me that the service guy still able to update it as i think i just passed by 1 year period by 1day (i think la as i got by car 1 yr already). Anyway actually i don't think there's much kia owner go to update map as the tech actually was abit blur when i said i want an update.

Finally i did ask able the manual update via online and the tech gave me my login, for those that tried above method that does not work, u want replace the Gxxxxxx instead of G, use C, because the tech say few models start with Gxxxx, so they replace the G to C for login to differenciate Cerato.

Good luck for updating laugh.gif

Good to know the info. Within one year of ownership, any map updating is free, but after that, I believe it is chargable at around RM70 per update, if not mistaken.

I went to PJ red cube for my 20KM service, i was 1hr late from my appointment, so i have to wait till technician available. Quick conclusion as sharing to my latest experience in PJ as my latest experience wasn't so pleasant.

First, due to i was late, so they need to do my car after lunch, i am ok for waiting, which they hand to me about 4.30pm, but manythings that i complain about my car was not attended. They just do basic service and hand the car in a rush, suspect they are going back about 5 plus or 6.

1)Bonet rubber have leaking problem when rain /car wash, makes the front part of by engine wet when i open the bonet.

2)Trunk lever at driver seat hard to pull, i pulled till the level that i scare i break it, i did not want to break it so i ask to see can they do anything (i did not aware until i use the lever as mostly i just directed press trunk button from back)

3)Starting engine i have the "clak clak" sound for 1-5sec, like bearing rotating, ask to check.

4)20K tyre rotation, as i notice one nail at the passenger tyre, asked to remove it.

Above all NOT even an answer after service. The SA that suppose to jot down on the sheet also didn't include it, waste my time explaining to her when i hand over my car mad.gif

Plus i ask to check why my eng ingition at times need 2-3 start, they check and said BATTERY LOW, need to replace. blink.gif i said i take good care of battery, no long period use of lights and so on, but just 1 year the battery is low and dieing???? WTF? As my batt passed the 1 year warranty by just 1 month, i need to fork out RM320 extra vmad.gif

Previously i did heard news about kia batt, now it's me that kena, DID KIA CONFIGURE THE BATT TO DIE AFTER 1 YEAR????? They said if i change outside i still need to RESET my system, normally they charge RM120 for a reset, i was like 120?? Just plugin and reset cost that much?? So above situation force me to change with KIA SC with the price of 320 (the 1 year batt brand is WATTA, now they use Century with warranty 6 months)

Finally after all the payment, got my car and went home only to find out they DID NOT DO a tyre ROTATION for my 20K service BUT charged in my bill for balancing and alignment. vmad.gif , I was quite mad to find out this, cause i do not think i need a balancing and alignment if wasn't for the purpose to rotate my tyre(RM80 for balancing and alignment, not cheap).

So for anyone who do normal change oil, and filter service, and opt for pj red cube, else if got complains, better find an authorised workshop with experience and the attitude to solve your problem.

BTW, NEW CAR OWNERS, PLEASE CHECK all the functions of the car, i mean ALL, play around for the 1st and 2nd day until u think all function works. Like my case the trunk lever wasn't working 100%, and my bonet front the rubber between bonet and front grille was not in warranty and no effort by service center to entertain these issues

Thanks for sharing as you've helped me learn. It's your consumer right to complain about sub par service. It's a service industry anyway.

official car service booklet stated if any case of non-function or dissatisfy, report to kia 24hrs from date u receive, else will not be entertain. So better check nicely, even on paint work as most people do not have too much time to check when getting their car fr sales person. my sales person back then gave a lousy service to not explain much on function(ask me read booklet) and kind of rush me take car and sign. (bully consumer as i not exp in buying new car procedure back then)

Done.
*
Thank you Mr KS Loh for your helpful tips. I've just replacing mine with new CR2032 battery after 1 year and 10 months of ownership.

If you mean "head lamp delay " , the answer is yes. In order to activate the "head lamp delay" you need to turn the control at TFT LCD Screen to "ON" . Then, set your head lamp to AUTO mode. When you stop the engine, your head lamp will still light up for about 30 seconds before it switch off automatically.

New K3 (2015) owner signing in.

Here's what I found out;
For the new 8" Infotainment unit, it cannot take in 32gb usb drive. I do not have 16gb, thus I couldn't check. 8gb formatted in FAT32 works perfectly.

For Bluetooth audio, first pair. Then make sure bluetooth media is enabled in your phone. Then click on Bluetooth on main screen, when you see a dial pad and your phone's name, do look under your phone's name, you'll see mobile media. Click on it and you can playback any songs from your mobile. Even Spotify.

Cheers!

There are some sound-proof kits available after market, which may help to enhance the NVH. However, the effects may be subtle and the difference may not be day and night.

Noise insulation strip at the doors is particularly very popular...
Some also fix a product called StuffFIT that reportly help to achieve a quieter cabin as picture below.... Check it out.

The first thing to understand about total noise proofing is that it can never be accomplished in a car. However the important thing is that you can reduce the amount of external noise, and vibrations. Sound travel by various ways. Example noise from a loud motorbike exhaust pipe. The frequency of the noise vibrate the metal skin of the car and travel into the cabin.

The way to reduce is to damp the noise created through vibration. So sound Proofing starts with some means of damping. A number of products are available for this, and they all have various degrees of effectiveness. The best results are always obtained from using a combination of these products. There are mats, sprays, foams, and insulation available from a number of manufacturers.

I saw this in Astro Awani. Check it out.

Kia service schedule start from 1,000 km or 1 month, 10,000 km or 6 month, 20,000 or 12 month and so on. It will be either the mileage or the month which ever come first. If you drive little then you should service your car according to month rather then mileage. The date of service should be calculated from the date of registration.
The 5 years unlimited mileage warranty also start from the date of registration.

Hope this info help.

*
ok, thanks.
thn i think the sales is giving me wrong info although i ask him twice...

meaning i need to service my car within 1 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months...and so on (every 6 months) in order to have the 5 years warranty, right?
he told me juz need to service the car when the mileage reach 1k, 10k, 20k...so on...because my usage is not much, only per year 8-10k

and i think for my case, i shd take the 3 years free service also right? any recommend?
without this, additional rm3k rebate..

If you read the term and condition in the service book you will find it stated " mileage/month which ever come first".

The option to choose either the 3 years free service or cash rebate are entirely a personal choice. For your information base on the current lubricant & parts price the cost of service is just only slightly more than Rm3k so there is no significant cost saving here. However there are some other advantage for either choices.

Choosing the 3 years / 60,000km free service.
If you opt for the 3 years free service the advantage is if there are any price increase in lubricant or parts during the first 3 years period it will have no bearing on you.

Choosing the RM3k cash rebate
The advantage of choosing the RM3k cash rebate is you can use in to minimize your loan amount. Benefits are reduce monthly installment and saving on loan interest in the long run.

Done.
*
The casing of the remote is quite fragile, be careful while opening it. The silver lining on the side of the remote is easily tear. Anyone know where can get a replacement of casing ? I wanted to buy one. Please pm me.

Please check at authorised service center. There is a 3 year or 50,000 Km warranty for suspension parts, which should include the absorber.

"Edited...oops sorry, mileage already 60K...no more warranty"

can someone advice should i get a cerato now or wait for facelift? as kia is having promotion of selling 91k for 1.6 right now, until this end of month according to the seller

the only thing i like about the facelift is the front grill, auto parking system and blind spot indicator, things i dun like is the rear lamp and front drl compare to current model.

advice pls?
*
The specs and prices for the new facelift for Malaysian market has yet to be announced, I am not sure where you get those info from. Please note that the specs you see in the internet may/will differ from what we will be getting here, upon market and price feasibility studies

Since the offer price for current model is pretty good, it is worth giving it a serious thought, don't you think? The new facelift, when it comes, will definately not get the same offer. That's just my personal opinion of course. All the best in your decision making.

HU changed...
Added headlight manual levelling switch
2 LEDs from each side of rear brake light (towards centre) converted to rear fog light (means the 4 LEDs won't on anymore when u hit brake..., personally i feel this is the poor implementation from Kia in order to save cost to add another set of light)

Any cerato owner got problem with abs and esc ? I just meet 1 direct owner but his car meter are showing yellow abs and esc indicator at the meter panel. Is it expensive to repair if the car out of warranty?

KIA cars today have very little mechanical problem. However being a modern car it have more programs and sensors. In this case the car was indicating that the abs and esc were not working properly and reminding the driver to get the car check which is good.
Most car just need a good calibration and some just have to get the effected sensor replaced or cleaned.

hello guys,
does anyone encountered the same situation as mine?

usually i set my aircond to 23C (single zone and non automatic fan speed), however intermittently will feel the air coolness level is uneven coming out from random vents. sometimes even warm air coming out. if the temp sets to 21c or lower, the air is chilling cold. does anyone encountered this problem before?

i tried to set to 23c this morning, the temp on left vent is higher compares to right. set to 21c and chilling on both sides. so i set to 24c and 23c to check the coolness, 24c feel cooler than 23c.

Thanks.

Is it worth to get pre owned 2013 cerato k3 1.6 for 60k direct owner? The car just about 30k km. How much would car dealer take the cerato 1.6 if trade in to them?

KIA cars today have very little mechanical problem. However being a modern car it have more programs and sensors. In this case the car was indicating that the abs and esc were not working properly and reminding the driver to get the car check which is good.
Most car just need a good calibration and some just have to get the effected sensor replaced or cleaned.

I could not agree with the statement where Kia vehicles have very little mechanical problem. most Cerato owners facing engine vibrate issue (2.0 caused by alternator pulley, 1.6 yet pending for solution since July 2013), driver seat vibration (screws not tighten within the seat assembly, seat spring net not fitted firmly, seat track gear loose etc etc), the air vent fin failed to adjust due to loose, dashboard rattling sound etc etc.......

To all owners, can the car audio play music from iPhone via Bluetooth?

Tried it with my friends cerato but only managed to get it paired for phone but no music came out when played. Same thing happened when i tried it on the latest Sorento last weekend.

Should be able to pair and play music. Did you first select MOBILE MEDIA on your APPS > BLUETOOTH > KEYPAD Most people forgot this important step. Also, don't forget to turn up the volume on your phone.

How many GB is your USB pendrive? If not mistaken, there is a limitation to it , maybe it is too big, hence it cannot read.

Hi, currently i'm driving 2014 Kia Cerato with fabric seat. I want to change it to leather since the Fabric is getting dirty. Can i know if I can change it in any service centre or do i have to go to shop? The glenmarie Kia service centre don't have such service. sad.gif
