is it advisable to leave the car without starting for a week? i'm scared to disconnect the battery lol

Hi. I have a crack on my windscreen thanks to a rock just now, where can i possibly fix it (with insurance) and is it ok if I delay the repair? As in fix it later when my schedule is free?

My first battery was exchanged last october since the service center noticed the voltage being low. And few days back had to change again coz they noticed it being weak again. Is that normal for our batteries to have such short lifespan?
