Very unlikely for Naza to introduce turbo engine for 1.6 K3 sedan facelift (if any in future) as that would increase the  cost significantly and priced it beyond what people are willing to pay for an everyday/general use C-segment car. The Koup however is different as it caters to a specific segment of performance car, call it Fast and Furious generation if you'd like.

Personally, and from a sales perspective, I 'd like to see Naza bringing in a different version of the Rio Sedan (also known as K2 in China). This B-segment model would then be able to compete head on with City and Vios for market share, if priced competitively.

Thats too bad sad.gif I'd personally would like to see Kia grow and perhaps more engine variants.
They are going the right way and lets see where the future holds for Kia.

A turbo saloon would put them right up the marque with the greats. Just my 2 cents.

I suppose it would be from an economics perspective and the Koup kinda reflects it. It is not intended as a mainstream product but likely to test the market both from a demand perspective and also the suitability of the engine in our environment.

Turbo cars can be quite hard to maintain and so is direct injection engines due to the carbon build up issues that come with it. I'd assume they want to see if the car can adapt to our environment and maybe only then in the future they will bring in a turbo model.

Having said that, with the level of support I've seen and parts price, I wouldn't buy a turbo equipped KIA. It's just one more potential area for problems to crop up, although most of it boils down to maintenance. Just my 2 cents on this biggrin.gif

Guys, anyone have experience tight shifting of AT from P to R? I noticed mine is very tight when shifting from P to R when my car is parked slightly decline/incline. Is this normal? hmm.gif

Put to N then pull handbrake, lastly put to P. This will let the handbrake hold your car instead of gear engage. This will prevent gear damage in long run. Pls try.

Old question:
Installing K&N drop in filter will void car warranty?

i went to kia showroom to ask about rebate

not so much rebate offered compare to ford

they told me kia KX3 stop selling already
*
this is because ford is mostly selling the 2014 make model, kia is selling 2015 model.
Kia kx have limited stock it still the most discount in Cerato variant.

I asked the same question recently. Basically some say yes, some say no. I think for KIA, just make sure you don't give them a reason to void your warranty, especially anything to do with the powertrain or related components, it's going to cost a bomb.
