Hey, the thing i dislike is the long queue at the customs... sometimes feel like going back to KL to meet my parents or friends but once i think that i have to wait for 1.5 hrs in the Singapore custom on Friday 7pm... i pull myself from going back to Malaysia.. Ppl there is lining up 2 rows for a custom door...lol..

Really hope that Singapore can be like Malaysia... juz show the passport to the lazy immigration officers sitting down there at the booth and you can pass-through easily... really save a lot of time especailly for us working which wanted to rush back to KL every week..

NO... u have to be smart... for those who have experience, go to the few custom booths almost to the right.. there are lesser ppl there... but be smart, before u line up see in ur row whether are there any foreigners which come from other countries (not m'sia), normally it will be faster if the row are all malaysians compare to the rows which have Aussies, Japanese, Koreans as they need to check on visa and so on...

BTW, if your row have someone that looks like Mat Selamat Kastari, don't line up lah despite less than 10 ppl.. biggrin.gif

the link below should help you.
http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=196&secid=195

If you are using WP, EP those, the access card is valid for 1 yr/ the duration of your pass. However if your are PR, the access card is valid for 3 years, more worth the money. Even for 1 yr i still think its worth of money.

Most of my friends who just graduate from local uni got the job in sg quite easily.
I heard private university/college fresh graduate will be harder to find a job there as sg govt don't recognize those certs.

Oh, that is interesting. May I know how your friends sourced their job from? Malaysia newspaper (TheStar, NST), Online or word-of-mouth?

you can try jobstreet or jobsdb.
the best should be sg Straits Times newspaper.
there are three recruitment sections (at least 50 pages) for saturday.

Work permit is $150 per month, Employment pass is $30 per year. If your company pay for you then its nice, if not then you have to pay the fee with your own money.
