If your EP is already pending approval you will have the FIN number . So you should be able to rent any room. If not you can tell the owner you will give the FIN number once your EP approve, i think should not be a problem

Pending approval = approve before medical checkup. Unless after medical checkup you have AIDS or TB then you will fail.

If you have confidence your EP will approve(normally), you can get a room first. Of course you will lose the deposit u pay if you din get the EP later.

The place you mention SGD350 will be minimum price for a room without air cond if you are lucky enough because it is quite near to town.

Just go to sg-house.com and www.efair to check out the price. You might be want find place far a bit.

Singapore more favor to jobsdb compare to jobstreet.
When I am looking for job, i got none reply from jobstreet and few interview request from jobsdb application.

there is a lot type of permit to work in sg. If you holding Employment pass or S pass, you can apply PR without any problem. If you holding work permit only, i think need meet certain criteria before you can apply PR or cannot apply. Not sure though

hmm, what is option trading? can msg me for more info? quite interest as well. haha

goolie, just try your luck but like aboe mention the IT salaries quite varies because there is too much competition in IT field from India, filipines, china, malaysia. so the salaries quite low compare finance and engineering fields.

Some can just get below sgd2k for 1-2 yrs exp. But since you are using c++, it should be abit higher. But i dun think you can reach 3k yet unless your resume and experience is very attractive.

I work in IT fields in sg as well. can msg me if u want know more details

yeah, another thing is you need to get working exp in singapore. I am not sure why since i notice not much different ( may be i work in MNC in msia and as well singapore, so not much diff)

As I notice, if your working exposure is good, after you been working sometime in singapore especially after you get your PR status. You will get call from those agencies asking your current status and latest resume automatically.

The advantage i think is you still get same pay with singapore graduate. tongue.gif
