how was the job market in s'pore..

i have sent about 20 applications so far but no reply.. sien...zzz

So now r u employed? What job u applied? Which company u work for?

AFAIK, it is very difficult to get into a MNC or big corporations in S'pore unless u applied for those small medium Chinaman companies.

Then they will say you are a job-hopper... not so nice lo.

That's right.. Don't even think to work in large corporations or MNCs in SG if you did not have a PR status unless you are prepare to work in chinaman firms whereby the bosses squeeze you like hell from day till night and pay you peanuts.

BTW, do you guys work in MNCs or reputable firms in SG on your very 1st job in S'pore or just working in those Pte Ltd firms?

I have look the jobstreet and found out all well-known companies are eligible for Singaporeans or PR to apply only. Sad....

If they scare Singaporeans could not find jobs, they should at least put "Priority for Singaporeans and SPR but Malaysians are welcomed"...

Damn silly la.. employers put this kind of restrictions.. No wonder i still could not warrant a face to face interview after submitting 20 applications.. SAD..

So do u think i still need to waste my time to apply for a job that specifically mentioned "Only Singaporeans and SPR could apply"..

I think it is time for us to work in sg... petrol price is RM4.00 in August...
U work here RM3K but pay RM4.00.... U work in SG S$3K but pay only S$2.20 per litre... plus u can save 2.3 times.

Time to go Singapore for a better lifestyle... Cheaper cost of living...

Hey, the thing i dislike is the long queue at the customs... sometimes feel like going back to KL to meet my parents or friends but once i think that i have to wait for 1.5 hrs in the Singapore custom on Friday 7pm... i pull myself from going back to Malaysia.. Ppl there is lining up 2 rows for a custom door...lol..

Really hope that Singapore can be like Malaysia... juz show the passport to the lazy immigration officers sitting down there at the booth and you can pass-through easily... really save a lot of time especailly for us working which wanted to rush back to KL every week..

What access card u r talking about? Izit the APEC card? Can pls share where and how to apply? 1 access card can use how long?

Hai, everyone... it's has been almost a month working in SG. SG is quite good actually but the thing I most dislike is I can't drive (no car to drive), not like working in KL... I can drive gals around yamca, go lepak after working hrs as and when I like..but here everyday is MRT, bus, MRT, bus......

I believe after working here for 4-5 yrs then when U wanna go back to KL, you will forget how to drive even though when you are once a super king road speeder...
