utorrent is less resource-intensive than the other bt clients, imho smile.gif

I moved from bitcomet to utorrent months ago and since then sticking to it.

The only thing is that I thought the cache check mechanism takes longer time compared to the other clients. What'd be u guys opinion?

May try the newly build WebUI. I've tested, and it is great ! rclxms.gif
Check your torrent remotely from outside.

I didn't crash at all with this client. Your freezing may cause by explorer.exe ? have to check it out lah ....

have so many features there, and low memory usage, max 20mb. Bitcomet go to 100MB.

But remember, don't adjust net.max_halfopen over than 8. smile.gif

I faced some serious problem with Utorrent , and it seems when everytime i run the Utorrent , my WRT54G would be stucked and i would unable to surf the web , but the transfer speed on my Utorrent wont be affected at all.

This problem would be solved if only i restart back my wireless router.

In their FAQ , they already stated that Utorrent has some issues with WRT54G and suggested to flash the firmware to latest version but neither was working for me sad.gif

But i love Utorrent for its simplicity and less resources intensive.

i heard the client programmers working on bypassing the throttling
is it really possible?

I have to say... despite the very good download speeds u can from Torrent, it does lack in features..

You see, like in Bitcomet, if you download something with a lot of episodes, so you only selected like say 2 files to download, then later u can download the rest bit by bit and its so easy, all you have to do is double click the torrent and select the files. The files that has already been downloaded when 'unselected' will just be deleted off just like that.

As for Torrent, its very difficult to do that. Cos you need to select 'dont download' for that particular part then need to 'force re-check' and all... damn... sad.gif

Yeah. But it's not that hard you just select the file on 'files' tabs then choose normal download.

nahh..the pros definitely outweights the cons..

if you want to delete the finished files, right click on the finished files in the "files" tab, and choose don't download.. then right click on the torrent file in the torrent list, choose "open containing folder" and delete whatever you want... sure its easier to do with bitcomet, but torrent takes up alot less space n resources..

Probably just a normal streamyx slowdown. These trackers are http, so you should get timed out pages also when you surf the internet.

The easiest way with the default utorrent configuration is to turn on UPnP on your router. To check, goto the logger tab in utorrent and see if the mapping is successful.

The harder way is to manually forward a port to the ip address of your pc in your router's setup. Yes, you would need a fixed ip for both cases. Either set the ip manually in your windows configuration or check what ip the router's dhcp has assigned you by looking in the support tab of your connection in windows.

Yeaps... I agree. Less resources and time taken. In fact I am still using version 1.5 which doesnt require you to install =)

btw I'm a bit skeptical... u see, when u use Bitcomet and delete off the downloaded files, you know for sure it is gone..

But when you delete something off windows manually.. i.e. via shift-delete,
does it really go off your hard disk? there are a lot of arguments about this thing... any windows pro out here ready to share?

are you using a router or modem?
you have to configure the portforward settings if you are using a router. smile.gif and remember to uncheck the 'UnPhP' box if you are using utorrent, it will connect faster and increase your speed.

if all fails, then it's ur connection problem[tmNuts] tongue.gif

utorrent's giving me damn weird problems.
I can't download from anything which has large peer and seed counts. And I can only download when I direct the downloads to the default downloads folder. Else it won't even budge.

Weird problems face, I always.

in utorrent window there is no list of the listening port, only the host or ip...

The speed is juz around 5 ~ 10 kbps.

limit your upload speed that can boost up your download only occur if your download is chock by upload
but your speed is too slow, it seen like not chock by upload
but 'chock' (throttle) by traffic shaping device

see is there any Malaysia IP in your peer list??
if not, then normal la tongue.gif

for 512kbps package u can try limit the upload speed to 16~20K, while for 1Mbps doubled the value

hye everyone, i'm using both (for testing) Torrent 1.600 and BitComet 0.75, i must say, Torrent much more faster than BitComet.while on BitComet i download same torrent file same size max i can get is like 100KBps while on Torrent is almost double the speed!!! yes...you guys sure wonder why mine is blazing speed, it could be at local peers, but i'm sure with Torrent, user can view the peer's IP flag...so my view is, very much like US flag tongue.gif but with max 15~25KBps

Before using a router, my torrent downloads at acceptable speeds.
After I've got my new computer and setting up a router for both my old and new ones, my torrent download speed decreased dramatically, on both computers. Download speeds rarely gets over 10kB/s and then the upload gets higher than the download and after a few hours all my torrents are red. I've figured out that the router is the problem so I search everywhere on the net for solutions but none prevailed. These are the portforwarding steps I took and please point my mistake out. I've turned of the Windows XP SP2 firewall and have no antivirus or other firewalls running (except for the router one, I turned it off and it's still the same).

mine too, but that exactly port forward thingy, but it's uPnP feature, port forward needs you to disable it, but when disable, the speed will not even increase or worst @0KBps, when enable, up to 150KBps tongue.gif, anyway...lately i felt something, i think TM.Net just capped my P2P...my download really slow... btw, if download speed affected, should be upload too right? but my upload still at same speed, pretty fast upload smile.gif

they also can see your ip and connect to you

if aledi done port forward, you are advise to disable the upnp port mapping

Shouldn't 1mBps be 2mBps ?

I recalled downloading (with accelerator) with the best of 240kb/s.
But can't get that too often though. sad.gif

Or maybe now TMnut thinks that 2mBps is too much and decide to lower it down to 1.5mBps. doh.gif

*
probably you didnt set the max ip connection to the max which is 4096 and lower the connection timeout? (default is 3600 which is 1 hour). your WRT54 probably stuck due to these factors.

So great ! ur package beed upgraded. My area haven't come in yet.
Tuotu cannot update manually tracker, for tuotu info, pls read the Tuotu Thread.
Try to download the newest version of Tuotu to recover speed drop afterwards.
Regarding to ur ZTE modem. Telnet 192.168.1.1, type in ur default user&pass,
type 'modify nbsize maxipsess 512'
type 'commit'
type 'reboot'

see wat difference, if still the same, use manual connect.

I think P2P will not back due to copyrights & privacy issues. Perhaps it back to normal.

if you the seed health is more than 100%, but you still cant get the 100% data
then try the below way, althought it is from bitcomet...
QUOTE
A torrent is stuck at 99.x% and still downloading (rubbish data), why won't it finish?

This doesn't always happen at 99.9%, it happens when it has all but the last piece. Piece sizes can vary from 32KB to 2MB, so depending on the total size of the torrent it may be on much less than 99.9% when it's time to download the last piece.

This problem is usually caused by some NAT Routers corrupting the data and affects most, if not all, BitTorrent clients. Make sure you're using the latest firmware (check your manufacturer's website for official firmware and installation instructions). People who get this problem usually get it on nearly every torrent.

If you leave the torrent running long enough it'll probably finish, but it could take a long time and use a lot of download quota. But if you're not willing to wait or want a more permanent solution, stop your torrent and try the following...

Possible Solution #1:

Click Options > Preferences > Advanced > Connection and change "Maximum Connections per task" & "Connections to keep per task" to 1, then resume the torrent.

How this works... To keep the speed up right to the end of the torrent, once requests for all the required pieces are pending, BitTorrent requests them all from everyone that it's downloading from. It then sends cancel requests to everyone else each time one of the pieces arrives. So by lowering the connected peers to 1 it may stop the piece coming in from several peers at the same time and getting mangled by the router and/or BitTorrent/BitComet.

Possible Solution #2:

Select the torrent task in BitComet then click the Files section (bottom left in the main window). If it contains any of the following file types, right click them and select Priority > Disabled:
desktop.ini
thumbs.db

Next right click the torrent task and select Manual Hash Check - this will check the data for errors. Then resume your download and hopefully it will finish.

This may fix it because these files are hidden system files that are specific to each system, so if somebody mistakenly included them in the torrent there will be a constant file overwriting battle between BitComet and windows.

Possible Solution #3:

Make sure the following is disabled in your router:
DMZ Mode (where all packets are forwarded a single machine by default)
Game Mode (very few routers support this function, so you probably won't be able to find this option)

If DMZ was configured and has now been disabled, you'll need to set up static port forwarding (instructions here).

Possible Solution #4:

Disable/bypass your routers NAT and connect directly to the internet - so you can download the last piece of data without your NAT messing it up. Consult your routers user guide on how to do this.
-----

Still hasn't fixed it? It may be time to buy a new router.

since day 1, since installation of streamyx, but not all day at that speed though, sometimes i do get 20KBps and below maybe due to poor quality of torrent, so, i just download a new *.torrent, and see the speed, if there's a improvement, i'll stick to it, if not, i just delete it and download new one wink.gif...

same the way you install nVIDIA nForce, from there, it'll ask you which one you want to setup, just untick/uncheck the nVIDIA FireWall

Torrent and BitTorrent Join Forces
QUOTE
+++++

This is Bram Cohen, the creator of the BitTorrent protocol, and Ludvig (Ludde) Strigeus, the writer of Torrent.

Together, we are pleased to announce that BitTorrent, Inc. and Torrent AB have decided to join forces. BitTorrent has acquired Torrent as it recognized the merits of Torrent's exceptionally well-written codebase and robust user community. Bringing together Torrent's efficient implementation and compelling UI with BitTorrent's expertise in networking protocols will significantly benefit the community with what we envision will be the best BitTorrent client.

What does this mean for the Torrent community? Not much, at least not at first. The intention is to maintain the website as it is, and keep the forums and community active. Moving forward behind the scenes, we will continue to develop Torrent and will be using the codebase in other applications, especially ones where a fast, lightweight implementation is more suitable, such as embedded systems on TVs, cell phones, and other non-PC platforms.

The existent Torrent and BitTorrent communities are immensely valuable to us, which is why we are announcing this here first to make sure you're all the first to know about the news. The plan is to continue to foster the health and growth of the community that has been critical to the success of Torrent. Thank you in advance for your support.

Bram and Ludde

I changed from bitcomet to utorrent. Surprisingly seeing faster 10x. Bitcomet I download only around 5kB/s, while on utorrent will be around 50kB/s. shocking.gif

But once I letting my utorrent run, my I.E, MSN, Firefox all very slow. What is the best advice to limit the download speed for every client?

usually BitComet will rename it's file to *.bc (unfinished/not-yet finished) download, well, you can delete this *.bc (last 2 character) to make it to original filename, and at Torrent, you set the downloaded/downloading file to that (the file you downloaded with BitComet) directory...hope you get what i mean, doh.gif, just got out of bed tongue.gif

that's because Torrent eating up all your bandwidth tongue.gif, well, me myself too don't know how-to resolve it, but everytime i'm on torrent, i just let the PC torrenting, means, i'm not surfing, maybe playing single player games?...tongue.gif

I second this. I switched from Azureus to Utorrent. With Azureus it sucks all the RAM and slows down my machine tremendously. Never regreted making the change.

I've been using Torrent + FF + TB for quite some time and it have been no problem at all about them. Then, I updated to FF2.0 and it was still no problem. Last week, I performed a windows update using Autopatcher and since then, whenever Torrent is started, I couldn't load my FF and TB. When I try to load them, I will see my mouse on "busy" mode before changing to idle mode and nothing happen after that. When I access the task manager, I can see that these software are loaded into the memory, but the fact is that they are not loaded for me to use rclxub.gif Hope you guys get what I mean.

I've tried to reinstall Torrent but no good news from it. Is there anything that I could do solve this problem? If not, I may head back to BitComet as my bt client sad.gif

Thanks for your attention notworthy.gif

if the task you are downloading got many file inside
then you are advise to download them all in a time
dun select to download 1 by 1

coz once you have done file A and want to continue file B
after hash-check, file A will be corrupted...

i experience it in BitComet

8k or 8,000k??

i open notepad only without any word inside aledi used 5,080k

maybe we use the different unit
for me, the 8,000k = 8MB usage

I believe you are throttled.

You can try proxying up. It's not free but we have 1 or 2 forumers who are providing such a service. Well, just one, the other is in beta.

Virtual's VPN service: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/377044 (RM30/30days)

Duock's beta VPN: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/383630 (currently full, keep in view)

And if you have time to do some casual reading: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/345583 (discussion on how to bypass throttling)

Drop on by the Networks + Broadbands subforum, we got lots of threads you can read up on. laugh.gif

i am using also the 512kbps package...
i usually set my upload speed to 20 or 25Kbps max.....so in this way way...u still can download max 50Kpbs to 60kpbs max..

Maybe u can try BitComet 0.70 version....it really damn bloody good in "immediate" maximum downloading!!!

Question: Can I switch my unfinished download from other client (BitComet) to uTorrent to finish up the download?

Story: I'd been using uTorrent without problem until after I updated my windows, uTorrent started to cause problem (blocking my Firefox and Thunderbird). Since I couldn't get a solution for that, I installed another client (BitComet) for my casual download. But after using it for a week or so, I found out that this client ate up a lot of memory and I would like to switch back to uTorrent, but unfortunately, I still have a big-size download not yet done in BitComet.

so, you think the port can affect the download speed???

there is nothing like that
as long as you are not chosen a buggy port and the port that you have used in other application
then it wont affect your download and upload speed!!!

you are advise to use any 5 digit port becoz they usually didnt used by other application
thats all only
and dun use the port 6881-6999

IS there any way to tweak the speed?
I'm using 512kbps. I thought using this will be better than FlashGet.
Now seems like no difference.

edited: I set my upload speed to 35kbps. But stll 0. No wonder download so slow.
How to fix it? Need to open port or anything? I dont know what to alter now.

i juz know bridging mode didnt need to do port forward and upnp port mapping coz didnt need to

when i use my BitComet v0.80, after i port forward my listening port then i try enable UPnP port mapping
after enable it, i check back the NAT rule where i did the portforward, the settings have change!!
that mean it can be work!!

i think as long as the modem support upnp, then it should be no problem

i think it juz depend on the modem model only

It's bad enough that TMNut is throttling BTs. A few days ago, i started having problems with utorrent. Sometimes, all the trackers go into timed-out status. I'd have to restart utorrent and it'll be fine. Also, i cannot connect to seeders (i can connect to peers fine) even though it's an active torrent with 6K over seeders. Anyone knows how to fix this?

been experiencing the same thing also.

Now switch to obfuscated edonkey all-time. Basically useless putting on torrent anymore.

deng
didnt need to promote that software anymore la
limited range of file download

and for the jacklsw86, of coz the answer is "Yes"
else we can bypass the throttle by select "Always" in Protocol Encryption option only...
they use Deep Packet Inspection that can check through all the 7 layer of the packet...
including RC4 encryption...

I don't think utorrent is the best one.

'cause torrenting will only faster when there are local seeds and peers.

more people say torrent is the best becoz there is more Malaysian using it
since that it is lightweight application...

used bitcomet first before switch to utorrent. Problems usually happened on bitcomet are high memory usage, sometimes can go up 100+mb and the most annoying is sudden crash after continuous usage. (before 0.60 version)
for utorrent doesn't have that problem 24/7, and low memory usage too. by far in my bt world experience is the best for me.
now after throttling, both are dead to me..currently used rabbit version

previously used BC also but jz switched to T recently..wanna switch last time but T seems doesnt want to run but luckily it runs at last biggrin.gif and also done the port forwarding..after port forward at both BC and T, T speeds attracts me more on using it..not bcoz of its low memory usage thumbup.gif

Guys, how do I know what country the uploader is in if the country icon does not show up? I just want to know whether its a local or international uploader.

And does the "%" label shows how much has that person downloaded? Because sometimes even though I've downloaded 80% of the file, I can still see myself downloading from someone who has just downloaded 30% of the file. shocking.gif

In BitTorrent, everyone doesn't download pieces of a file accordingly. Instead, it depends on the peers you're connected to and your client will download what's available among them. So, it's something random. That's why even though you're 80% done, you might not have some pieces that the 30% has. Therefore, your client will download from him. Hope it helps. Thanks. smile.gif

the problem is you are using "bridging mode" to online
didnt need to do UPnP port mapping, even port forward
Max download 10kBps only is largely due to not enough local peer only
no problem for the bt client

it mean that your bt client (Torrent) got maybe took most of the bandwidth
try these 1 by 1:
1.) limit upload and download speed
2.) lower the limit of Global maximum number of connection
3.) disable DHT

if still cannot, then is your modem/router is old model??

well, it was ok for the first month I'm using torrent.
It only acting weirdly since last week. If not mistaken, it acts weirdly after the taiwan earthquake.

Will try Bitcomet and compare.

I did changed torrent setting and it stayed the same.

Update : It fine with bitcomet 0.81. Must be something wrong with torrent.

i am using utorrent and i can connect to international peers but i can't get a decent speed. all ports are forwarded accordingly in my router but i can't even get 10k for my download speed. Is this due to throttling or due to the quake in taiwan?

I am also facing frequent disconnection from my msn messenger and i can't connect to rizon.net on irc as well. I think this is due to the broken submarine lines but then again it could be due to extreme throttling sad.gif

any opinions? Thanks.

Streamyx is not letting anyone download at the moment until the cables are fixed. This could take probably....about a year. Since Streamyx is slow most of the time.

if you want to discuss this issue
you may go to ask in Network board

Well, been using uTorrent, before that, bitcomet. neway, i got decent speed for my uTorrent, (b4 taiwan cable problem) can go up to 100 kbps-150 kbps (d/lin hentai sure has lots of peer xP). but now, can go upto 40-50 kbps providin im connected to better ip 60.xxx.xxx.xx, but bad http d/l speed, while when i in 218.xxx.xxx.xx, my torrent will pummel, while my http has some improvement, while in the other hand, 219.xxx.xxx.xx i can get really fast http d/l (reachin almost 200kbps, but then my d/l done d/lin before it could reach there, increasin slowly from 100kbps) but 0kbps for torrent.
ohya, im on streamyx (they claim they upgraded to 1.5 mbps i think, since i check it on my router say its 1512/512 down/upload speed)

So i dun have really much complain bout the speed, just connect n reconnect my streamyx so i can get better ip for better connectivity.

I don't think it will take a year since many business and industry rely on the internet to do business. If the problem is not rectify soon malaysia's image will be tarnished since the best ISP in malaysia is not reliable.

the return message you are refering to is the web browser that pops up when the port forwarding test is done right?

If you are refering to the message in the web browser then you might want to wait for a while and run the port forwarding test again. It will eventually be OK.

If this does not work try reseting your router and run the port test again. I sometimes face this problem when i change my port. It takes a while before they regconize the new port. I hope this helps.

Tracker status working. But connection is really bad. 1-10kbs per second since 10am. But last night (Until 3am) i got to about 60kbs.

try restarting utorrent. Sometimes if no connection it works for me.

thats probably because of the undersea cables problem..

guys.. i don't know why its like this, but my torrents seem to download faster when i'm uploading more.. means that the dl speed will increase when i'm upping.. i tried to limit my uploads to 10kbps once.. and my down speed came down.. but when i turned the limit off, the speed went up for both up n down.. anybody else experience this?

Not just that..the whole thing, what is Bittorent? how does it works? Who created it? The basic knowledge of Bittorent..how to do portforward? How to achieve max speed? What to do with error? Whats the terms mean? and stuff..its the basic thingy someone should learn before using Bittorent to download stuff..

ok so which is it?.. coz Akapane says thats the way torrent works.. the more you upload, the more you are allowed to download. But if you think about this, which party is controlling the speed? It will be either application controlled or tracker controlled. The tracker is literally used for tracking, as its name sake. Does it monitor and control peer's downloading and uploading speed? So if its not the tracker, then its the client software? If thats the case, why would we want to use a software that limits our connection speeds to other peers? There must be a software out there that are restriction free, right? rclxub.gif

Torrent gurus out there, please help.

1st, you have to know that the speed is also control by your line
that mean 512k is impossible to go more than 64kBps

then, go to below website

I heard our ISP can control the bandwidth if they detect your packets are related to bittorent.

The solution is to encrypt your bittorent packets.

Check out this link on how to solve this problem. I've tried it and it works.

Might be the file association problem? Try save the *.torrent file to desktop, and open it by Torrent client.

You've set it to proxy, but this proxy may block BT connections.

I'm using 3com wifi router. Anyone knows what is the port number to use in uTorrent for 3com routers? My downloads don't seem to start at all.

i can say nothing... sweat.gif
coz i also face the same problem...
very very hard to connect to peer...

my answer will be
try another bt client...

now my pc got BitComet, Torrent, and Tuotu
but i havent try Torrent and Tuotu for the task i cant download...
i think i still need other bt client as backup...

now trying the Torrent...
if Torrent also cant
then no hope, except find someone can do VPN for me (but that also need to pay... doh.gif )

EDIT: same as my BitComet, it run
but with 1 local peer and with very low speed
Torrent cant let me get other peer...

Brother, your port number must be the same as the one in your utorrent. Is it the same or not?

if you have torrent in queue, you can use "force start" to force it to download (even though it is still in queue and shouldn't be dl-ing)

Hi guys...just wanted to ask
uTorrent version is 1.6.

I'm currently download a torrent which is 16GB. Currently completed 7.67GB but i notice something..at the General Tab...It says Wasted: 75MB(1 Hashfails)

I googled already and some said it might be because the file is corrupted or something.

Anyone else experiencing it? It is okay? Thanks

There has a thread to overcome this problem, but NOT to improve the speed of downloading.

Your problem may indicates that ur proxy is blocked the BT protocol.

Have anyone experience before you can't access websites using internet explorer or firefox after running utorrent.

I've been getting this problem recently everytime after running utorrent.

The utorrent download speed also became slower.

I've updated windows XP and antivirus but this problem still happened.

Anyone care to give solutions for this problem?

Thanks in advance.

yeah, same here wave.gif, after torrenting, it'll become slower - my advice is, at least, you're gonna need to restart your modem/router icon_idea.gif, this is due (i think), heavy traffic i guess - but i don't know if it's different situation with other modem/router?

Torrent progress..

QUOTE
Current progress for 1.7 (there should be a public beta in 1-2 months):

- Feature: local peer discovery
- Feature: https support for rss feeds
- Feature: http seeding http://www.getright.com/seedtorrent.html (single-file only)
- Feature: improved UPnP discovery

- Fix: fixed SOCKS5 version bug
- Fix: don't warn about invalid ints in the preferences if the control is disabled

This is stuff that has been already DONE. It's not a todo.

laugh.gif then you're done on router, now move to software part...say, you're running Torrent, so go to settings and set port same as your open port on your router, actually, you're going to do it same time, open up router web configuration as well Torrent, and set the port there...

it happened on all torrent in my list from various trackers. from mytorrenthopto to japanese anime tracker.

if i use technique to fix "Connection reset by peer" , it can connect successfully..

oh ya, my torrent doesnt need "connection reset by peer" fix before this. can torrent normally until yesterday. anyway, i just changed my router recently. that's why i wanna know what port do utorrent use to connect to tracker.

i ask so many ppl and almost all of them also say maybe is the modem problem... but i just subcribe the streamyx 2 months ago and the modem is HUAWEI brand (I never heard before). if the problem really cause by the modem, looks like streamyx really is a money sucker, expensive 1mb package+cheapest modem. streamyx sux...

if i really need to buy a modem, izit D-Link is a good consideration?

Copy all the unfinished file to new destination. Find your old torrent file, then double click the file. When the dialog box appear, select the new destination. uTorrent will detect the old unfinished file and continue from where it stop.

upload speed is the speed you upload the downloaded file
BitTorrent download is not like http download
you must download, and at the same time, upload in BitTorrent
but http download didnt need you upload that downloaded file

To all utorrent supporter here... thumbup.gif

I am newbies to here.... want to ask a question.... tongue.gif

My default download speeds is about 20-50kbps.... and I never did port forwarding cause the router (D-Link DSL-2540T) is not mine....and I share the streamyx service with my houser-mate... and i have made the agreement to use torrent downloading with him already...

2 days ago... i accidentally unplug the network cable of my computer (at that time the dl speed is about 40kbps... ) , after I replug it again.... utorrent seems to take a very long time to recover to it's regular speed.... and the following error alway show "Disconnect:Peer error:offline (timeout)" during the peer connection

now already 48 hours pass... each of my torrent just manage to connect 2 to 3 peers only...some even dont have... this was really differ to previous situation where each torrent manage to get around 10 to 20 peers and the speed is 5-10kbps per torrent..... cry.gif

I didn't make any critical changes to the program setting also....

What could be the possible reason that cause this ?? except my house-mate is blocking the torrent service.... sweat.gif

and what are the steps should I take ??

Thanks ya for viewing and give suggestions !!!

what I meant is these ..

user posted image The green light means all is OK and downloads are at their best.
user posted image The yellow light means that you have no current incoming connections. Should do port forwarding. It's downloading but not at best speed.
user posted image I suppose it wasn't this one at all

Hopefully this meant something icon_rolleyes.gif

you mean you juz connected with 72 seeder and 65 leecher ONLY??
i cant even have connected more than 200 peer before throttle even that task got more than 2000 peer
there is always a limit for a peer you connected
even you have make the "peer connect limit" to unlimited
but due to our bandwidth limit, there sure will have a limitation

Sorry ar if disturb you guys. I'm a bitorrent newbie and I wanna ask a newbie question. My download speed av is around 25-35kbps (only downloading one torrent at the moment). So, what I wanna ask is, if I open another torrent to download something else, will it affect my download speed?

Last time I use Azureus to download the same series, it took me 5 days just to reach 60% and now using uTorrent, in two days I've reached 60% liao.

Thing is, in the former torrent client, I've been downloading 2 torrents at the same time. So I was wondering is it'll affect my d/load speed if I d/load another torrent.

(>_<)

I think what he meant was Peers: 72 (2980). I think it is standard laa to have that amount of peer. Port forwarding? Refer to my post #487, does any of those icons look familiar to you? If you have the green one, you don't need to do port forwarding as it already does. Yellow one need to do port forwarding smile.gif
