hye everyone, i'm using both (for testing) µTorrent 1.600 and BitComet 0.75, i must say, µTorrent much more faster than BitComet.while on BitComet i download same torrent file same size max i can get is like 100KBps while on µTorrent is almost double the speed!!! yes...you guys sure wonder why mine is blazing speed, it could be at local peers, but i'm sure with µTorrent, user can view the peer's IP flag...so my view is, very much like US flag

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Nov 19 2006, 05:49 AM) something weird mine too, but that exactly port forward thingy, but it's uPnP feature, port forward needs you to disable it, but when disable, the speed will not even increase or worst @0KBps, when enable, up to 150KBps done the correct port forwarding i get <10kb but make uncorrect port forward setting i get <50kb weird weird |

QUOTE(MaGNiFiCo @ Dec 5 2006, 02:51 PM) same with my friends.. it happens to him too. but he enjoy the speed only around 2 weeks like that. but after that back to normal. how long have you get that speed? since day 1, since installation of streamyx, but not all day at that speed though, sometimes i do get 20KBps and below maybe due to poor quality of torrent, so, i just download a new *.torrent, and see the speed, if there's a improvement, i'll stick to it, if not, i just delete it and download new one i think this throttle maybe affect on certain area only la.. some of you guys has normal speed rite?..now my downld speed only around 20-30kb/s (1mb package) |

QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Dec 8 2006, 09:37 PM) I would like to ask. If I am now using Bitcomet downloading, and now I planning to change to utorrent. How I am going to continue downloading my file? FYI, the download folder I put in another drive which is F drive. Pls help usually BitComet will rename it's file to *.bc (unfinished/not-yet finished) download, well, you can delete this *.bc (last 2 character) to make it to original filename, and at µTorrent, you set the downloaded/downloading file to that (the file you downloaded with BitComet) directory...hope you get what i mean, QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Dec 9 2006, 03:36 AM) I changed from bitcomet to utorrent. Surprisingly seeing faster 10x. Bitcomet I download only around 5kB/s, while on utorrent will be around 50kB/s. that's because µTorrent eating up all your bandwidth But once I letting my utorrent run, my I.E, MSN, Firefox all very slow. What is the best advice to limit the download speed for every client? |
