I've tried to reinstall µTorrent but no good news from it. Is there anything that I could do solve this problem? If not, I may head back to BitComet as my bt client
Thanks for your attention

I've been using µTorrent + FF + TB for quite some time and it have been no problem at all about them. Then, I updated to FF2.0 and it was still no problem. Last week, I performed a windows update using Autopatcher and since then, whenever µTorrent is started, I couldn't load my FF and TB. When I try to load them, I will see my mouse on "busy" mode before changing to idle mode and nothing happen after that. When I access the task manager, I can see that these software are loaded into the memory, but the fact is that they are not loaded for me to use

Yes, TB = ThunderBird. I also never experience such troubles until I updated the windows. So, is there anybody else who has updated the windows and face the same as I do?

QUOTE(Kclee2002 @ Dec 17 2006, 08:17 AM) I've been a long running utorrent user here, until recently, utorrent started to lag! It starts taking up processor usage. I'm not sure what causes it, but when i download some torrents, it'll lag. Anyone know why? I think I'm experiencing the same problem with you. Did you update your windows before? I updated my windows and this problem started since then. My Firefox and ThunderBird won't start when uTorrent is up. |

Question: Can I switch my unfinished download from other client (BitComet) to uTorrent to finish up the download?
Story: I'd been using uTorrent without problem until after I updated my windows, uTorrent started to cause problem (blocking my Firefox and Thunderbird). Since I couldn't get a solution for that, I installed another client (BitComet) for my casual download. But after using it for a week or so, I found out that this client ate up a lot of memory and I would like to switch back to uTorrent, but unfortunately, I still have a big-size download not yet done in BitComet. |

![]() Does the red box means I got a lot known peers but only 1 is connected? This post has been edited by kimhoong: Apr 26 2007, 02:00 PM |

QUOTE(Akapane @ Apr 26 2007, 03:15 PM) Look at the speed you're getting.. 3 connected peers and already 25kB/s thats a lot. I max my download speed of 150kB/s only connected to less than 15 connected peers. It doesn't matter how many connected peers, its the speed of each one of the peers makes a different. I'm connecting to the Internet directly through my PC before distributing to another 2 PCs at home because I know the router cannot handle it. BTW, I'm subscribing the Streamyx 1MBps package. After all you don't think that your router can handle gazillion connection do you? I understand the meaning of good quality seed... but yet, we cannot rely only on a seed to download, right? Is that because of our Streamyx's throttling for having a lot of peers but little are connected? |
