Lift weights to grow, cardio to burn fat. Combine both to hopefully get the best of both. You must also have rest days if you intend to grow, coz I assure you you will shrink if you have no rest.

If you just want to pack on 5-10lbs and don't have a regular workout, why not just start with the simple stuff which require no equipment. Pullups, pushups, weightless squats, jump squats, crunches, situps, the bodyweight stuff. If that doesn't do it for you, go to a gym, you don't need to go 4-7 times a week, 3 times a week with a good workout routine and good diet will get you your weight.

Most of the time .. I have been working from morning till midnight .. 6 days a week .. I guess I don't really have time to workout. Traveling to and back from walk .. on foot is that consider exercising as well ? At least 20 minutes a day. happy.gif

There is no ideal weight for any person of any height. It's all up to what weight and shape you want to be or need to perform better in whatever sport or physical activity you take part in.

Make time, 15-20 minutes of weight training can affect a significant change. Try working out at home, doing the free bodyweight stuff that I mentioned in my prior post.

hi there. just so u know, i am 5'6 n 45kg, which is very unhealthy and underweight. I've tried to workout, wiegh-liftung, situps but it has all come in vain. I eat a lot, but my weight never seems to be gained. Even every of my family member is the the kind of type of easy-to-gain-weight.

And by the end of year I am going to turn 20. My weight did not gain at all when I was 15. This is really desperate for me. I looked so ugly ;(

for now I just skip my breakfast. As for my lunch, the meal could be erratic, but mostly chinese foods like noodle etc. While I am having rice for my dinner regularly, and the dishes usually include fish, vege, chicken. I don't know if rice is useful for putting on wieght, plus I am not really a big fan of rice. Also I used to have a lot of junk food and snacks. These kind of diet has kept me company since I was young.

As for training programm, I don't really work out for quite a time because I found it is not working for me. Could it be the faster metabolism rate that hinders me from gaining weight?

Greetings,
HmmM .. dont you think working out more often .. will affect my body from gaining weight ? My scenario is almost similiar with Vanishing cant really gain weight .. but maybe I would say that the diet might not work out properly with the right food pyramid scheme.

I agreed that we should not skip breakfast .. I came across some of the meal preparation recipe from a magazine. Maybe later tonight I will post it up here for you guyz to have a look at it. icon_rolleyes.gif
