1st, is your area using TM or Maxis infra, easy way to check is if the router is connected to LAN2 of the ONT, its TM infra
It's a known secret TM caps other ISPs riding on their infra slightly lower to make you feel the other isps are bad

Or, the other possible problem could be your LAN port? Check and make sure it is gigabit port and not 100Mbps port

2. My plan doesnt come with this so no idea
*
1. Riding on TM infra .. switch from Unifi to Maxis
2. They provide Huawei LG8245X6 router and Huawei HG8240H5 modem. So should be using 1000mbps port

Hi I just installed Maxis Fibre 100mbps.

Just want to check on the following item:

1. I'm getting 94mbps / 45mbps when I connect thru Lan cable for 100mbps. Is this acceptable speed for 100mbps? My expectation is getting 100mbps for what I paid for.

2. My Maxis Fibre doesn't come up backup Maxis 4G simcard ... I ask the installer he told me need to go Maxis to get the backup sim. Is he telling me the correct info?

Thanks in advance for the reply.

4g backup only available if you combine fibre with postpaid line.

+-5% speed difference is acceptable. Most important is the service is stable and no frequent outage

1. then as expected, TM will cap you, a Maxis user, slightly lower to make you think TM Unifi is better
2. yeah but do make sure your pc/laptop has a 1000Mbps port

The speeds you get for Maxis Fibre/Unifi/Astro Fibre's 100Mbps plans are asymmetrical, meaning you'll be getting 100Mbps download and 50Mbps upload.
You won't get the same symmetrical 100Mbps speeds for both download and upload. That's just how it is.

My Maxis Fibre doesn't come up backup Maxis 4G simcard ...
Not all Maxis Fibre plans comes with backup 4G SIM card, and installers that came to your house are just doing their work according to job order.
Anything other than that, they'll expect you to settle with the customer service or walk in to service centre.

So if the installer didn't get any backup 4G SIM card for your order, that means don't have lor.

HSBB-based fibre plans are assymetrical.
TIME is symetrical.
Not sure about ALLO-based.

When fibre technician came, he only installed fibre-related.
When I enquired of the missing 4G dongle, he said the backup dongle and SIM are to be delivered later and separately. Which he actually attempted to a week later (he called me to arrange another site visit). BUT, ...

Anyway, I received a pre-fibre installation's wireless broadband service a month prior (while waiting for fibre application, port, service address, etc etc to be processed); the related devices must be returned to Centre upon installing fibre, and related wireless broadband services cancelled (else will be charged as being subscribed to and charged for both fibre and wireless broadband).
When I enquired the custcare at Centre, he said it is correct that the 4G backup is delivered separately after fibre installation. BUT, since I am returning the pre-fibre installation's wireless broadband set, which also included a 4G dongle, he told me to just take and reuse the dongle and he issued a new SIM for the 4G backup.

.... so when the fibre technician attempted to deliver 4G dongle a week later, I just told him what transpired at Centre and confirm that he no longer need to drive all the way to site.

Hi Guys, I just signed up for maxis fibre 300Mbps plan. Understand by default, maxis will give private IP. May I know what is the process to request for public IP and any requirements that we must fulfill?
Thanks.
