QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ Feb 9 2023, 08:21 PM) What is RM10 more per month these days? Can't even buy you a decent restaurant meal. I've been using Maxis Fibre for more than 5 years no plans to touch or upgrade. Contract looong over and had my public IP account activated during 1st year of use. But I noticed degradation to their service lately. Overseas connection slowing down especially to Europe/USA, latency increasing even to local servers and peering partners they started to peer with TMNet and Tata which is not as good as the GTT and Level 3 partners they had last time. Just feels bad paying extra RM120 a year for something that's been free since the first year I used Maxis, I went from the promotion 100mbps to 300mbps and converted to family plan so Im paying quite a bit. Am kinda annoyed they couldn't exclude this from loyal customers.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Feb 8 2023, 09:08 PM) I'm not IPv6-savvy, but what I understand, each IPv6 address is unique for each device, thoughout the planet. If not for firewall rules blocking traffic, I can access your device through its IPv6 address. Any guide to use ipv6 for remote access? Saw one of those tunnel broker videos but never figured out how to use it

Anyone know if maxis are still only giving a single /64 for ipv6?
Heck, anyone know what the PD blocks for ISPs in malaysia are? Because /64 is terrible since you can't have more then 1 subnet... without breaking a lot of assumptions devices have. (Like SLAAC apparently)

When it come to Special Offer...there is no ISP except TM that can give crazy deal...their lowest offer rn is 100Mbps(free 6 month bill) for just RM119/month...provide that u not have problem with TM routing..just use for FB, YouTube, Netflix..i heard Maxis best for game & cloud storage service & not slow imgur image..
This how it look...
TM offers: RM119 × 18 = RM2,142 RM2,142 ÷ 24 = RM89.25/month
Maxis offers:
RM99 × 12 =RM1,188 RM129 ×12 =RM1,548 RM1,188 + RM1,548 =RM2,736 RM2,736 ÷ 24 =RM114/month
OR
Maxis TR Offers: RM129 × 18 =RM2,322 RM2,322 ÷ 24 =RM96.75/month

Of course lah, since they own the Infra With that said I've been offered special promo plans before since I'm in an area where Maxis deploys it's own fibre "From" RM49 for 30Mbps + Hotlink Postpaid 40 sim RM89 for 100Mbps + 2x Hotlink Postpaid 40 12 month contract, price not guaranteed after 12 months Unfortunately though they wanted me to terminate and resign up to get these plans, too much of a hastle

But cgnat though nope the 119 free months 100 mbps was to offered my parents unifi users since their contract just expired. But since their usage is low I tell them better wait for 69 for more savings

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Feb 15 2023, 10:55 AM) Have you tried cloudflare tunnel? Good enough for your use? Nope but ever since I requested for public IP but I never really use it. So, I guess I'm OK to live with private IP... I hope my IoT stuff will work well. Do I need to do anything to my router? I guess just a call to CS later and say wanna switch back to private IP then they reset at their end?

Mostly on their end If your iot stuff/ip camera are cloud based should be no problem Cloudflare’s free, just need to get domain, arm board (rpi zero or equivalent) to run it 24/7 and you’re up » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
