What about TVB dramas ?

anyone can please recommend router for maxis home fibre, prefer with ready to use firmware, and 802.11ac.

Currently use TP-Link 1043ND with OpenWRT; performance is rock solid, but i think it is going to give way due to ageing, almost 5 years old.

Any maxis Home fiber user at bukit mertajam? Got call from them ask me to switch from vip5 to 10mb maxis. Is the line reliable at BM?

received call from maxis on last Sat, offer me home fibre 10mbps upgrade to 20mbps for only +RM10/month.
Just got the new speed this morning. From now on paying RM158/20mbps.
They said only offer for selected royal customer. I already using it 23 months. Now renewed 24 months contract. So far so good.
T&C is I still can upgrade or downgrade within this period.

maybe they depends on payment history? and I don't use maxis postpaid...only maxis fibre.
wait and see, who know maybe later they come revise new price or speed next month, then I will regret...hehe

Try cancel the fiber subscription and see whether they will counter offer with free upgrade?

Restarting both devices, same issue - again, it restarts/reconnects randomly. Even with the 'reset' done by tech team, doesn't help.

Issue is with router's connection to your servers, not between devices to router.

Maxis is so disappointing.  I've been on 20Mbps for years with them,  at rm198, and now they offer others to upgrade to 20Mbps for rm158.  Feel like a mug as they are not offering me the same.

As per my understanding, it will be:

10Mbps = DL & UP: 10Mbps.

30Mbps = DL & UP: 30Mbps.

50Mbps = DL: 50Mbps, UP: 20Mbps.

100Mbps = DL: 100Mbps, UP: 50Mbps.

I think either the CS gave incorrect info or the speed depends on your area. I am on 50 Mbps since Nov 18 and I do speedtest every night. I always get between 40 Mbps to 50 Mbps download and upload speed.

Hi all..

Anyone attempt to change the wifi router to that of another brand? Any success doing that? I tried setting up Linksys WRT1900ac and it was the most painful experience to-date. Nothing works, called up technical team in Maxis and apart from not being able to provide any assistance, they said, "Linksys? Huh? What Linksys ? You mean TP-Link?"

Anyone has any successful experience and changing/replacing wifi router from the one provided by Maxis?

May I ask where is the biggest obstacle/issue? The Linksys said it is Maxis ready, i suppose they meant, Maxis (if not TM backbone)....

Hope more cancel Maxis Home Fibre so that I can stay and enjoy more "backbone bandwidth" since less users. Can't wait if Maxis will "double my speed"

Hi, I'm new here. Just a few hours ago I activated my Public IP for port forwarding. After going through the process of login in through that account.  Everything works except for port forwarding itself. With the correct ports in. In testers it still says "Port is closed". I know this has been asked many times but I never see it being answered
