QUOTE(barney @ Sep 9 2017, 03:36 PM)
Anyone facing problem looking at the steam store? I know mcmc lifted the ban on steam already but I having difficulties seeing the steam store since yesterday night. Error I get is 404. Unifi friends got no problem though. I'm using the home fiber 10mb still

Even opening browser http://store.steampowered.com also didnt work

I realized something

Server:  maxisgateway.lan
Address:  192.168.1.254

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    mcmc-redirect.maxis.com.my
Address:  175.139.142.25
Aliases:  store.steampowered.com

See the name, maxis DNS renamed it to mcmc-redirect.maxis.com.my. I cannot ping that 175.139.142.25 as well. That explains why this is happening to me. Anyone facing this? Can someone help do nslookup for store.steampowered.com and see what result you get and if its working? Do try on unifi as well as i know unifi users can access.

Use elevated command prompt, and run this command without quotes:
"ipconfig /flushdns"

58% ping loss here.
For now, looks like only Maxis users affected.

I realized that I have been assigned static public IP on IPv4, does anyone seeing this?
Rebooting router, or disconnect/reconnect won't get my IP changed.

Maxis no ipv6, VoIP rj11 cable sticks out from maxis's own router instead of TM's BTU. The TM BTU's rj11 port is reserved for TM subscribers. This configruration limit your router choice, not much router that has rj11 port

My Maxis 10Mbps Fibre has both IPv4 and IPv6 enabled.

QUOTE(busbos @ Sep 2 2018, 11:04 PM)
hey guys can anyone help me do some MTR? with the target host being 103.4.115.248 (wow server)

currently im with 121.121.xxx.xxx IP range and it's kinda sucks

so i need someone with 14.192.xxx.xxx IP range to help me so that i can compare the result

why 14.192.xxx.xxx? because i have a friend with this IP and he's getting way better latency and no spikes

thank you

[attachmentid=10005221] even from within Malaysia already lots of latency spikes
*

Got call from Maxis stating that my router is required to get replaced for upgrading from 10Mbps to 30Mbps, scheduled this Friday for router replacement.
This Friday is only for router replacement, new speed and charges will only take effect on 13rd Sept. Bill will be prorated.

This RM89/month excluding SST 30MBps fibre broadband, the price is fixed?
Or will the price revert to higher price after 2 years contract?

Got my router changed by Maxis to prepare for 30Mbps speed upgrade.
Router given is TP-Link Archer C5v AC1200, but with Maxis logo.

First day when they open the pre-registration form, but then I read some cases here where those who registered later received calls earlier than me, so i submitted again thinking that they didn't capture my first registration form on day one, the resubmission  was like a week ago, and today I received the call.

I did ask the cs rep how do they select to call custs, is it first come basis or random based on area. She said first come first served basis. But again, the stories reported here says otherwise... hmm.gif

I also register interest on the website twice, in the end I got the call to upgrade router and package.

I am also expecting this will happen, let's see how Maxis will get this done, either all together or in stages.

Did a quick check earlier this morning, no speed bump yet, even after restarted modem and router.

But the package in my account has been marked expired.

Thanks bro...

Mine still shows nothing expire or what. Will call them later to check. I am "downgrading" from 30Mbps to 100Mbps. It is a downgrade coz the price is RM10 cheaper than what I am paying now.  sweat.gif
*
Maybe because Maxis still offering 30Mbps package in the new Fibernation plan, just that the price change, and they no longer offer 10Mbps package, which is maybe why 10Mbps package is marked expired.

It makes sense though. Just wonder will I notice the speed change from 30mbps to 100mbps. I definitely feel it when I upgrade from 10mbps to 30mbps. Page load faster and Youtube stream 4K 60fps no buffer. Maybe can stream 8K after this...
*
Does your 30Mbps can stream 4K 60fps Youtube with no buffer?

Mine originally was 10AM, that guy didn't show up but I got his call saying that he will be late, delay to 12PM.
Then after 12PM I SMS him again, he say on the way.
