another doubts, the VOIP port is from router instead of BTU (unifi)
if i change to my own router, i will lose VOIP? sweat.gif

good luck. please share in there if your replacement set up is successful, as a mean to crosscheck if there are new changes and so as to inspire others to greater ... set up. /serious

Yes. You can contact customer service and request it from them.

another doubts, the VOIP port is from router instead of BTU (unifi)
If the fibre infra in your area is under TM, and you subscribe to other ISP, then that's how the VoIP function would look like. No need to doubt on that. It's normal.
You could say that the RJ11 ports on the TM BTU will be left unused when you subscribe to other ISP.

if i change to my own router, i will lose VOIP? sweat.gif
If your own router doesn't support VoIP or doesn't have RJ11 outputs, then you won't be able to use your house phone.

Unless you use both Maxis-provided router and your router at the same time, by connecting a LAN cable from Maxis router to your router, and then disable Wi-Fi on the Maxis-provided router...
That way, you can continue using VoIP.

yeah, can just ask them for the pppoe credentials
voip will be lost but there is a thread linked by another member on how to get it working but you will need other hardware/software
or, daisy chain the stock router to use a dumb voip adapter after disabling its wifi and other unneeded stuff
if you're lucky and your area is Maxis own infra then it may be possible to use the voip ports on the btu (if you're connected via lan1)

Is maxis using new vlan 11? I try to login and saw the profile is Maxis-NGBB and the vlan id is 11. I thought maxis is using vlan 621?

That's not "new" VLAN.
If you see that your Maxis Fibre's VLAN ID is 11, that means you are on Maxis own build Infra network, also known as Maxis NGBB.
And that also means, it does not rely on TM Infra network.

VLAN 621 means you're on TM Infra.

I have another question, I tried to see maxis pppoe password on the router, but it is encrypted.

Supposedly the password is A123456 + 1 at the back right? But I tried this and it did not work. I need it to change to my own mikrotik router. I guess last resort is to call maxis?

Using chrome, highlight the encrypted password, right click, inspect element. Right panel there look for "type=password"
Double click the phrase, change to "type=text" and press enter.

Now the password should revealed.

Like I said, it is encrypted. I have done exactly what you asked. The password came out in full long alphanumeric characters.

Try it without 1 at the back, also make sure you're using the correct vlan depending on infra (621/11)
if it still doesn't work ask Maxis then

1. yes
2. im not sure but its probably possible, better idea would be omada as main router and the kaon as just a voip device
