If you travel a lot, it is alright as their visa signature comes with free PPL access. Otherwise there are better cards out there.

would it be possible to convert existing HSBC CC to another?

Currently have a HSBC Plat card, thinking of converting to Signature card esp after the benefit bump and lounge access

Kinda pissed by HSBC.

Applied VS, and received an SMS said approved.
In the end found up they approved Platinum instead of VS.

How can they do this without any notification?

Thx for the reply.

Actually my yearly income exceed their requirement.
Just that I'm not happy about how HSBC treat their customer.

From application form to website status it shows VS, yet when called CS they told me it's actually Plat.

Furthermore they unable to answer me why so, transferred me thru few diff dept end up asked me to call back next day during working hour…

This is my 1st time dealing with them and that leaves me a very very bad impression about HSBC…

applied HSBC RinggitPlus promo today to get the 1k. Anybody got it - those applying in Jan/Feb?
I read on this thread it took quite long to get approved, but 1 person here eventually got the 1K after 3 months I think.

I’m actually looking at its Visa Signature cause of the rewards points. You mention there are better cards out there, mind to recommend?

Lounge access is not a necessary but good to have. I want better rewards/value though.

HSBC credit cards are just very "MEH" and have 3 years point expiry. Having said that, I just managed to accumulate less than 100K points after 1 year of usage and not sure how much I can get before third year ends.

I think CIMB travel world cards or MBB cashback/Affin cashback are better.

If you travel a lot, you probably have access to better cards that are linked to either LoungeKey/Priority Pass and have unlimited lounge visits including an additional guest.

That said, I still keep my HSBC Premier Travel purely because it has good mile conversion rates to MAS/Enrich Miles. There was also a promotion some time back where there was a 25% bonus on conversion which made it even more worth it.
