hello everyone, i applied for a hsbc amanah credit card a month back and just got a call today to say that it is rejected due to bank's credit criteria and lending guideline. When i questioned them to elaborate more on this, they said that the processing department did not give them the info and usually its confidential.

I continued by asking her what to do in this situation and she kept saying not sure because the processing department did not give the info.

I know that i have no credit issue so what should i do in this situation? Seems so misleading and i applied this through ringgitplus. vmad.gif

On the day when i got the SMS about the new features of the Amanah card, i've also received another SMS an hour later saying 'Congrats on the new card, please click to link to redeem the gift.' Did anyone else get it? I've already used the card for 5 months.

hi, the annual waiver is 12x swipe anytime within a year or must be at least 1x swipe per month for 12 months?

1x per month. If you missed a month, call in to request for a waiver but it’s subject to their approval. It’s better to swipe once a month to avoid headaches

T&C says subsequent year annual fee will be auto-waived if the cardholder(s) swipe the HSBC CC at least once a month for consecutive 12 months. No minimum amount is required.

Is this the new T&C effective 3rd Oct or it's been there all the while? I've had the card for 6 months now and have been using it occasionally only since it's my second card.

Hi, if there is an interest free payment ongoing in my card and i'm planning to cancel the card soon, will there be any issues? I will pay off the remaining interest free payment right before cancelling.

hi, i just activated my new credit card and got the sms to say pin has been successfully created. When i logged into my HSBC online (i have a savings account), i do not see my credit card there. Do i need to do anything?

I saw the steps to register but that seems like for a new online banking account.

Anyone did not swipe the card monthly and cancelled because the annual fee is due soon?

I asked the CS and it will be charged it seems because i missed two months.

Mine should be more than rm10k already swiped. Means you request to waive only when you have been charged the annual fee?

I swipe less than 2k and less than 1 time per month. Manually request annual fee.

But annual fee waiver need to request after charged.

Just got my annual fee charged to Mpower last week. Unfortunately it was charged first so I made a call asking for waiver… I did miss on making 1 trx per month for 2 months I think but annual spend over 2k, CS straightaway file for waiver and within seconds during the call I see the reversal although CS said it might take 3 working days.
Great 👍

Guess I need to wait for them to charge then 😊
