RM 30K is the max amount we can place for each FD account for this FD promo

2 bad things about this HSBC FD promo:
(1) FD will only be effective when the check is cleared; unless bring cash, then FD will effective on the same day.

(2) Only can withdraw one day after the FD maturity day.

By the way, when you signed up your Am Bank Priority account, did your RM allow you to put
a chop/cross on your photostat IC?

Am Bank Sri Petaling at first did not allow me to do it, they said if put a chop/cross on photostat IC, Am Bank Priority Department will not approve the priority account. That's why we had an argument for this issue. Then the RM asked me to keep my money at home... rclxub.gif

No need to record. The bank will conduct its own investigation. The main aim is to get BNM on the customer side regarding the chop/cross matter so that the dispute does not arise in future anymore.

Me: I want to complain a staff from your branch

Never mind lah, I let you know what happened, I want to complain to a RM who is
also in charge in Sri Petaling branch , you should know who she is. Last time I came to

Then the RM said if I worry this and worry that, I should keep my money at home, some more
she mentioned it twice. I think she had the intention to irritate me..

Agreed with you complaining to the branch manager is not effective coz the manager will take it as a small issue. i had an unplesant exerience at RHB and I called up the RHB general line to make a "written" complaint and the next day, the branch manager called up...

hsbc once photocopy our IC ... bloody enlarged double size. Then they stamp ... freaking tiny stamp in area with no details. I was like WTF??? So when the officer walked off somewhere I slashed my 2 strokes across the photocopy. When she came back, she said I cannot do that. i said wtf u mean i cannot do that. It's my IC, I can do what I like with it hahaha you have no right to enlarge double size... WTF LOL ... real a-holes these banks. We should all complain to BNM

Btw, hv u all noticed a trend with new buildings? I was at Menara Hap Seng few mths back & the security/reception ask for my IC which i gave, maybe they just want to copy some details. But no! Bloody hell they put into reader & copy all the embedded info into their freaking security system. i looked at the screen - even my photo & fingerprint also copied. WTF!!! BR HQ also the same... but this time I refused to give. Know what they did? The asked me to smile at their camera... chik chak my mugshot into their hard disk. LOL another wtf moment

Well, that is the good part of local banks. Once they have your details (which was many years ago), they never ask for it unless to verify during withdrawals.
When AM Bank Signature first started, I was called & met my RM at a restaurant which she treated me & just asked me to sign the form to be a member, that is all.

Initially I had no issues with AM Bank at all but when I attended their Customer Service session a few years ago, I was surprised there were sooo many complaints. Guess not much has been done since then & it only got worse.

Just placed a conventional FD with SCB for 9 months 4.25%. Have to open a Just One account for rm1,500 but the leng chai said can withdraw all the next day. Tomorrow i will withdraw all and leave the Just One account become zero balance. Hahaha!

Its just not an effective way to complain. In theory the poison arrow has boomerang to oneself. To shoot poison arrow , must make sure it never return, nevermind if the arrow lost direction, aim must be accurate and effective. Just shoot email to Hq Customer Service and let the arrow find its own path.

Quite a few of us has opened the JustOne acct with zero amt there ! Ah Boom and myself have done that last year. Now waiting for crediting of interest in March ( 6 mth interest ). smile.gif

AFAIK, there is no RM in Sri Petaling. Maybe just officer, no? BTW, there is NO Lenglui in Sri Petaling br. The lenglui RM I was referring to is actually based in Bangsar but she comes to my hse to deliver angpaos la. You ahould ask them to assign one to you and specifically ask for the Bangsar one ...hehe.
