I see...just wondering any of you have priority banking with SCB? The leng lui keep asking me to join their priority banking and told me that the interest now is 4.28%, daily rest! If so good then no need put in FD anymore! Dunno whether to trust this leng lui or not?

Also this leng lui asks me to invest in bonds returns 6% pa. The bond is issued by TF Varlik Kiralama AS...according to leng lui their credit rating is AA3......

Oh, can you repeat again the benefits of priority saving account promo. I just joined their PB, after repeatedly asked by the leng lui.

My SCB 4.00% priority saving account 6 months promo was ended yesterday.
So I have to withdraw all money and put it in some where else, maybe I will put in
HSBC 5% for 3 months..?

That's what was told by the leng lui when i went to deposit FD. Leng lui said they have a priority savings of 4.28% so asked me to join the PB since I'm new to their bank. Anyway you can check with your RM if this is applicable to old members too?

I think it is better to put some money in short term first like 3 months.
I do not like to open many FD accounts in many banks. Yes, UOB is another option.

The benefit of SCB priority saving account promo is merely the 4% high interest rate versus 2.8% in my Affin saving account.

I want to see the terms and conditions first; otherwise I am afraid I will mislead you.

Tomorrow going to OCBC. Have send SMS to register for the FD Ang Pow Contest.

I just called to SCB hotline at 1-300 888 888.

The agent said to participate this 4.28% promo, we have to maintain at least
RM 20k in current account, this RM 20K will be paid 2.8%; whereas the balance in
saving account will be paid 2%.

I think her explanation is quite confusing because any money in
SCB current account got no interest...

This priority saving runs from 1 Feb 2015 until 30 April 2015.

I brought cash to HSBC to open the 5% for 3 months FD so
that my FD can effective today. But this Islamic FD can only be
withdrawn one day after the maturity day.

I put RM 5.00 to open the current account. HSBC Leng Chai promised
to give me one umbrella once the stock is available.

Joined OCBC PB today and placed FD there. More later.

It is a new campaign replacing the expired one. My earlier post has stated some T & C. Today I just placed new FD for the conventional FD in SCB at 15 mth 4.5% rate.

They have new FD promo for:

Conventional FD:
9 mths 4.25%
15 mths 4.5%

Conditions are single placement only, cannot split into multiple FD certs, min 5k to 1mil max. But I guess can get approval if needed. Until 31/3 or max 600 mil.

Islamic FD 15 mth 4.5% promo for existing customer OK (fresh fund only) but need approval. Also need to wait for cheque to clear before effective. So might as well go for the conventional one.

Ah Goat Sir, SCB Leng Lui said that SCB Islamic FD no need 2 days to clear the check,
the Islamic FD can be effective on the same day once we submit the check, but I only trust
her 50%...

About the SCB 4.28% bonus saving, I think I have to give up.
The terms and conditions are very confusing.

When I called to SCB help-line twice, 2 agents told me the different things.

As you know, I have no RM to call.
When I called the SCB shorty branch manager, he is not picking-up my calls or
reply my calls.

When I tried to get information from a Leng Lui RM, she diverted me to talk about investment
products...

(1) 6 Months at 3.90%
(2) 12 Months at 4.00%
Min RM 10K

SCB leng lui told me for Islamic FD need cheque to clear. But since conventional FD is available I don't bother with the issue and just placed FD for the conventional one.

But not surprising about the Islamic requirement. HL Bank Islamic have the same requirement. I lose 2 days interest when I placed FD there last year.

In AmBank today to uplift FD. Now know that they do NOT pay interest over the weekend.

New FD promo for 3 mths at 3.93%. I placed FD for it as I need to use the fund 3 or 4 mths later instead of UOB 3.95% or CIMB 4%. AmBank branch more convenient for me.

Unfortunately unable to get the umbrella as it needs fresh fund. Only realized about this on my way out and saw their leaflet.

Scb 4.28% is applicable only for PB (meaning AUM of 250k)

you need to put and maintain 20k in CA, and the rest in SA will get 4.28% for 6 months.
