Dont worry just stay positive. BTW, what is the size of the company? Small / Big? I heard small companies will be scrutinized more.
Other reasons could be your degree / salary / experience. I believe the delay depends on which checks MoM is investigating.

Translated it in Google translate, that's sad news indeed. Insurance is important. Hey, assuming that newbies like me is going to work in Sg, will it be a good idea to up my insurance coverage/premium in Malaysia?

Or, I'll get another personal insurance in Sg? What do you guys usually do?

Before that, does insurance company in Sg covers foreign workers? I do know that my new company is going to provide insurance. HR will brief me when I start my first day.

Never over commit in insurance , it will drag you down .

Buy must buy but don't over , sorry to say alot of Insurance agent are figures driven they wont really evaluate your financial capability.

My advice if you have insurance from company and yourself stay put with that first , when financially at ease look into upgrading , no need to rush since you have it.

You'll have option to seek treatment in Malaysia if anything happens .

For those who don't have one really do consider take up one policy within your capability.

Your company will cover some basic part for you. It would not be a big sum for most of the case. Always good to have some personal one in case you got retrench, jobless and stuff.

You need to ask your MY agents if yours cover what you want to do in SG or not.

SG insurance agent need to go through with you a whole lot of financial survey before you can purchase one. Just answer honestly. They need to obtain MAS approval before you can buy the plan from them. Prevent you from over committing and prevent agents from anyhow sell anything to you. Be careful those agents setting up booth on the street one. Get recommendation from friend better.

Maybe you do not have any agent friends around you.

In malaysia, i got calls and whatsapp asking me when am I free to meet up for a drink from those agent friends whenever I am in KL.

The moment I knew their intention of asking me out for drink is to sell me insurance, I gave them bullcrap.

Job may be easy if you are in SG but permit application may not be.

As in you may get the job , you may not get a permit.

Honestly is a good entry to SG , work for a while first then think about moving on, as not many got offered such an opportunity , some even tried sending hundreds of resume still no news .

need more info. what industry u in, what position? only then can judge if $2,500 is reasonable.
easy to find, up to u. if u are capable, companies sure will want to hire u. but do note that they would prefer PR/SG'reans, as some companies dont like to deal with paperwork/admin and the hassle of obtaining an EP for u.
