QUOTE(deodorant @ Nov 5 2015, 08:13 AM) Depends if your role is short-term only (e.g. they only hiring you for a year to fill in for a lady on maternity), or if it is memang long term just that they want flexibility of hiring contract vs hiring perm. Banking line: Contract is the first to go whenever there is any cost cutting exercise, or if your role getting outsourced to KL or China or India. Having said that I guess local SG banks are slightly more stable in this aspect. thanks for the advise.. I will go for it and maybe try my best to find another job when the contract is nearing its end

QUOTE(titarium @ Nov 6 2015, 12:21 PM) Job may be easy if you are in SG but permit application may not be. As in you may get the job , you may not get a permit. Honestly is a good entry to SG , work for a while first then think about moving on, as not many got offered such an opportunity , some even tried sending hundreds of resume still no news . QUOTE(whatsayyou @ Nov 6 2015, 12:43 PM) need more info. what industry u in, what position? only then can judge if $2,500 is reasonable. easy to find, up to u. if u are capable, companies sure will want to hire u. but do note that they would prefer PR/SG'reans, as some companies dont like to deal with paperwork/admin and the hassle of obtaining an EP for u. Thanks for the reply and advice. It is an IT project coordinator role. I dont think i will be going for it though, as my current salary in Malaysia is almost twice of that and i do have some commitments. Thanks
