QUOTE(Atoz 1 point 1 auto @ Feb 18 2016, 08:50 PM) Hi darklight79, Are Whey Protein imported from other countries? Or some made in Malaysia using Malaysian technology? I just curious, nothing important. Thanks Yeah there are some local brands here. Haven't tried them yet. Most of them are imported.

inner amour was among one of the brands that were involved in a lawsuit for protein spiking last year (with musclepharm's arnold series if i'm not mistaken). Personally, i wouldn't come close to it.

If I am right, it has been spiked with L-Glycine. I think at the moment they are reformulating their whey protein series. Most companies are since the protein spike thing.

Does the same methodology apply to mass gainers as well? I am currently using Mammoth Mass. Serving size is 160g (2 scoops) = protein 30g + carbohydrates 115g + fat 5g = 150g. Does this qualify as a good mass gainer then? Attached is the nutrition facts of Mammoth Mass. Attached thumbnail(s)

Rather drink Milo and add some protein powder on the side I am abit itchy and did some calculation base on 2 approaches 1. Milo 2. ON Serious Mass Price is base on TESCO and MuscleManiaA pack of 2kg Milo cost RM31.99http://eshop.tesco.com.my/en-GB/ProductDet...tail/7000122955ON Serious Mass cost RM179https://www.musclemaniaclub.net/optimum-nut...ion/seriousmassPrice per servingMilo 20.1g carb 4g protein = RM0.48ON Serious Mass 249g carb + 50g protein = RM11.20Milo In order to get 249g carb, we need 12.3 servings of Milos, which also comes with 49.2g protein Therefore Milo x 12.3 = RM0.48x 12.3 = RM5.904RM11.20(334g per serving) vs RM5.904(369g per serving) The serving is roughly the same but milo is much cheaper version of mass gainer, provided with that amount, you need to also swallow a tank of water to prevent heaty effect. How much is a tank? By finishing the standard extra large 6 litre water bottle at once, I think we will literally go to hospital. And what is heaty effect? used to take ON Gold Standard Whey few years back... still ok for me... Right now just starting to take MuscleTech Nitrowhey Milk Chocolate, i bought it just to test... after first serving, bloated like hell...my tummy is always bulging..like I'm having constipation for weeks, and the nauseating feeling was worst than taking crew boat ride (I used to work at sea)....and it causes all kind of digesting problem, like heartburn...damn.. guess i gotta reduce my serving, and spread it throughout the day..somehow I have to get solid food to reach my protein goal now

One of Milo's ingredients cocoa powder contains trace amounts of caffeine. http://www.nestle.com.au/aboutus/faqs/nutr...--health-faqs#2Q: Does MILO contain caffeine? How does it compare to the amount of caffeine in NESCAFÉ Coffee? A: MILO contains a small amount of caffeine, as caffeine is a natural component of the cocoa bean. It contains less than 10% of the amount found in a cup of instant coffee. My guess the sensation of "heatiness" from Milo is due to the boost in metabolic rate. I think this reply is somewhat OT apologies for bring up Milo in the first place. This post has been edited by aaronpang: Apr 8 2016, 01:51 PM
