Hi Bro,

For sure at this moment any p2p traffic is Not blocked.

But you have reasons to believe some forms of traffic shaping is happening.
This is what happened to other ISP like TM as well.

But one of the easy way to bypass is to alter your computer/Router/any pppoe dialing device's DNS.

Commonly used Public DNS are Google & OpenDNS :

There are 2 Ways to change your DNS,
I) Via Router Configurations
You can access the Router by default 192.168.1.1  or 192.168.0.1 (Assuming it's not changed).
Feel Free PM me if you need the standard login credentials for Time Routers.

II) Via Network Adapters.
Please refer this Step by Step guideline.
Google DNS https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using
OpenDNS https://use.opendns.com/
We have a tool to detect whether the ISP is actually shaping your traffic.
Feel free to PM me should you need that.

Thanks.

I've played Diablo3 with my friends. They were using Unifi and Maxis, sometimes all 3 of them get disconnected and lagging while I'm smooth sailing.

Definitely the best ISP i've used for gaming. My gf can be torrenting and streaming and I'm not even affected.

u cannot use unifi mode. just use normal connection.

as unifi use vlan500 to make a connection. time dont use vlan to make a connection.

i manage both time n unifi in my office.

and i use this router to test them.

Ok had my first ridiculous experience with Time's so called customer service.

Every now and then my connection will become crap. When this happens and I try pinging, I'll see time outs every OTHER second. This is also experienced when playing Diablo. I'll move for a second and then hang for a few continuously. This will go on until I reboot both my router and my modem.

2nd issue. Every now and then my wifi will decide it doesn't want to work. Even the access point name doesn't show up when trying to connect other devices to Wifi during that period. Again, resetting both modem and router fixes the issue. Explaining this to the customer service personnel prompted a question - so how do you know it's your wifi that's not working? WTF? Does your access point disappear when the PPPoE connection is out?????

Then proceeded to argue with me that troubleshooting should be done on LAN. I argued that I have no use for LAN even if it works as none of my devices at home use LAN.

So as usual, I reset my modem and everything was fine again. I said I wanted a replacement modem and router, as I'm fed up of having to reboot them every other day. Customer service told me that router replacement can only be done for free once. If I encounter other issues down the road, it won't be covered by warranty anymore. WTF???

Apparently a lot of customers have been complaining of the same issue, and Time's advice to them is to turn off the router when not in use. Again WTF??? This is quite impossible as there's always someone at home who'll be using the internet and I myself work from home every now and then.

So since I pay for 24x7 access per month, will Time start to charge me only every time I turn my modem or router on instead of a fixed subscription? The best answer came from the customer service agent. He argued saying the modem is free for life. Only the router is a one-off change. Huh??? WTF?? Does he even understand what I'm saying???

The agent was generally twisting and turning trying to weasel his way out of a proper explanation for things and behaves like a great know-it-all. Doesn't even have the proper manners to ask you to hold on. You greet him Good Evening and he answers you Yes? Usually I couldn't be bothered with all these mannerisms but the longer I spoke to him the more irritated I became. Great way to spend 27 minutes on the phone. Good thing I didn't have to REBOOT my phone due to it overheating.

I apologize for the wall of text but it serves as a warning for potential callers.

TL;DR - Time hardware sucks. Apparently cannot be used continuously or will overheat. This is CONFIRMED BY TIME's customer service. Customer service sucks harder. Should've just stayed with Maxis. At least their customer service agents had better attitute most of the time.

Hi Bro,

Let me assist you to pinpoint your problem. Please excuse the TIME Customer Service coz sometimes they are not really technically-wise trained.

From what you've stated above, big possibility the Router is giving problem. The reason the Customer Service requested you to test on LAN connection is to further narrow down& confirm the root cause of the problem, it's part of the troubleshooting procedure. Please excuse if there's any misunderstanding from this point.

The Router is in fact carries a 1 Year Warranty unlike the ONU which carries a lifetime warranty as long as you are still using TIME's service. I know this is not a perfect arrangement as viewing from Customer's perspective, this is not right. Viewing from TIME's side, the warranty is not covered by TIME but instead by the Vendor/Manufacturer which is 1 Year, just like we buy Routers from the shops. Some routers do have 2/3 years warranty, but that's different story la...
We had previously voice out this concern to TIME & they have already looked into it, some customers warranty is over, they will also replace.

Advising customers to turn off & on the Router frequently, obviously this is certainly not a wise solution. The Linksys E1200 (I believe you are using this Router) is in fact having this intermittent connection drop issue due to its firmware issue. TIME's technical team has been notified 6-8 months ago...

Feel free to contact me directly if you need further assistance.

Hi Bro,

I understand no company in this world can afford to provide training that's comprehensive enough to all their customer service employees to ensure they are 100% capable at their tasks and this is why a process is usually set up. Like you said, a troubleshooting procedure. I'm OK if the person is a still learning and a little bit slower at the job but at least try to maintain a friendly and professional conversation in the process. I didn't even mind the fact that I was not greeted when my call was answered and I greeted him nonetheless. It's not like I'm calling to ask for help and not paying anything for it. This is covered by my monthly subscription. When Time has no customers, they wouldn't even have a customer service department to start with.

I was telling him regardless of whether or not my LAN works, the Wifi radio on my router is still screwed and Time has an obligation to replace it. Rather than asking me why I kept telling him about my Wifi issue when he's explaining to me about testing on LAN; when in fact he was the one who asked me how I knew my Wifi wasn't working in the first place.

Also giving me a fed up sounding response when I couldn't give him a satisfactory answer as to which "Windows application" I was using doesn't really help either when in fact what he was really trying to find out was which Windows VERSION I was using.

I told him I've never had such overheating issues with all my previous routers before. And what's most ridiculous about his reply was the fact that he himself faces the same issue with his Aztech router at home!!?? Well if he has issues with his router at home, then he should be complaining about it to his provider, not telling me to accept it just because he faces the same issue himself!

I appreciate your reply and see that you have acknowledged the issue with the Linksys router as well. If only the customer service agent could've told me what Time is going to do about it, all this could've been avoided. When my Wifi doesn't work, it doesn't work. Simple as that. Even if I test the LAN ports till the cows come home, my Wifi wouldn't work until a reboot has been performed. Troubleshooting I can understand, but some procedures are just a waste of time, especially when this is a known issue to Time. And I definitely did not enjoy hanging on to the phone for 27 minutes listening to this customer service agent's attitude.

Seems like a waste of time to get Time to change it since it's bound to just happen again. So the question remains, what will Time do about my router? Thanks.

I hope my posts have not come off looking like I'm trying to undermine our Time resellers in this thread. Make no mistake, I subscribed through bro yeapch01 and his work rate has been immaculate. It's just disappointing to find certain things out like the router having known issues and Time not honouring a second exchange of it after signing up. Not forgetting the miserable experience I had with their customer service.

Hi Bro,

Glad to hear from you again. Well, the issue with the Linksys E1200 Router has in fact intermittent connection drops problem based on our tests. Some customers facing quite often of connection drops & some do not.
I hope the Customer Service is just following the SOP to pinpoint to the exact problem...you know Telco procedures la....

Please send us the Case Report ID & we'll help you to follow up.

I believe Bro Yeap has already started to help you sort things out.

Thanks.

Short review from me, been using time for about 6months. Connection is solid, never encountered any downtime yet throughout my usage except a short 5minutes few months ago. The E1200 initially works fine but after 2nd month, the router tend to hang often. Require restart to refresh back the router. I never turn off my router except if going outstation. Changed to old spare router (support wifi G only for now) and connection been stable so far biggrin.gif

Thanks to JJ for the help with the application and "field' support haha.

Hi,

For those who are using Time, do they have data quotas which they enforce? Do they also throttle torrenting?

Seriously thinking about signing up.

Hi Bro,

TIME does not impose Quota limitation (except for their 100Mbps package which has 100GB Quota), all the rest of the packages do not have Quota.

Also, there is NO throttling on torrenting as well.

Thanks.

Can someone tell me what's the average period of waiting for Centrio Pantai Hillpark? 14 working days is bloody long wei. Take my money so fast but take 14 days to reply :/

Hi Bro,

This area is not ready for TIME FTTX. TIME is using its own infra & backbone, does not share or lease from TM at all, in other words it's totally independent from TM Unifi.

If it's a hurry, Unifi would be your solution as TIME FTTX is not going to be ready in the coming 3 months time.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

Thinking to switch from Unifi to Time. My location is Mont Kiara and I checked with my condo management and confirmed there is coverage for Time.

Would like to know what is the process to change over? For me is important that there is no downtime.

Also, I am using an Asus RT-AC68U router for my Unifi, am I able to use the same for Time (both broadband and IPTV).

Thanks.

No redundancy backup link?
If it's Penang only, why the customer support line isn't working either? It's a 03 no. btw.

I will transfer to Shah Alam sooner or later after my posting in Melaka end soon . In order to subscribe TIME Fibre, i have to find condominium which support time fibre subscription ( which is hard to find and a bit expensive ) . I hope time.com expand their coverage wider . Even in Melaka, my house nearby Bertam Jaya is not covered by Unifi, which I believe is far away from time.com coverage . I hope and I wish my future placement in Shah Alam will covered by Time Fibre.

Hi Bro,

TIME FTTX is not available at Miri, Sarawak yet.

I guess you mean the 100GB package, the speed will be throttled to 1Mbps once reached 100GB Quota.

The rest of the packages are Unlimited Quota.

Feedback Needed for Linksys E1200 Router

Hi All,

Please feedback to me (PM) the problem you faced on Linksys E1200 Router by filling in the followings :

Your Name :
Service No : TBBNxxxxxG
Building Name :
Problem Facing (Categorize into 2 major known problems) :
1) Frequent/Intermittent Connection Drop (Connection auto connect back).
2) Intermittent Hang, Unable to Obtain IP Address from Router (Restart Router solves the problem, Problem comes back after some whiles).

We are going to compile the cases & request TIME to change to a better Router after these long waits.

P/S : At this moment we still don't want to address issues such as signal strength or no. of sessions it can handle as E1200 is only a very basic home Router.

Appreciate your help. Thanks. smile.gif

Hi

I am getting very slow speed even after BOOST is enabled. Please refer to screenshot i have attached.

The speed is not even near my subscribed base bandwidth.
Please assist.

Thank you

How long do I need to wait to get this resolved? Seriously. They sent over a technician to my house, to check if I have an internet connection. Of course I bloody have an internet connection, how else would I have done the speedtest and access the selfcare page.

Can someone please help me escalate this issue? jj or yeap

Hi Bro,

This is dedicated Internet services with at least SLA which is usually suitable for bigger companies, not for home users.

I'm afraid at this moment only TM Streamyx/Unifi is the only choice there.

Thanks.

Hi there, i'm a TIME user and the router they gave me is very weak. I don't mind changing to my own personal router, spending extra money, but when I tried to change it, I couldn't do so as the cable is not the standard cable that can fit in the normal router's port.

Tried contacting them via email and they replied me "Customer are prohibited to change the modem Fibre Optical Network Huawei Modem. We only provide the modem and router only. Any router setup, cable and configurations that are beyond what TIME would support." .

Okay, so I'm stuck using TIME with a small area of wifi. Is there any solution TIME can give if i wish to have a wider coverage ? (I'm just wondering do they expect all the customers to use the wifi within that small compound)

I gave up their customer service, but found that you guys are handling the questions here excellently.

Hi Bro,

You could be changing the wrong device, the device you ought to replace is the Router (Linksys E1200) & NOT the ONU (aka Fibre Modem).
The Interface for Router to ONU is a standard RJ45 network interface.

Please feel free to PM me should you require any technical advise.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I have been told by Astro guy that my condo (Kiaraville Block D in Mont Kiara) can't get Astro B.yond HD because no fibre connection.
But I am pretty sure that Time offers fibre internet to the building.

Can someone please help me confirm if I am able to get Time fibre broadband + astro b.yond to my unit?
If so, do I have to go direct to Time and Astro to setup?
I don't live in Malaysia so trying to set-up for my parents and prefer a easy all in one installation.

Thanks

I missed one month payment to astro IPTV
They cut the astro n internet
After paying it yesterday
3 hours later astro is back as usual

But the time internet is still down
I called up astro IPTV and they told me they have already made a note to time broadband to reconnect
But till now its still not working
Astro IPTV told me to "just wait"
What else can I do to get my internet back?

Please advise
Thanks

Is there any new upcoming promotion package for existing customer? I have been using Timenet fiber broadband for one year and I am thinking of upgrading the package.

Dear yeapch01/jjj2,

I am interested in getting TIME Fibre Broadband, wanted to confirm whether Prima Damansara Condominium KL Block B has coverage?

Also noted that there are two separate ways to get TIME Broadband via IPTV (Astro + Time) and straight from TIME, was interested in more information on the differences between the two services as I can see that getting it direct from TIME is cheaper, so wondering if getting Astro separately (which I note have the same priced packages as if you got it via the IPTV bundle) what the main differences are besides price. Also to note here is that my Condo has a centralised Astro satellite dish if I just want to get Astro separately.

I would greatly appreciate any help with clarifying the above as I am trying to decide on an appropriate internet provider soon.

Thanks!

I was thinking exactly the same thing as Jaysus. It seems the IPTV bundle provides lower speeds than the TIME fibre by itself. I'm interested in getting IPTV + TIME for my condo, Ceriaan Kiara. Its under the coverage area. Also I'm hoping for the installation to be ASAP as the current centralized dish at the condo wont provide HD channels for some reason and I also need Internet. Also, are there any promotion on right now? Hoping to hear from you guys soon smile.gif

Hi Bro,

To do the Boost, go to http://selfcare.time.net.my

The Username & Password is usually written on the piece of paper (Work Completion Advise) you signed when the Installer finished installation.
In the form of username@timebb

Please do call to Customer Service at 1800 18 1818 if you cant locate it.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

Both the Username & Password for the FREE Boost link & Customer Bill Viewing portal are DIFFERENT.

FREE Boost login credential is the same as Router PPPOE login.

Thanks.

Yes Bro.... Bro Yeap is right..

TIME does not practice throtlling (100Mbps FTTH is another story) ...& does not block P2P traffic....

Please take note that the recent slowness for China website traffic is non-related to this at all.

Thanks.

Hi, I am currently using Astro IPTV with TIME 6MB broadband via fibre. I have the linksys WIFI router and this has been working fine for over one year. This week i started to notice about 1MB up/downlink speeds when using wifi but if i connect a LAN cable to the router I get the correct 6MB up/downlink speeds. I suspect the linksys is having some issues and its out of warranty. Can i simply purchase a new WIFI router e.g. TPLINK WR1043ND and set the PPOE values as per the current router? I was in an IT store today and asked if this would work but they were not sure and said no. If you guys know the truth I would appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

First it's advised to determine the root cause of the problem. Wireless performance deterioration could be due to many factors.

As for E1200 with narrow 2.4GHz wireless transmission, try changing the frequency channels to 1, 6 or 11 or try test nearer to the Router to see if there's any difference.

Yes WR1043ND will work just fine.

Thanks Bro,

I will try that and if all else fails I will get a new router. The following is the "helpful" response from Astro:

Please be informed that as per update from technical team, your LAN connection is stable and only Wi-Fi is not stable. You need to call Cisco directly in order to reconfigure back the router.

Please call Cisco at 1800-81-2358 as the router is already over warranty.

Dear bro

Thanks for your interest in time fibre, as time is the only provider that provides 100 per fibre solution in malaysia in general, it is considered very reliable most of time. Besides another plus point is time do not practise block on torrent downloading that his competitor does.

Overall if on any downtime, the response time also very fast, basically less than 24 hours

Kindly check your pm for more details.

Hi Bro,

Here are Pros & Cons of TIME Fibre :

Pros :
1) In terms of speed & stability, it outperforms many of its competitors.
2) Price/M is cheaper.
3) Power by 100% Fibre all the way from it's OLT, FTB, SPLT & into your house's ONU.
4) No time based throttling.
5) No blockage over P2P traffic.

Cons :
1) Coverage is limited, usually to high rise buildings.
2) Fibre tools are needed for maintenance & normal users can't troubleshoot themselves.
3) Current given E1200 Router is not up to expectation (This problem has been addressed & TIME is working on a replacement model, PM me if you need help).

Please do check out your PM for more details.

Thanks.

just that not sure the reliability...

First time broadband user in Malaysia here. I'm using TIME's 100Mbps package and I kid you not, so far it is awesome. Understandably enough, I only got like 60-70 Mbps at a time, but for only RM179/month, I'd say it's still the bang for the buck. I actually forgot to pay July's bill and they didn't cut the connection cold past the due date. Of course I've paid my dues already together with August's bill. tongue.gif

Thanks Bro for the feedback.

Ya agree 100Mbps package many users are not able to get up to 9x--100Mbps.... there are several factors which causing this.

50Mbps & 100Mbps Unlimited commercial package are also launched & this makes them really have to look into this matter more seriously.

Thanks.

Apart of constructing the APG in the effort of reducing dependencies to SG IX & traffic load & latency to United States ...TIME has invested the 2nd Trans-Pacific Submarine Cable System connecting Asia to the States...

Shah Alam, 11 August 2014 - TIME dotCom Berhad (“TIME” or “the Group”) today announced that it has invested in its second Trans-Pacific submarine cable system that will connect Asia and North America in support of its global expansion initiatives.

Its investment in the FASTER cable system (FASTER) is the Group’s second submarine cable project in partnership with Google and other investors, and builds on the strength and success of its previous investment in the Unity Cable System (Unity).

“When we first invested in Unity in February 2008, I didn’t think we’d so quickly be in the position where the demand would so steeply outstrip supply” said TIME’s Chief Executive Officer, Afzal Abdul Rahim. “I am glad that we are able to supplement our existing Trans-Pacific capacity and add resilience to our global network on such an important route as the Trans-Pacific segment”.

user posted image
FASTER: TIME’s second submarine cable project in partnership with Google will provide the Group with additional capacity to meet intensifying demand along the Trans-Pacific route.

FASTER is also expected to extend the Group’s intra-Asia capacity when the Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) cable system, in which it owns a stake, is completed. The APG will link the high-growth ASEAN region to Japan and beyond, to the United States.

TIME’s participation in the FASTER cable system comes just four months after it announced that it had joined a consortium to construct and maintain the Asia-Africa-Europe-1 (AAE-1) submarine cable system, a high-capacity cable system linking Asia and Europe via the Middle East.

“Our participation in FASTER marks another major milestone for the TIME Group’s Asia-World-Asia strategy”, added Afzal.

Together with five well-established global service providers, TIME, through its wholly owned Global Transit 2 Limited (GT2L) subsidiary, will construct and maintain FASTER, an approximately 9,000 kilometre-long cable system linking Japan and North America.

FASTER will feature an initial design capacity of 60Tbps and the Group’s investment will see it secure one dedicated fibre pair capable of carrying 10Tbps of capacity with the current 100Gbps technology.

TIME is joined by China Mobile International, China Telecom Global, Google, KDDI and SingTel as partners in FASTER.

The FASTER cable system is targeted for completion in the second quarter of 2016.

But Time 8 Mbps is cheaper than UniFi 5 Mbps.

Just some traceroute results for gamers interested in TIME.

user posted image

The above results is the ping you'll get to League of Legends, but only if you're playing in the SEA server which is run by G*rena. To play on Riot servers you'll get the usual 200+ ms ping unfortunately. It's been a long process to getting the ping to this since I subscribed to TIME. Back then it was pretty bad with 180ms or more but after making numerous reports the TIME people have managed to get it fixed.

For Diablo3, I force my client to connect to the AU server which is in Sydney and so far TIME's routing is the fastest compared to Unifi. I get sub 120ms pings at night while my Unifi friends are getting 170-180ms. Still much better than US which gives either ISP users 200+ ms. * AU server seems pretty laggy today, with packet loss along the way in AU. Hope it clears up soon.

This is the result for Path of Exile GGG server which is located in Singapore. Do not confuse this with the G*rena server which is separate. The Singapore gateway for GGG is not listed in the client and you have to manually type out "Singapore" when you connect. This is probably done because of some licensing agreement with G*rena.

That's all the results I have.

Hope this helps!

This refers to Latency... In Networking this is defined as the time (delays) it takes for a packet to travel from source to destination & back, usually measured in millisecond (ms).

The Ping Plotter results shows TIME's latency is much more lower comparing to its competitors, this translates to a better gaming experience with less lagging.

Thanks.

Guys,
Got few questions need to ask.. Im using ASTRO IPTV now.. the 2 years contract is done. So Im thinking to stop subscribing to Astro, and subsribe to TIME 15mbps for Rm179 instead.

1. I call up Astro the other day asking about the procedures, they told me have to pay finish my bill (still got 1 month outstanding LOL), then make an appointment with Astro technician to disconnect and pull out my fiber cables, then I myself has to return the decoder, router and modem. Is this correct?

2. Is there any physical shop for TIME around Damansara Perdana area? As my wife prefer to register with physical store.

3. Is there any promotion now or in near future? I know they are giving free Lenovo tablet now. Anybody got it? How was the tablet?

P/S: TIME is the best ISP I had so far thumbup.gif

Thanks!

Hi Bro,

Technically, it simply means that the Rx optical power of the ONU is lower than the optical receiver sensitivity.

Usual Cause :

Fibre Connector / Cable Problem.

You gotta report to TIME Customer Service @ 1800 18 1818.

Thanks.

P/S : Please call me if you need any further advise.

I had just signed up Time 10 mbps with astro IPTV package yesterday after my 2 years unifi contract due. Most of the feedback from users here are positive, except for performance of bundled router (only support 2.5gHz, my current Unifi Dlink DIR-615 router can support 5gHz bandwidth). I would like to know has anyone use Unifi Dlink router for Time broadband service? Can it be done and how?

One more question: Is the free Lenovo tablet applicable for Time Fibre 10mbps + astro IPTV subscriber(new)? The agent that serve me did not mention this when I subscribed yesterday... sad.gif
Thanks in advance

Hi Bro,

I'm sorry you cant use the Unifi Dlink 615 router for Time with IPTV as the Vlan tagging for Astro-Time is done via the ONU & not the Router.

But you can use the standard D-link 615 router (standard Dlink firmware) to replace the E1200 Router given by Time.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

There are lots of factors causing the DC...

Though usually Time has fairly low latency which benefits very much for gaming experiences, it though depends on the location of your gaming server.

We've tested some areas Unifi actually has lower latency.

Generally Time outperforms its competitors in terms of performances.

Feel free to drop me an email or PM should you require further details.

Thanks.

Yes, I am using Asus router. The Linksys router provided by Time is not so stable even though I had upgraded to latest firmware. Just like Streamyx, you use the account for speed boost and connect using PPPoE.

Hi Bro,

Brilliant decision... but not all Asus Routers are good... only certain models are recommended.

Upgrading E1200 to the latest firmware sometimes will reduce the issue but not a ideal solution.

Thanks.

Yeah... I heard the RT-N5x ir RT-N6x series also not so stable but they have option to switch to DDWRT or Tomato RT.

Mine is RT-N14U which is ok and has USB port also.

I am not sure for your apartment/condo. Base on my experience in my current condo, I can tell you that the "backdoor agreement" should be done between TM and estate manangement (or JMB). Why? During the intro of PenangFON, many residents were asking for it to come. But PenangFON said it is up to the estate management (JMB) to allow them to setup infrastructure or not.

Hi Bro,

I believe you are already using the latest v2.0.06 firmware, for this batch of Routers, it's already preloaded with the latest firmware, if not also our SI already upgraded it.

Based on our network team's statistic, the intermittent disconnection is a known bug that has not been resolved by Linksys since end of last year.

Please PM me for more details about your problem. I'll assist you into pinpointing the root cause.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

Yes there are couple of people facing the same issues & based on the Trace Route results, we found that it's caused by the Globaltransit node.

Please PM me your test results as well to examine further.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

Are you refering to the ONU or the Router?
It's not required to change the default login for the ONU as Time has other means of security method to secure it.

For Router yes you may want to change the Default Login.
Just go to Administration > Router Password... change it & save settings.

Feel free to PM me if you need further help.

Thanks.

Hi Judy,

Please PM me your speedtest results using cable connection to the Router.

Also, try to connect to some local CDN sites such as Youtube to see if it's having the same problem.

Feel free to PM me your outcome.

Thanks.

Welcome Bro biggrin.gif

Please also write down somewhere the Router Login credentials ya....you might need it some day, and also sometimes Time TS may need that to remote login in case you face some 'hard to solve' issue which SI could not solve it.

Hope to get some tips from users here.

I've been having problems with the Linksys E1200. The range is bad and also there is a static IP bug which can't allow me to block DNS. Also when I do a speed boost, I can only manage to get around 30+Mbps. Nowhere close to 50MBps.

Has anyone tried using TP Link branded routers like this?: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details...model=Archer+C7

Hi Bro,

Well...E1200 is indeed not a good router where it comes to performance & stability.

Yes Archer C7 is fine. Please do check out my PM for more details.

Hi all,

I am in Penang. Currently on the 10mb line.
My problem started last week. When on LAN the speed is constant 8 to 9Mbps. But on wifi, will stay at 1.2 to 1.4 Mbps.

Called in, the CR help to reset then the speed back to normal 8 to 9 Mbps, then 2 days ago it plunge back to 1.2 to 1.4Mbps.

Any of you facing the problem? Any solution?
