Just some traceroute results for gamers interested in TIME.

user posted image

The above results is the ping you'll get to League of Legends, but only if you're playing in the SEA server which is run by G*rena. To play on Riot servers you'll get the usual 200+ ms ping unfortunately. It's been a long process to getting the ping to this since I subscribed to TIME. Back then it was pretty bad with 180ms or more but after making numerous reports the TIME people have managed to get it fixed.

For Diablo3, I force my client to connect to the AU server which is in Sydney and so far TIME's routing is the fastest compared to Unifi. I get sub 120ms pings at night while my Unifi friends are getting 170-180ms. Still much better than US which gives either ISP users 200+ ms. * AU server seems pretty laggy today, with packet loss along the way in AU. Hope it clears up soon.

This is the result for Path of Exile GGG server which is located in Singapore. Do not confuse this with the G*rena server which is separate. The Singapore gateway for GGG is not listed in the client and you have to manually type out "Singapore" when you connect. This is probably done because of some licensing agreement with G*rena.

That's all the results I have.

Hope this helps!

Maybe a FAQ would be great for this thread.

Yea but ezinger would need to edit the post and include all the FAQ there.
I'm pretty sure with all the questions both yeap and jj choo get in their PM they can come up with a pretty detailed FAQ.

The only blizzard server I'm able to get a consistent connection to is the US Diablo3 server.

The Oceania D3 server gives me, on good days about 110-120ms ping but of late it's been really dodgy with packet loss on multiple hops when the data gets to Aus. Have already made multiple complaints so I hope it'll be rectified soon.

Which blizzard game is this? SC2?

Just a note, if the tracert result shows a sgw.equinix.com hop, that will be where the problem is.

My data to Diablo3's AU server is suffering horrible packet loss because of that hop. Already reported this multiple times over the past few months and it won't go away. Happens periodically like once every 1 or 2 weeks and goes on for about a week or so then settles back down.

Yeah bro. It's on and off with that hop. One week ok, 2 weeks bad and so on.

I've resorted to using a tunnel service now to bypass it. Have already made my report to Astro IPTV 3 times about this problem but it's still not resolved.

What's your email address bro? I'll send you the pingplotter results I saved from different dates.

Hi Bro,

Please cc Time as well, hope they can liaise with their partner, Singtel & then Equinix.

This on & off problem still not fully resolved since 2013.
P/S : Feel free also to pm/email me the trace route results for further checking.

Can someone in Klang valley do a ping test for me?

I'm looking for results to the ip: 88.150.184.34

Looking to switch out of streamyx due to abysmal gaming pings (it has jumped from an avg of 240ms, to 480ms this past month), but first I need to find out if it's actually better elsewhere.

Thanks!

It's the same with TIME. 433ms average round trip.

I think it's the globaltransit.net node that it is travelling on that's causing the huge spike. What server is this?

Alright just fixed. The service guy came in and out in 10mins. He had to cut and reconnect a new plug to the fiber end.

That's weird the same thing happened to me last Sunday at about 3am in the morning. I thought it was just a service interruption but when I woke up the modem still had the red blinking light on.

Had to wait till Monday morning for the technician to drop by and he cut the fiber and replaced the plug as well.

Been having extremely slow download speeds lately. Am I the only one experiencing this? FYI the area is Mont Kiara.

I'm located in MK as well but doesn't seem like I'm having any issues. Torrent speeds are fine for me so far.

Is anyone having to wait an unusually long time for the selfcare page to load? Or is it just me?

I'm just waiting for the Astro IPTV contract to be over so I can get rid of the piece of crap service and subscribe to Netflix.

Will definitely still maintain TIME cause I think by far it's the better ISP compared to TM or Maxis.

Question on the revised pricing I noticed in one of the posts it says "for a limited time only".

Does this mean it's just a promo price and it'll revert back to the old price after?

Reason I'm asking is I have to wait till end June for my Astro IPTV contract to end. If this promo is limited time then I would just cancel the IPTV contract and pay 1 month cancellation fee and upgrade to 20mbps with TIME.
