QUOTE(8tvt @ Aug 28 2006, 12:00 PM) @tachlio Asus already released 0304 bios.. claimed solving memory compatibility.. donno solve the vdimm prob or not.. not try yet.. have u try it? ftp://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket...N-E/M2NE304.zipI thought M2N-E only have RAM issue... not Vdimm issue.

QUOTE(soulfly @ Aug 28 2006, 03:29 PM) I thought M2N-E only have RAM issue... not Vdimm issue. not for asus but for their users.. coz asus also make a mistake or mistakenly put the quote http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.aspx?l1=3...181&modelmenu=1QUOTE Precision Tweaker It offers ways to raise system performance inch-by-inch and step-by-step to achieve maximum performance! This is about getting the most out of your machine and taking pride in your customized computer. * vDIMM - Take control of how much power is going into the memory modules. ASUS gives you 15-step voltage control to the DIMM * vCore - Find out "exactly" how much power your CPU needs. Fine-tune it with 0.0125 volts at a time! * SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) allows - FSB tuning from 200MHz up to 400MHz at 1MHz increment - PCI Express frequency tuning from 100MHz up to 200MHz at 1MHz increment the 15-step voltage control is doesn't exist.. infact away from 5.. [auto] [1.8v] [1.85v] [1.9v] [1.95v]

GBLA are considered low end performance RAM, that's why it's cheap. This post has been edited by soulfly: Aug 29 2006, 11:18 PM

x-bit claimed new asus board (M2N-E n even SLI) is not a good oc mobo.. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboard...force570_7.htmlQUOTE The mainboard began to overclock the CPU eventually, but the problem with restarting didn't vanish. I tried to achieve stability at 325MHz, but to no effect. The system would issue a BSOD right after I launched S&M. The system was not stable at 320MHz, either, even though I had to wait for the BSOD for a while. The M2N-SLI Deluxe and M2N-E mainboards being almost identical, it was possible to try to use the senior model's BIOS in the M2N-E. I just swapped their BIOS chips, which turned to be identical, and enjoyed all the BIOS options of the M2N-SLI Deluxe on my M2N-E. Well, it might have made sense if the M2N-SLI Deluxe were an overclocking miracle. I had no improvements whatsoever because both the mainboards were no good at overclocking. even can swap M2N-E bios chip with the SLi.. the oc potential still the same..but the think is.. >300fsb still not a good mobo? i never thought it's chipset problem.. just think bad bios programming..

Anyway I got myself a Gigabyte G-Power, is so-so lah. Nothing fancy but cools reasonably. Around 7C reduction from stock fan when used with AS5..

hmm, haven't try 32M yet...
But, when I try to push my clock spd higher than 2.4GHz, the whole system become unstable and will restart automatically...
Is this the sign of not enough Vcore? I tried to put 1.5 Vcore and push the clock to 2.6GHz, then my comp restart automatically while I try to stress test...
