QUOTE(soulfly @ Jul 21 2006, 01:52 PM) hmm.... I think it's just the same la, it's just that Sempron had lower multiplier and clockspeed, as well as smaller cache. Which Sempron were you talking about.... 2800+ or 3000+? Both are rated at 1600MHz if I'm not mistaken. sorry bout bring back this old page For AM2 processors, divider is DDR against clockspeed. Check out this table for Athlon64 dividers, Sempron might applicable as well. Not sure where the original source came from, but thanks to knacky from XS forum for posting it up earlier. ![]() All AM2 processors run on dual channel. did the multiple is fixed ?? can i try to put 1:1 or something near to AM2 ?? coz if is 1:1 my ram will be 333MHZ right then i don need to OC my ram then i can use 333as my FSB sorry about my noob Q |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Aug 15 2006, 05:51 PM) i put 3 ady hope someone can help us~ Hmm - it seems that we'are not the only ones having problems with RAM. There are only 6 posts but 300+ views. Also it seems that there no asus representative reads this message board. What all of us can do, is to mail tsd@asus.com with description of problem and request updated bios/ or another solution. If you are lazy just as I am you can use template I prepared (but I recommend that you change it somewhat) Remember - if enough of us mails asus it may speed things up. Asus needs to know that this is serious problem , affecting many of us. Worst case scenario I expect - we will get straight answer if this problem can be fixed or not. So don't hesitate and fire up your mail client Thanks, Christopher ----CUT HERE------------------- Hello. I recently bought ASUS M2N-E motherboard. Your product is advertised as "Exceptionally Overclocking". However this board suffers from serious bug: DIMM voltage can be set only at 1,95V max. This not only limits overclocking potential, but also makes impossible to use most 667 and 800 MHz DDR2 memory sticks. Most of these memory modules require 2,1-2,4V dimm voltage. Also to my knowledge, many users report RAM stability problems even with major brand memory sticks. I am really disappointed. What I would like to now, is: -is ASUS working on mentioned problems? -can these bugs be fixed with BIOS updates? Or can they be fixed only by releasing new motherboard revisions? -if higher DIMM voltage (>1,95V) can be only achieved by releasing updated motherboard PCB design, will my product be replaced free of charge? I'm looking forward to your answer. With Regards, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- source : Asus Forum This post has been edited by tachlio: Aug 15 2006, 09:08 PM |

QUOTE(8tvt @ Aug 16 2006, 05:15 PM) i think we need >2.2v to get 800DDR.. i think i wil try using using DDR533 and 250FSB with lower multiple try can pass 250FSb onot 1st u try put 533 base drr first... and vdimm auto.. the cpu u can increase until 1.5.. i've tried before but the temp quite high.. need better cooler to attempt more.. other thing is.. normally X2 3800+ can max 2.6.. so 250fsb should near the ceiling.. and it's par to 5000+.. just try it slowly.. i also using stock cooling , must try it slow and slow ~ lately quite buzy , later will tell u result |
