Bros, may i ask a question.
My car just tinted with brand 3M from Honda Authorized Dealer and i found the VLT are quite high... Am i able to add another tint to reduce VLT? or i need to re-do it all again
*
When you say VLT is high meaning? Honda, in theory, should tint, according to JPJ standards (that said, not all outlets follow this specification)

Assuming that Honda tint according to JPJ, you are left with sunshade as an alternative.

It is not recommended to tint over tints, as two tints expand and shrinks differently, and one may affect the other.

I have done dual tint, but the second was installed after 3 months gap.

Reason, the 1st tint was too bright albeit with 50% TSER, 90% IRR.

Its ok iinm, it depends on the manpower skill for installation. Mine was installed with old uncle technician.

I will not recommend to anyone as it can attract to JPJ

> Consumers are not forced to pay more for the product. The cost of using the system’s platform will be absorbed by the industry players.

> The products have been through vigorous and robust test to make sure that they are of high quality and fit the requirement. This helps to avoid situations where consumers are force to carry out vehicle inspections that require money and time, when law enforcers are not sure if their tint films are standardised.

> With specially-designed label, it is very easy to differentiate between a genuine product and a fake one. Consumers could download the mobile applications to scan and compare if the products are qualified or genuine.

> The information and features of the product, including its origins and brand will be listed in the system. Consumers need not to worry about being cheated by unethical sellers. They could even compare the prices of the products and select the one with fair price and high quality.

> The new mechanism requires the product to last for at least five years. This avoids the situation where consumers wrongly purchased low quality products and have to change to new tint film within a short time frame.

> While empowering the consumers’ rights to information, they still have their options. As the mechanism does not force on anyone and does not monopoly the market, consumers are free to purchase products that they like which may not come with a warranty.

Raytech Ultra 70 - VLT 73%, TSER 58%
Huper Ceramic 60 - VLT 60%, TSER 42%
3m crystalline 70 - VLT 68%, TSER 50%
vkool elite - VLT 73% , TSER ?? (cant found tser)
haverkamp 70 , VLT 70%, TSER 50%

just wondering how you get this TSER 58% ? Do you mind to explain the way you get TSER 58% ?

raytech 70 is 15% more compare with others film in market.  All Tint Film model above IRR should all is 90% above. With same IRR & VLT , how come Raytech 70 have big different compare to others ?

I had my car tinted for 1 year already, using Raytech highest spec (Centurion RX + Ultra 70). So far for me the performance are not good enough. I still feel the car is very very hot if park for long time under the sun (not much different compare to my other car which just tint for 1.2k).

Anyone facing this issue? Or is there any way to check is my film really is ori raytech, or if it is ori, how do i know is rx and u70? And yes, I did my tinting in authorized raytech dealer.

Yes, my car is fully leather seat. So far so good against the sun. Doesn’t feel the bbq as compared to original Skytint.
I’m sure it will somehow deteriorate as nothing last forever.

FAQ on the MS2669 and AAA Tintrac System
All question by anybody on the system will be answer here accordingly. The answer may update when news release.

Question :
How is the system benefits to us?

Answer :
1. QR code contain tint film information that test in the laboratory that accredited by MS2669.
2. Now you are able to access the tint film quality that you paying by referring to the TSET class and it’s specification on the QR code.
3. These products are compliant with JPJ rules & regulations.
4. Stop industry player providing Fake IRR or TSER to consumer.
5. Stop industry player selling low cost inferior product with short terms heat rejection or product with bubbling problem.
6. Stop industry player selling fake or non-original brand product.

Question :
Will the system burden on the consumer?

Answer :

Good news is consumer will be happy on this system because :
1. Consumer will not bear on anything. (Industry player absorb the cost)
2. Car tint is not cheap in market. Good quality normally price above RM1000
3. You will not pay more for inferior product or being cheated with misleading info.

The system increase RM20 costing on each car tinting by the tinting industry player, in order to sustain and operate the whole system. However, it is consider reasonable price compare to credit card charges is even more higher rate.

Question :
Is the QR code guarantee it is compliant with JPJ ?

Answer :

Actually, it is guarantee compliant with JPJ as it is the purpose on the Standard MS2669. It can assist JPJ on enforcement and operation.
You can visit the www.aaatintrac.my.
Check on the MS2669 committee member list, Minister of Transport, MOT, KPDNKK, JPJ, Puspakom, JKJR, MIROS, AAA, MAA, MAI, Polis Diraja etc.

However, if any misuse of the AAA QR code sticker, the responsibilities lies with the owner. Example :
1. Use Fake QR code.
2. Install another layer tint film on top of the first layer film.

Question :
Can the QR code sticker be duplicated easily?

Answer :

No, the QR code sticker unable to duplicate. Every QR code sticker is unique and it contain vehicle and tint film information when you scan with Tintrac Apps. The QR security seal can be duplicated but it will be rendered useless without the software.

Question :
How many AAA QR code in a car?

Answer :

Total six (6) AAA QR stickers in one car. The Tintrac QR stickers is sandwiched between the glass and the tint film. The Tintrac QR code sticker will located on the corners of front , rear and side windscreen..

Nothing much u can do. Even if u try other manufacturer, the result will be the same. I got experience and jumping from one tint to another and fyi, any high end tint cannot prevent cabin interior become hot if u PARKING UNDER SUN FOR LONG LONG TIME. If tint manufacture claim it, then it is bullshit. I had try it and I know.

Impossible for car to keep become cool under sun exposure for long time since sun will still penetrate and accumulate over time.

Differences between ur high end tint with rm1.2 tint is, how fast interior cabin become cool. Dunno u realize this or not. Fyi, My car that use top range become cool, very very quickly as compared to middle range tint I use b4.

Based on ur description, No way ur tint is fake if it been install at raytech authorized dealer.

Hi bro, there is no film from any brand that can make your car "not hot" for parking long. My car is using Raytech RX IRR 95%, I tested the car just a little bit warm within 1 hour parking under the sun. Still feel great with it. For example, although the car is tinted with solar control film, maybe only 5% of heat coming in from window, what do you think if this 5% of heat is keep coming for 2-3 hours. The heat will trap inside the car and become hotter and hotter. From my personal experience, it take only 5 minutes to cool down my car, although I park my car for several hours. Install a great tinted film will give you better result smile.gif

If you still have any worries about it, we hope you can bring your car to us for a solar meter testing. Our window film consultant will solve your problem smile.gif

Raytech Tinting has designed a special warranty card system to make sure our customer purchased a genuine Raytech product. Raytech principle only distribute limited amount of Standard Warranty card and Hologram Product Label Stickers along with the stock ordering by each Raytech Authorized Licensed dealer. We have only one type of standard warranty card. You must make sure you received this standard Raytech warranty card and two (2) pieces of Hologram Product Label Sticker are pasted inside the card, one sticker is the product code for front windscreen and the second one is product code for the rest of the windows.
