if you're nitpicking on the 0.2% on the remaining spend, the most accurate way to maximize cash back would be:

Petrol / Online / Auto-Bill = RM 540.60 (Cash back 15% = RM 81.09)
Dan lain-lain = RM 1959.40 (Cash back 0.2% = RM 3.91)
Total spend = RM 2500, Cash back = RM 85..

counting in the 0.2% is too complicated.

in summary to maximize the just one plat cash back

Spend 12 / 0.05 = RM240 in Petrol, eCommerce & Auto bill, spend 760+ in others for 1.2% ~ 0.8%

Spend 28 / 0.1 = RM280 in Petrol, eCommerce & Auto bill, spend 1220+ in others for 1.86% ~ 1.12%

spend 85/0.15 = RM567 in Petrol, eCommerce & Auto bill, spend 1933+ in others for 3.4% ~ 0%

1,000 to 1,499.99 -> 12/1000 ~ 12/1499.99 = 1.2% ~ 0.8%
1,500 to 2,499.99 -> 28/1500 ~ 28/2499.99 = 1.86% ~ 1.12%
Above 2,500 -> 85/2500 ~ 85/∞ = 3.4% ~ 0%

HLB Wise seems to have better effective rate but no rebate if spend rm2000 lower, just one plat got rebate even spend below RM2500

PBB VS better than Wise. Probably can also consider Stanchart master gold cash rebate better ?

Yeh, the Gold CR suits my needs better and far more straightforward. CS kept pushing me to apply for Just One (probably higher commission) but I insisted on Gold CR.

Btw, thanks for to posters who went through detailed calculations on Just One. Very useful.

edited my earlier reply..

you need to spend RM 85 / 15% (i.e. RM 567) on those 3 categories, and another RM 1,933 on others to maximize your cash back..

if you spend less, then the effective cash back is less.. e.g. if you spend 1,500, you can get back RM 28, which is a 1.86% cash back, but if you spend 2,499, cash back cap is still RM 28, so you'll get back only 1.12%..

for these kinds of cards, you'll need to target to spend to the minimum of the highest tier in order to max your cash back..

Hi All,

1)May I ask if spend total RM2500 on purchasing air ticket online and Agoda can entitle for the full RM85 CB?
2)If can't spend RM2500 monthly,but once in a while will have "others" spending around RM1933,anyway to deal with the auto bill debit part?

Thanks

Has anyone applied for and received the SCB cards recently?

They called me on Monday to say that mine has already been approved. However, it's now Friday and nothing has arrived. Do they normally send via Pos Laju or normal post?

Did you check the reward section? You have to redeem the cash back yourself. Once redeemed it will take 1 working day to be posted in your unbilled transaction.
