Apologies if this has been posted, if I pay RM1500 to AEON CC via POSonline with SCB CB card; is that transaction eligible for RM50 cash back?

Got a notification today saying my Gold Cashback card has been approved.

Just an interesting point to note:

I applied under the RM300 acquisition programme (see earlier posts in thread), which ended on 30 September. One of the T&C says cards must be applied and APPROVED during the campaign period.

Mine was approved AFTER 30 September. However, the PriceSolutions people told me that their internal cut-off to receive all applications is 30 September, and they will honour the campaign cashback for cards approved by mid October. In short, she said that my card is marked as eligible for the campaign.

I normally don't like to rely on verbal representations if they differ from written TNC. However, I will take my chances on this and monitor if I really get the RM300 cashback. If not, I will still benefit from the card's normal cashback feature.

Great thanks for informing. Its good to know that the message is consistent - increases our likelihood of the cashback being honoured smile.gif.

Sorry - I don't understand your question.

There is no annual fee.

Hence no need to request for waiver.

Just Plat effective cash back is 3.4% (only for petrol, ecommerce, auto bill) and need to spend 2.5k to hit that cash back..

Gold Mastercard effective cash back is 3.33% (for all* categories), and need to spend 1.5k (* at least 1k on non-petrol & non-insurance, subsequent 500 can be on petrol & insurance)..

for me, still Gold Mastercard better.. and can use other cards for 5% petrol cashback..

edited my earlier reply..

you need to spend RM 85 / 15% (i.e. RM 567) on those 3 categories, and another RM 1,933 on others to maximize your cash back..

if you spend less, then the effective cash back is less.. e.g. if you spend 1,500, you can get back RM 28, which is a 1.86% cash back, but if you spend 2,499, cash back cap is still RM 28, so you'll get back only 1.12%..

for these kinds of cards, you'll need to target to spend to the minimum of the highest tier in order to max your cash back..
