Hi guys. Applied for a new card under the RM300 acquisition programme on Friday. How long did you guys take to get approved? As it's near the end of the programme, I hope I make it in time.

So far no communication from SCB since Friday, so I'm not sure if I should be anticipating any communication from them. I applied using the online form, and submitted my documents online too.

Just fill in the online application form and upload documents on SCB website. You will get a reference number.

If no one contacts you in 1 day, then call the SCB at (603) 7665 7584 (online credit card application) and give them your reference number. They will assign you a CS, who will call you asap.

The CS will send you an e-mail and may request for further documents. Then they will process quickly too.

After CS submits application, typically up to 3 working days for approval.

Someone mentioned it in previous comments (check back this thread) and when I was searching for it on SCB's website I also saw the PDF posted on the revised JustOne card (which they are trying to promote):

However, if you read the PDF, it is applicable to several other cards too, including the Gold Cashback Mastercard (which is what I'm applying for).

The CS who called me yesterday was trying to encourage me to convert to JustOne. However, I told her that my needs are more suited to Gold Cashback. The RM300 is quite enticing .

Got a notification today saying my Gold Cashback card has been approved.

Just an interesting point to note:

I applied under the RM300 acquisition programme (see earlier posts in thread), which ended on 30 September. One of the T&C says cards must be applied and APPROVED during the campaign period.

Mine was approved AFTER 30 September. However, the PriceSolutions people told me that their internal cut-off to receive all applications is 30 September, and they will honour the campaign cashback for cards approved by mid October. In short, she said that my card is marked as eligible for the campaign.

I normally don't like to rely on verbal representations if they differ from written TNC. However, I will take my chances on this and monitor if I really get the RM300 cashback. If not, I will still benefit from the card's normal cashback feature.

There is no annual fee.

Hence no need to request for waiver.

Yeh, the Gold CR suits my needs better and far more straightforward. CS kept pushing me to apply for Just One (probably higher commission) but I insisted on Gold CR.

Btw, thanks for to posters who went through detailed calculations on Just One. Very useful.

Has anyone applied for and received the SCB cards recently?

They called me on Monday to say that mine has already been approved. However, it's now Friday and nothing has arrived. Do they normally send via Pos Laju or normal post?

Thanks to everyone for sharing on card delivery. Will get my Pos Laju tracking from CS as it sounds like they don't even bother to deliver properly.

I was waiting for mine too, and then called CS to obtain POS LAJU tracking number. Delivery was "attempted" (yeh right) on 14 October, so they just left the card at Pos Laju for me to pick up.

Will probably go some time this week to collect. Better than attempting delivery.

Just collected my card and tried to activate via SMS. Apparently it takes up to 24 hours to activate. Still waiting for notification.

Have just swiped RM1,500 to get my RM50 monthly cashback, as well as to qualify for the RM300 acquisition programme that ended in September.

When I called they were very quick and gave me pos laju tracking number. The package was stuck at pos laju... Who didn't even bother delivering.
