well for a kingston ram, u can use 1.96V to go on 4-4-4-12 at ddr2 800.. i think that voltage(2.0V) is alright for a nice 4-4-4-12 @ ddr2 800:) try it..

Yup, try to increase the voltage. For me, I need 2.13V to reach stable with 800Mhz and 4-4-4-12 timings. 850Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timings will need 2.28V. icon_rolleyes.gif

Huh? After the best D9, Fatbody still legend?
Yerp.
From what i can see is that Fatbody can go a bit higher than the best we can see on D9GMH/D9GKX/D9GCT.
However, it has one big problem which is high voltage & high heat.

PS: Fatbody is also in Micron D9 family.

Interesting but never had the opportunity to try it out.
Yeah, it's a pity not a lot of us has the opportunity to test it by ourselves.

my suggestion is:

- drop your cpu multiplier to 10x and increase your htt speed.
- reduce your hypertransport multiplier to 3x
- set tRC to 21clk
- reduce vdimm to 2.2v

and start work on your ram from there. your hypertransport speed is currently a bit high.

he is using an am2+ mobo.
HT link overclock shouldn't be an issue for him notworthy.gif

i have some noob Question about DDR2.. today first time i overclock my pc...

i only up the cpu fsb to 250 (default 200).. then i let the DRAM timing to Auto..
then what i got after reboot
user posted image

from that pic, will see the DRAM Frequency become 416.7mhz... and when i do everest ultimate benchmark.. i got this
user posted image

will see my DDR2-667 become DDR2-833mhz...
if that "save"..or i'll burn out my VALUE KINGSTON RAM... cry.gif

or i need to resetup DRAM Freq. in BIOS to default...

it's not just about the mobo, it's about the cpu... he's only on brisbane

hard to tell unless you open the heatspreader which technically will void the warranty

it could be powerchips ic (by psc) which are very inconsistent, while some of it can clock very good, some are just as crappy as a nanya. this kind of chip was told to not liking voltage, maximum at 2.2v.

u know how to loose the timing lower and ram freq ?
go into bios screen , set 667mhz to 400mhz .
find the cpu max freq 1st .
remember , when u oc ur proc , ur ram freq will follow increase too ..
for more detail go to tutorial class .. icon_rolleyes.gif

The E2140 can OC higher. Put the memory divider to 1:1 and increase the bus speed until 333Mhz if possible. Then, target for 400Mhz bus speed, then you'll have it OC to 3.2Ghz and 800Mhz for DDR2 RAM.

Yup, agree with that. Hynix can do 800Mhz and 4-4-4-12. Quite decent. icon_rolleyes.gif
