QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 5 2007, 02:42 PM) No. hyper-X not overclockable Hyper-X model lower than PC2-8500 @ 1066MHz uses crappy infineon AF-3S chipset which is not overclockable at all. Do research before you post about things you're not really sure about. Hyper-X models below PC2-8500 @ 1066MHz uses crappy Infinieon AF-3S chipset. Even Hyper-x PC2-6400 @ 800MHz use AF-3S chipset too. You want an overclockable Hyper-X rams? Buy those Hyper-X above Hyper-X PC2-8500 and above models only. As those Hyper-X uses Micron D9GKX chipset. Team Elite is different, because all Team Elite Rams uses ProMOS chipset that is proven to be able to run at 1000MHz, but at a relatively bad timings. Not as good as Micron D9GMH @ Micron D9GKX @ Micron D9GCT. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 8 2007, 02:50 PM) Not all Micron D9 chipset is a good overclocker. Only three model that is confirmed to be a good overclocker. That is, D9GCT, D9GMH & D9GKX. Nowadays? You can only wish. As most valueram that comes with those three chipset i state up there is nomore. You can only get 2nd hand ram in the garage sales section. the only way is save $$ buy high performance lo ... |
