Not sure but prefer Crucial. I'm running my Kingston Value RAM DDR2 667Mhz at 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 also icon_rolleyes.gif

Definitely. 4 sticks of rams are more difficult to overclocked compared to 2 sticks. In addition, your PC2-5300 will hold back the overclock.
*
My maximum was to go to 850Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timings, if go all the way to 900Mhz get errors from Orthos within 2 seconds already. doh.gif

Should be able to run perfectly without any problems at stock clocks...... I have 1gb x 4 sticks but haven't tried on my DS3 yet....
*
Wondering why is that. You do have a lot of superb performance RAM's I'd say. If only I can get my hands on Crucial cry.gif

Lazy to try 4 sticks. So far, 2Gb is enough for me......  smile.gif

True2, 2GB is enough already. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just my RAM's can't go further, so have to wait for high performance or buy ddr2 800Mhz cry.gif

Yup, try to increase the voltage. For me, I need 2.13V to reach stable with 800Mhz and 4-4-4-12 timings. 850Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timings will need 2.28V. icon_rolleyes.gif

The E2140 can OC higher. Put the memory divider to 1:1 and increase the bus speed until 333Mhz if possible. Then, target for 400Mhz bus speed, then you'll have it OC to 3.2Ghz and 800Mhz for DDR2 RAM.

microns should be able to do higher... with lower voltage..

Yup, agree with that. Hynix can do 800Mhz and 4-4-4-12. Quite decent. icon_rolleyes.gif

nope, not micron chip i think, micron D9 chipset can do better. I think even Hynix chipset already can achieve what you did, no offense...
*
Agree with that. D9 could be pushed further. Mine is dong 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 with 2.13V. icon_rolleyes.gif

Mine is Kingston Value RAM DDR2 667Mhz running at 800Mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings. My max was to go to 850Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timings. Can go to 900Mhz too but ain't stable. Error with Orthos laugh.gif

noob here wan to ask any sifu here, im now using Twinmos 2x512 ddr667 ram, and i set its timing to 4-4-4-12 at ddr800, will it shorten its lifespan considering long term use?
*
Forget bout lifespan. In a year or two you'll be changing to DDR3 already. Either you sell or throw away your old RAM's brows.gif

Technology is too fast. Forget lifespan and try to OC within it's limit and not spoil it too soon. That's all. Furthermore, when you pay a price, you surely wanna maximize on what you'll be gettin, so just ignore bout lifespan issue and use it, OC it while it can. icon_rolleyes.gif

Couldn't agree more. The best is to learn the basics, do's and don'ts and the limit of your RAM itself. From my way of thinkin' if it can be pushed further then why not. After all you have the warranty and paid the price for it. Sure, don't spoil it too soon. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'd try OCCT. It's a test so we'll see how it runs. In addition if we can get stable with only an hour test then that'll be great. I wouldn't have to spend hours anymore to run Orthos test. icon_idea.gif

Dude, the Team Elite DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 4GB Kit [2X2GB] is nowhere to be called as an overclocking ram.

So Mr. Shawty, what would you called the best overclocking value RAM that is still in the market? hmm.gif
