QUOTE(rockmaniac85 @ Jul 18 2007, 10:05 AM) guys, i would be getting the ballistix sooner or later, pc26400 800MHz. IMO, 2.2 vdimm still under safety voltage.jus wanna ask, is it safe to set Vdimm for this ram to 2.2V? somehow i feel like 2.2V is a little too high and probably could damage the RAM.. anyone can clarify this, as well as state the best Vdimm for this RAM? Thanx in advance.. Even my corsair xms running 2.2 vdimm 24/7, I think should not be a problem if u using with ballistix. -pWs- |

Put ram cooler better although their warranty at 2.2v as the crucial is quite hot.
Me too use AllnGap ram cooler. I should say nice design and good performance. No regret if u get it -pWs- |

QUOTE(dblooi @ Sep 4 2007, 12:37 PM) btw, i tot your d9gkx can oc above 1200? Since that day you tried to lecture me about that. 1200MHz Quite a dissapointment to know that actually your d9gkx can't even reach 1100 Mine highest is 1050MHz. Cant go higher anymore. Maybe due to 4 ram sticks. Last time, 2 sticks of ram can reach 1100MHz. No problem. -pWs- |

Yes...AMD HTT and ram speed is different from Intel.
Please refer to the AM2 overclocking thread. There is a table to clear your confusion -pWs- |

QUOTE(v1rtual @ Oct 27 2007, 03:41 AM) im using kingston value ram 1GBX2 DDR2 800Mhz oc to 860Mhz It depends on how much vdimm you dare to put lor currently i set the timing to 4,4,4,12 with 2V, so far running prime 95 for 1 hour no problem any of you guys experienced this ram before?? just wanna know how far can the ram go I think 500 w CAS5 should not be a problem. Depend on your luck And bro, your rams are not running in dual mode. Suspect plug in wrong ram slot for dual ram combination. -pWs- |

QUOTE(nadeng1987 @ Dec 2 2007, 11:16 PM) Anyone here using kingston value ram 667? Just wanna ask, why my ram doesnt read as 333 MHz speed in cpu-z, instead it reads 299.4Mhz. Why????(i loaded optimized default in bios for my default setting) It is because of the ram divider.Read the table in our AM2 thread -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Dec 3 2007, 12:13 AM |
