QUOTE(tzuen @ Oct 27 2013, 07:36 PM) Me too. Youliang , if you couple Malaya with palmata shrimp in one tank, you will have mutlicolor shrimp tank that wont cross/interbreed. Malaya change color, Palmata born different color baby, what a opposite match. This post has been edited by arrow: Oct 28 2013, 01:38 AM |

QUOTE(arrow @ Oct 25 2013, 08:28 PM) O.. your lfs really give free pest. Look like leech. I'm using prime for water treatment and nitrates are in check. Those floating plants are brilliant for this.Highly suspect is one of the reason your shrimp died. Check nitrite if tsnk still new. Taiwan got sell seachem prime? Anyway, everything looks fine after the weekends. The shrimps are feeding nicely and active though I added some carbon for good measure. QUOTE(arrow @ Oct 23 2013, 12:20 AM) lot of ppl use 100% RO water for their high value crs tank, adjust the mineral and tds by using additives. Btw, what is the moss name you using for the carpet grass? You can do that with adding RO water during water change like 10% each time, but sooner or later tds will drop if don't have stuff to keep the tds slowly increase like mineral stone. with the frequent water change, else can add in some mineral powder during the water change to compensate. Beside TDS, gh will also be affected. |
