I believe they will make it ckd. May be it will be cheaper than the current cbu unit

I understand from TCM there's no CKD plans.

Besides, I would avoid a TCM CKD, it will be a tin kosong.

U sure? My friend say, he got ppl working in TCM saying that TCM Planing to ckd this serena but maybe they will take out the hybrid function. They are now working on the cost and got ppl suggest RM 180K. dont know if its true or not

I m sure there will be Ckd and no hybrid as no advantage to their sales. The price I doubt would be higher than now...May be would have few specs...

If that is the indicative price, might as well go for CBU Odyssey with 2.4 earth dream engine. RV surely far far better than Serena.

ODC is 228k and 248k, big difference to 180k. Besides, ODC is another class up on the Serena.

Nissan Serena had just gotten the facelift in Japan. The front looks much sharper and nicer...

I believed by Dec more discount may be given as I guess Tan Chong still hv another 20k margin to play with ... just my 2 cts as this mpv is under zero excise duty ... but don't shoot me if my guess not happening ya ... who know may hv some last minutes rushing buy as tax intensive would b end by Dec ...

As noted from today paper, there is a 8000 discount package for this Serena ... it also mean possibly getting 10k discount from some desperate agents ... I still recall when I walk into TC show room 3 months ago ... the agents said 1k discount and free dvd were for 1st one thousand customers ... thereafter no more such deal ...

what the hell, this is not even a hybrid, its just some battery to maintain your car while it is stop and it is merely a 1 min or so.

i just dont understand, IT cant run on motor assist. and cannot run on pure batteries. Its just a more efficient engine.

most probably if CKD< my predictions, the 2 power doors will be removed, the engine and GB remains, and the extra battery, probably taken out and no more hybrid. But the hybrid logo will still keep, this will also fool MITI,

My guess on this is ... new NAP may discontinue the zero excise duty for hybrib car under CBU ... TC would then make it available via ckd ... and probably sell it at 135k or so with some features being taken out like auto door ... and during promotion campign TC may further give another 5-10k discount ... so not suprising by end 2014 ... able to get this Serena below 130k ... some more with pressure from Mazda Biante soon ...

Should TC decide not to bring in cbu unit if new NAP not providing incentive for cbu/ckd hybrib ... very bad for current serena owners ... as may b lacking of spare part and become cold model ... hope government would still continue giving incentive to hybrib car ...

guys, when it comes to year end, there is always promotion. if you want better deal, wait next year Jan / Feb, maybe you might get better deal for 2013 stocks. its a norm la. dont be too alarm about it. my 2 cents.

Totaly agree with u Barry. YES.. year end sales for car as well mah. Indeed, u won't find many competitor to this segment of the mid-size MPV. Well.. I had been driving it for the past 4 months, and still enjoying my ride.

Anyway the salesman did started the engine in the showroom as i requested to see how the digital display works on the dash.
Found the radiator fan sound is quite loud, may be the 12: 1 compression ratio skyactiv engine needs more cooling power...
