QUOTE(frank76 @ Nov 17 2013, 07:00 PM) U sure? My friend say, he got ppl working in TCM saying that TCM Planing to ckd this serena but maybe they will take out the hybrid function. They are now working on the cost and got ppl suggest RM 180K. dont know if its true or not If that is the indicative price, might as well go for CBU Odyssey with 2.4 earth dream engine. RV surely far far better than Serena.

QUOTE(supergk @ Jun 23 2014, 10:06 PM) I am having the same problem.... First jerk was really terrible when I was going uphil probably around 5okm/h as if it was going to break down... Within a month, I have another 2-3 not so terrible jerks... I was planning to send it for checking during my 20k service but I think that I should send it for checking immediately! Looks like the CVT is not perfect ? Don't know why Japanese car makers are so resistance to adopt 6 speed normal auto-transmission instead CVT is not known to last right ?

Hi all Serena bros, currently my in-law are looking at buying a Serena, new. Anyone knows of any special offer or huge discount at the moment ? They are willing to pay deposit prior GST, and collect the car in Apr or later. Location JB, thanks !

Hi all,
My relative just booked a Serena, after GST price (already down 2k), and they got RM6.5k discount, plus 2 years free service. SA free carpet, full tank petrol.
They added leather seats and multimedia navi cam. NCB 55%, so all in all about RM134.6k.
Is that a good deal ?

Hi all Serena owners,
My in-law just got his Serena last week. Nice ride I must say.
Just one question here, that the car only comes with one power socket for charging stuff ?? I only found one on the lower part of the center console.

My in-law got RM6.5 k + 2 yr free maint, plus first tank petrol, rubber floor mat. That was in april.

I think CKD better than CBU.
With spare tyre, LED headlight, dunno what else.

QUOTE(dchk @ Feb 21 2016, 08:37 PM) Cause this is not hybrid car. If u read this thread, u will realize this MPV has a high fuel consumption. Full tank only manage 450km if u r lucky I just did a one day tour from JB to Kuantan on my in-laws Serena @ 12 Feb. Took Mersing-Rompin way through the twisties and i almost maintained speed between 80-100 and overtaking did require the engine to rev pass 5000 rpm. Finally covered 660km for the day with almost empty tank and pumped in about RM 85. So, the conclusion is that for such a heavy car, with 6 adults on board and most of the time not on start-stop thingy to save fuel. This is a proper, fuel sipping MPV.
