Mine is not 2 in 1 modem. It's just a ZTE VDSL modem. Not sure how to set up own router with 2 in 1 modem.

QUOTE(ramnkc @ Feb 6 2018, 10:27 PM) Hi ramnkc,At the IPv6 section, select the "Connection type" as "Native" and choose the Interface as "PPP". It should be able to work if your area are IPv6 supported. Try restarting the router if the IPv6 WAN IP didn't show up. Thank you |

I've been reading this thread and started to check my system log on the router.
I bought an Asus RT-AC1200G+ because the D-Link DIR-615 crashed and TM was going to charge me some ridiculous amount for their mediocre router plus RM53 for service. After that I couldn't connect because my password as expired. Had them reset it 4 times but I did not receive the SMS with the new password until 8 hours later. All 3 SMS came in at around the same time. Thenthier technical department called and gave me the latest password but I was still getting a password expired screen from TM. Several hours later it finally connected but it was unstable. today between 7:02 am and 7:32 am, the modem hungup 46 times. Ridiculous. So I called their customer service to enquire about a replacement. They will charge me RM53 for the guy to come over and RM400 for the new modem unless I renew for another year. What kinda bullshit? FYI, it is not lifetime warranty unless you are on contract. For those who collected a new modem but did not pay anything, you will be charged in your next billing. Also, they wlll still charge you RM53 for having someone install it for you, even if he merely comes in to connect the fibre cable and power; which is all they need to do. TM Unifi is a con job. |

QUOTE(sartan13 @ Feb 7 2018, 01:03 PM) I've been reading this thread and started to check my system log on the router. Bro, to be fair, they would want you to renew contract for them to replace the modem which is a fair charge, if you are not bound to them, they won’t be bothered to replace your modem. That I can understand. I bought an Asus RT-AC1200G+ because the D-Link DIR-615 crashed and TM was going to charge me some ridiculous amount for their mediocre router plus RM53 for service. They did not charge me for replacing my modem twice, so you will not be necessarily charged, so don’t worry. |

QUOTE(sartan13 @ Feb 7 2018, 04:15 PM) TM absolutely does not care about customer loyalty.. They would have first offered the recent official unofficial packages to existing customers before opening it up to new users. Only things they care about is how to squeeze as much as possible from us, especially the clueless and elderly who don't or can't keep tabs, maintaining their monopoly and locking people into that 2 years contract. This post has been edited by voncrane: Feb 8 2018, 09:03 AM |

QUOTE(tvcat @ Feb 9 2018, 09:13 AM) No lobang, and if you by from overseas, Asus Malaysia will not cover your warranty if there is any problem with your overseas unit, so keep that in mind. If you want quality, you will have to pay for it. Otherwise, you can try TP-Link. |

Quality will be the same just without local warranty but when you compare with the US, they sell the AC68U for only USD140 and with the same warranty also Too bad Tp-Link flash size is smaller Guess i have to get it from taobao Thanks anyway |

Hi asus support,
I'm on Maxis Home Fibre and using ASUS RT-AC68U as the replacement router. I'm following the setup guide as provided in the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBRbk1FSFj0...4AGVMEke0R-nUVw The setup was working fine for both phone & internet but recently, the phone is not working. Only the internet is working. Called Maxis technician and they revert back everything to their original setup (without the Asus router) and it work fine for phone & internet. How do I get both the phone & internet working with the ASUS router ? |
