I've been reading this thread and started to check my system log on the router.

I bought an Asus RT-AC1200G+ because the D-Link DIR-615 crashed and TM was going to charge me some ridiculous amount for their mediocre router plus RM53 for service. After that I couldn't connect because my password as expired. Had them reset it 4 times but I did not receive the SMS with the new password until 8 hours later. All 3 SMS came in at around the same time. Thenthier technical department called and gave me the latest password but I was still getting a password expired screen from TM. Several hours later it finally connected but it was unstable. today between 7:02 am and 7:32 am, the modem hungup 46 times. Ridiculous.

So I called their customer service to enquire about a replacement. They will charge me RM53 for the guy to come over and RM400 for the new modem unless I renew for another year. What kinda bullshit?

FYI, it is not lifetime warranty unless you are on contract. For those who collected a new modem but did not pay anything, you will be charged in your next billing. Also, they wlll still charge you RM53 for having someone install it for you, even if he merely comes in to connect the fibre cable and power; which is all they need to do.
TM Unifi is a con job.
