Hi, Normally my experience is that there is a clash of wifi channel on the network,eg. your astro transmitter upstairs down stairs, or your wifi IP camera or other wifi devices. Try changing the channel one by one and test. It should work find... icon_rolleyes.gif

after hard reset, the smart phone still can connect to wifi? But PC cannot?
Is it windows 7? When the PC connect to the router, does it say "limited access"?

Try removing the SSID of the router that is memorized under "manage wireless networks" of Network Connections. Then reconnect again and see if it prompts for key.

The phone (SGS2) was able to connect b4 changing the wifi channel from "11" to "8"..
After change.. cannot liao..

Then did a hard reset.. i guess default wifi channel is set to "Auto".. cos if i rmb correctly i changed it to "11" during the fiber installation cos "Auto" was giving problems...S2 still cannot connect to wifi..

PC is using LAN cable..
The thing is.. after rebooting the modem n router.. PC/laptop can connect for awhile.. then it will be gone..

Can say 99.999% is their router problem..
Might try back my old router see if can work onnot.. but that thread is too hi tech for me shakehead.gif shakehead.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

I think I have fixed the problem... :| Or it resolved on its own... I dunno what happened but today I came back and it was giving me the same issue so I decided to unplug the LAN2 port on the FibreHome and directly plug in my laptop with the LAN cable to it... Obviously I just tried to plug it in to see what happened and nothing did sooo... I purposely replug the LAN cable that connects the Thomson router to the FibreHome in the wrong port...

I then connected back my laptop to the router and logged into the Thomson page... Set "Always use the same IP address" to "Yes" for the laptop and disconnected eInternet...Clicked connect several times until the error "Concentrator not found" came up. Shut down the router and FibreHome and reconnected properly and voila... It works properly now. With my phone connected via WiFi... :|

I don't dare to turn it off again for now though.

10Mbps and only 1month plus subscribing. sad.gif

Btw, I'm staying in Subang. Anyone have the solution????

Previously it was only dc but quickly connect back. But I cant connect at all started about 2pm yesterday up until now.
Just called Maxis Tech Person just now and she said based on what she saw on her monitor, the internet should be OK. She needs me to get into the modem/ONU management page to troubleshoot the problem. Need to go back home first. Will update later.

Anyone here having any issues with their routers? I came back today and found that when 1 of my devices (smartphone) is connected to wireless, the router is unable to provide an IP address to my laptop, which is connected via LAN cable. I changed my laptop to wireless while still having the phone connected, it connected but still without any IP.

I turned off WiFi on the phone and connected my laptop to WiFi and it works like a charm but then, I decided to turn WiFi on my phone again, the laptop starts to disconnect. It's an either or situation. I dunno what could have caused this. Yesterday, it was all good.

Troubleshooting I did:
ipconfig /renew @ /release
netsh int ipv4 @ ipv6 reset
Restarted DHCP client through msconfig
and so many more until I can't remember...
I even checked my Event Viewer and found that it was showing error 0x79 on the DHCP client... Googled and still can't solve it... In the end, I just tried disconnecting one and connecting the other and it's smooth sailing from there...

tl;dr version:

Connect 1, the other can't get IP address. icon_question.gif

Try login to Thomson via LAN cable, then change the wifi channels one by one starting from 1, 6, 11...

4 days since installation, minimum problem. Getting full speed from direct download but streaming live matches in browser lags.

My 784n router is kinda hot, but just a bit hotter than the TM modem. Is it alright or should I place a cooling fan underneath it?
Uploading to mediafire is a bit slow, getting only 30% of 10mbps.

So far, I am very satisfied with the service though.

Understand your frustration.
I'm having the exact problem as you. the wireless was working fine until today, I could not connect my desktop and laptop but able to connect the iPad.

This router also restarts by itself many times, Seen that happening with my own eyes, all the LEDs go off suddenly for no apparent reason and turn on one by one as it reboots.

also the phone behavior is very erratic. If you connect 2 phones, sometimes only one phone rings, sometimes both rings and the caller ID only works for the aztech. Sometimes the phone LED blinks rapidly although it's not being used. Sometimes when you give a miss call using your hand phone to the VoIP phone and hang up, the VoIP phone only starts to ring a few seconds later after you hang up the hand phone.

I can live with that, but do you know how to solve this wifi problem? It's exactly the same as what you are experiencing.Weird that a few of us having this problem suddenly.
